In my personal opinion. I feel Rollins fell in love with Carisi when he helped console Jessie when they were out on a walk. Anyone else agree?

See this is why I slowly stopped watching after Amaro left. It takes so damn long to see personal development with the detectives in between cases. I enjoyed watching, but man I was getting impatient to watch an entire season only to see a fraction of their personal lives .
This is the one show I didn't mind the prolonged wait. I think it was a good timing. You get to see the partnership become strong and watch them turn from partners to friends and to maybe more LOL

Took her 7 years and 2 kids to get it right. Amanda absolutely drove me insane. Gotta admit it was maddening as heck but worth it in the end. Rollisi forever.

I really do love her growth out of trauma ad a character, it’s noce to finally be able to trust a man like that in the end. And they are the cutest together

I'll never forget how heartbroken Carisi looked after seeing the guy come out of Rollins' hotel room in S19:E8 "Intent". It took Rollins way too long to realize what a real man is like.

The heartbroken look on his face when Al proposed to Rollins at the hospital destroyed me 😩😢. When Al spoke of ‘you, me, Jesse, Frannie the dog and baby making a family’ they cut to Carisi and I just cried 😩. It broke my heart when he told Liv that at his age he thought he’d be married and have kids ‘and it all went downhill’. The thought that he was lonely…..😩😩💔💔
I think it’s more of the fact that he is her person and the fear of what if the relationship doesn’t work out then the bond is gone

Yeah it was an ex-cop who’d been in the show, his daughter’s groomer/molester (aka Jeffrey Epstein type) had got off despite Carisi’s efforts due to a corrupt judge. The father was angry.

Olivia got a reality hit when she noticed Carisi and Rollins going at it in the bullpen, she really just stopped and realized that Rollins was her and Carisi was Elliot and she was Cragen.
I like how when Al gets down on one knee, you can see Carisi's knees very briefly/subtly give out b/c he's in a panic about losing Rollins.
His hand was twitching noticeably. One usually does that when one is agitated. 🥺

I feel that Rollins did fall in love with Carisi when he consoled her baby, but she spent the next 4 seasons vetting her feelings. Love at 1st sight can be hard to accept for the empirically minded.
That's true, also I don't think she was ready for Carisi at the time. It took her 4 seasons to become ready.
Her dad clocked it when he told her she thought Carisi is too good for her and she also told Carisi that coupla seasons back.
Plus, she and Carisi were very good friends. If the relationship didn't work, it would affect them both. She fought the feelings for so long, but she gave in eventually.

I JUST realized now, the dialogue in Season 21 with Amanda Hasim and Sonny pretending to be a green card couple, where she says they worked for years and she always thought he was attractive and Hasim says ‘now I’ve changed jobs we realized our true feelings…’ !!!! And in front of Sonny! I didn’t even pick up on that the first time! The writers were totally telegraphing Sonny and Amanda ❤️❤️

SVU has never really been about the characters; that's why the cast has changed so much over the years (Benson is the only cast member who has been in all seasons). The characters are just vehicles for a plot (usually a rape).

The 1 thing that I really liked about Carisi was that he has the thickest, shiniest, most beautiful hair of any white guy I have ever seen. Whenever he was onscreen, I couldn't take my eyes off him. I have seen him on other shows where his hair was longer & it was even more gorgeous with amazing movement & bounce. I watch his episodes just to covet that beautiful head of hair!

Every now and then Kelli Giddish just grates on my nerves, but Peter Scanavino was the best addition to the cast in years! Love their relationship. I'm still sad that he isn't a cop anymore though.
Honestly a guy with sisters is 50/50 of a good guy. They can either be supportive and understand them. Knowing how some women can be and help them. Or they end up hating them and become a bit of a bigot
