One of the most beautiful friendships between two women on TV. I'm gonna miss them. :(
It wasn’t Olivia and Amanda crying; that was Mariska and Kelli…..Goddess, that scene is still too raw, I’m crying again. 😭

We’ll be seeing Amanda Carisi sometime , in some way in the fall of 2023. They will realize what a mistake they made letting Kelli go. I’m writing it into existence. I refuse to believe we’ve seen the last of Amanda and Rollisi

Yep. Muncy could never fill those shoes. We need Amanda. Also, I would like to have seen her take over for Olivia whenever she decides to retire. She's shown more growth as a cop lately. Especially during the premier. But Fin will leave with Olivia. Velasco and Muncy are just too new. I can't see Liv leaving it to anyone else.

Kelli Giddish is such a versatile actress and portrayed the intricacies of Amanda Rollins so well. Rollins was a comfort character for so many of us and she sure will be missed on SVU, it just won't be the same without her. I've loved watching Rollins grow over the years, I am so glad she got her happy ending. Even though I wish she was there till the end of SVU, the door isn't closed! Hoping for a few guest appearances to show her beautiful friendship she made with Olivia and her marriage with Carisi! 🥰
Amanda grew on me. Her character and her vulnerability are what's so real and genuine and why so many fans, including myself loved her for. She was pure emotion and Kelli portrayed that character to a T. I hope so badly they will bring her back. Rolivia and Rolisi cannot end. And SVU needs to go on forever until Olivia and Finn are old and gray...

Rollins shooting Ester is a scene I think about so often because Kelli’s acting in that scene felt so so real it was truly phenomenal I am truly going to miss her Amanda Rollins is a lovely charcter I am really glad that they at least gave her a happy ending 7:00

I was so worried about her last episode because SVU is notorious for not giving people happy send offs but hers truly was. She got married and changed her career. She’s gonna live a long and happy life and the door is open for her to come back as a guest star. I love it!❤🥺
I'm gonna miss Rollins so much. She's come so far. I'm so grateful to see her journey since she came from Atlanta to now, until found her happiness. She'll always be my favorite character and I hope she maybe come back in the future. I'll always love her... 🤍🌻✨

Amanda's evolution is true character development. We saw her multiple times victim blaming (the episode with the sex worker and part 33 episode) because she could not process her own traumas with her family, relationships, even her own rape, to becoming a strong advocate for not only rape victims by also the minorities (latest episode with the trans girl whose father was a cop). From being someone who made you wonder how could she even possibly working at svu, to someone showing true empathy. She made all the big steps, starting with the most important one. Loving herself so she can learn to love and help others. Kelli is the goat ❤️
I think there's something real about her character, even in her ''victim bliming moments'' Because as much as we all want to be like Olivia, and always roots for the victims, we all have our bias in some situations and I think Amanda was a great addition to the show to bring some controversy for us to see the big picture sometimes :) Like you said there's a big character development with Amanda, but they did it so she doesn't become someone she's not.
Yeah, she did have a hard time with women that were abused. But she really had a heart for Esther. The episode with her parents that never let her leave the house and she ran away? I didn't like the ending that Esther died. I was hoping she would have survived and got help to lead a normal life away from her controlling father.
@@Pitoonya Yes of course, but it seemed at first that rollins cared for women that are victims in the "conservative" way. She did not care for sex workers or for the other woman who killed his abusive husband because he was a cop. Yes, great episode by the way!

Yes, you are so right! And also, I didn't agree with Amanda about the woman who killed her abusive cop husband. She was verbally and emotionally abused and yes, raped, in a way that a lot of ppl don't understand. Hard case bc she never reported it, no evidence of rape, no outcry to anyone. But I believed her, bc I know. ❤ Edit: I should add that I didn't agree with her killing her husband and I think Rollins had a problem with that too. As do I. Verdict would have been different if he had physically tried to kill her and she shot him in self defense.

"Don't postpone joy" was what made me cry.
Amanda Rollins was such a monumental character for so many reasons. 1, I never ever ever thought I would be okay with someone else being Livs partner but Rollins was PERFECT. I would even go as far as to say she was better for Liv because Liv finally had another strong female woman in her life that had gone through a lot of hardship as well and she had someone to truly lean on and relate to. Their love for each other is the definition of true friendship. And from what i saw from that last scene I reckon those were Kelly and mariskas real tears. To me that was definitely not acting.
2) Amanda to me was an extremely relatable character. She wore her heart on her sleeve, showed her incredible strengths and weaknesses, vulnerabilities, frustrations, hope but then also showed great example of what happens when you have to be too strong for too long. She represented women that silently struggle because we feel like we have to be too strong to take care of all the people around us who struggle. And then she showed us the downfall that comes from that. The anger, depression and projection when everything becomes too much and you put yourself last.
I am so glad that Amanda is leaving with a happy ending, or at least I hope cause I haven’t watched the finale yet. She deserves peace and she deserves happiness, probably more than any other character besides Liv and I’m so glad she finally got her happy ending.

I Will Miss Her She's My All Time Favorite Character In SVU History
Loved all of Amanda's character arcs and her "ups and downs" along the way. It was so great to see how the SVU unit turned out to be Amanda's "second family". The producers of L&O SVU and NBC made a BIG Miatake. HUGE

Rollins is really the character who grew the most throughout this show.
I love you, Amanda Rollins! I grew so much watching this character grow. And I feel broken and hurt that she has left. I didn't want her to. I remember so long ago when Kelli played a character in an episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent. That was many years ago. Never imagined her to reappear as a detective on SVU. Wasn’t sure how that was gonna feel. But after 12 seasons on SVU and watching her character grow into a great detective, a wonderful mom and now as Mrs. Dominick Carisi, it has been a great joy. I know I sure will miss seeing her now on SVU. Maybe if we are lucky the job as a professor won’t be her thing…just a thought…Hopefully she will at least still make guest appearances! I wish Kelli the best of luck whatever she takes on next. We love you and will miss you Amanda Rollins Carisi! ❤

Amanda is gonna be so missed. The characted development she had over a decade was amazing to watch. All her growth in both, her professional and personal life, was just one of the best. She deserved so much to get that happy ending with the love of her life and moving to a new job. And i have to say, letting Kelli go was such a bad decission. Hopefully we'll get some Rollins mentions from Carisi >and< Olivia.

She has become such a phenomenal actress and such an integral part of SVU, I don't see how she can be replaced. Kelli's character was so multifaceted and dramatic, she brought much more to the show than just being a good Detective!!! It will be interesting to see how SVU, if SVU! can survive this tremendous loss.
Oh man, I'm so gonna miss Amanda ): she went through a lot of character development. I loved how she was always willing to be undercover for the sake of an investigation. It is neat that her relationship with Liv went from mistrust to loving each other.
Book of Esther made me cry not emotionally but mentally that Amanda did her best to save Esther from William but it was the intensity and the suspense built up all the way to her killing her accidentally

What I loved about their friendship is how Liv and Amanda had ups and downs. There were times Liv almost hated her, but they loved each other in the end. My only quibble was that Liv was never in the wrong. She's human too, and most friendships don't have one person as the hero the whole time.

I started watching SVU when Amanda arrived and fell in love with her character instantly. Don’t get me wrong, Liv is the absolute definition of a heroine and a strong female character but Amanda just adds this spark that cannot be matched
Every Rollins moment was a top moment
The bar fight scene with Amanda and Carisi, and the subsequent awkward goodnight, and his hurt the next morning…one of my favorite episodes ever…you could tell the “sparks” were there between the 2 characters 😊

I'm binge watching SVU from season 1 and am on season 16 now. When Liv told Rollins she doesn't trust her and she would transfer her out if they weren't so short staffed in season 13, i laughed. Here they are 12 seasons later, the best of friends, crying and saying i love you after doing an impromptu UC three way with a guy in a hotel room! Gotta remember though, Liv was still real mad because of the way Elliot left too when Rollins came in. Gonna miss Rollins! Only one better is Liv ❤️

I've been binge watching past episodes of SVU. Kelly Giddish is such a good actor. Love how she made her character Amanda came to life, as a true detective. She's also absolutely beautiful.
Would have loved if her affair with Detective Amaro was given more weight than a fleeting scene of Amaro coming out of her bathroom. It would have be great if her baby was Amaro's.

It was #1 for me! But what amazes me that while this was as good as it could be for Rollins leaving, it also makes it seem like it was Kelli’s choice. They could have at least bumped her down to a reoccurring role in the series instead of just letting her go altogether…there are a few storylines they could have finished with her and she is just an amazing detective…a true example of how you grow in a role, an example of how even tho being a cop, you have to battle and face your own demons…that’s what made Rollins or now Mrs. Carisi an amazing detective. I am going to truly miss her and the squad room is going to “feel” empty without her. This was a poor decision that was made but I guess that’s why they make the big bucks. I hope detective Muncy experiences the same growth or I am not sure she will last very long. #keepkelligiddish #keepamandarollins-carisi
I loved her from day one. The way she would figure out certain crimes when no one else thought of it. But that sister of hers!! Oooh, i really couldnt stand watching the reruns with her in them. (I watch them on USA and ION all yhe time)

I cannot stop crying he took me a while to get used to Rob wins, and when I did, I fell in love with her her character and everything it’s the first time Olivia’s ever had a close relationship like that with another female in the show like she cannot be replaced. I fell in love with Amanda when she first entered the squad room. she is so flawed, with gambling addiction, trust issues, her crazy family, her sometimes victim blaming, but she is definitely the character that keeps getting better and better, I witness her progress, her struggle, her pain, this is so amazing. How much I love Amanda, my wild card, beautiful blonde with absolute talent.
