Honestly, I think Shaheen just being like, a normal dude makes him standout even more with how much they've ramped up the action in T8, gonna love playing this guy
Frankly, I love everything I'm seeing. The rage art is ridiculous in the best way and his new moves are looking pretty good. The only 2 things I don't like is that Shaheen doesn't land back and surfboard his enemy at the end of his rage art, and instead Raven phases through them for some reason, and the removal of the Stealth Step 4,1 and making it a full crouch move.
@@Sevron I think it's main function will be as a transition into Stealth Step from FC because if it was a natural string it would make his slide pretty redundant. Shaheen didn't have any moves that let him go into Stealth Step from FC in Tekken 7, but now you can transition from the first hit of ws3 and FC d/f4, which I'm thinking is gonna let him have a lot safer options that still allow him to put on pressure without giving up his turn.
@@Sevron After playing him a little it seems to be a duck punish and with cancels can be looped into mids for more crouch dash snk cancel shenanigans. uf2,df (cancel) and ss2 leaves you crouched for slide (which can be buffered in air) or full crouch df4,snk,df1,2 (lots of choices here). If you condition them to block low or low parry iws2 (mid) is his strongest natural launcher. Something else he has a back turned setup with f2,4,4 which if done on airborn causes facedown head towards, you can catch back roll, and stand with df4,1,snkc, then 2,3,snkc,iws 3,3 is guaranteed if you are fast enough but full crouch df4,1 is easier. 1,2,4 as a combo ender to push to wall is viable as it leaves them high enough for ws,3,3 which resplats into df4,1,3 or if you are in heat df3+4,2+3 for his low heat smash will break even hard walls.
3:54 Flash Hornet might have secret input as previous Hornet movelist stated i13 bluespark version so this one might have Julia'esque df42bf1 input for few extra damage
Coming back after his trailer is really interesting because this was not the final version of Shaheen. From the trailer we saw that he had at least 1 new move and a handful of new animations, so a lot of what's in this movelist could end up looking different by the time we get our hands on him.
tbh i preferred his parry in t7, i know in t8 the dmg is guaranteed now but in t7 he had a mix up between the follow up 1 extension and f2 3. compared to just 15dmg here, liked the 1 and f23 options
it was a mix lol if you held db you will get hit with the 1 extension and if they turned around standing f2 3 would hit, stop speaking on what you dont know @@You_Rage_Quit

Hopefully the new low is less than -14 frames on block, in order for it to be considered as a real decent low. Ws 1 won’t counter-hit no decent player. It is 14 frames. The new low leaves both players in crouch on neutral. Most decent players , if they decide to mash. It will be a dick jab or a ws 4. Both will beat Shaheen’s ws 1

If the opponent is always down jabbing after u can sidestep launch. U have options to beat it. U have to set up the ws. It’s not a brain dead forced mix up but it’s still good creating Situations u can capitalize on. I was using d 3 into ws 1 in tekken7 which was neg 14 and neg 1 on hit that leaves u in crouch. I would use ws 1 after to catch stepping or a slower move coming out. I hit this ws 1 on top level players. Actually took the strat from lowhigh lol. To say it doesn’t work on good players is simply not true.
A lot of the new voices are worse. Namely: Shaheen, Jin, Bryan, Leo, etc. The only ones I can think of that sound better off the top of my head are Asuka, Kazuya, Jun, King, and Raven.

Shaheen is quite basic, but I personally find him enjoyable for his beginner level compatibility. Still, I really hope his character will shine better in T8 story mode. Namco were a bit lazy not to properly introduced him in T7, with no character trailer for him at all, compare to the absentees Josie, Lucky Chloe and Gigas.

Everything I saw in terms of additions to his moves is fantastic, only thing I personally don't like is the delivery of some of his voice lines. I don't speak Arabic but the way he pronounces some words feel a bit too up beat and almost superhero-like? If that makes sense. To me personally I think his more deep and serious voice in T7 fit him especially since his story revolves around avenging a dead friend who was very dear and close to him, I figured a man on a serious mission would probably, ya know, take his journey serious. Either way I'm looking forward to playing him. Absolutely huge fan of Shaheen
I love the few new moves, he looks awsome. I know it's a detail but there is a grandeur in his moves in T7 that i don't find here, his left arm isn't enough straight forward, it's very specific but it's missing. He doesn't look as over the top design wise as in T7.
Please change the Rage Art animation like they did Josie’s for T7. That makes Shaheen look more like a comic relief character, without the required charisma and personality.

Unless they gave Shaheen phenomenal frame data, he’ll likely be doo-doo in T8. He was already power crept to being arguably a Bottom 5 character after Season 3 of T7 and they did almost nothing for him here.
Idk who at Bamco thought it was a good idea to bring back Shaheen in T8 but they seriously should've done _something_ to make him at least somewhat tolerable but no, they gave me more of a reason to hate him even more than Lucky Chloe
yes lets return marduk instead of a honest character like Shaheen. Marduk with this tackle and 100 hp damage combo mixups or kuni with movement like an alien just like zafina or bob the most ugly character in Tekken very boring to play against as well.

The point still stands, those are way better characters, more fun, honest and with a much bigger player base. @pizzaconbacon3998 Well the characters you mentioned before weren't as honest as Shaheen. Miguel and Armor King are interesting yes there is always room for those characters. Playerbase is not everything though for example: Lei wulong is a very interesting character with a small playerbase and not a bland boring character. I looked at the command list of Shaheen and they buffed a lot of his tools including the shit parry which had no guaranteed followup in T7 a lot of QOL changes to his other moves and new mid moves. People call his playstyle boring or bland but its perfect standard Tekken, no swords or other strange abilities.
it should've been katarina instead of shaheen. she has lot of potential and represents an actual martial art. there hasnt been any other kicking based martial art users aside from hwoarang
Pretty sure Katarina is coming back as DLC at least, I think there are lots of Katarina players. There's a lot of classics that didn't come back in T8 too. I guess Shaheen's here mostly for diversity if any; gotta have someone representing the Middle East these days.
