Cool. I've been waiting for you to drop this. Let me put it out there: I'm not normally a board gamer. I played plenty of them growing up, and have played them with my friend groups over the years but my interests lean more towards the RPG and video variety. I'll be interested to take a deeper dive and learn more about the world of older and newer games as this series progresses. As I've said in the comments to one of your other Gen Con videos, your enthusiasm and genuine joy for these games and the collecting culture surrounding it has captivated me. You don't go necessarily for games that the fandom may think are the hottest or hippest games around, or sugar-coat your reviews to garner favor with potential sponsors. I like that you promote games you gravitate towards like Furnace or Distilled or Honey Buzz that attract you for whatever unquantifiable reason, and you hype the creators and publishers whose games you truly enjoy. I want to know more about these games that seem to have you so hyped. Very informative videos. I appreciate you, man.
I am absolutely on the same page as you. I had a phase of my life where I watched a lot of board game let’s plays, but I never was super interested in playing them myself. My interests lean towards social deception games, rpgs, and puzzles rather than board games or card games. I found this channel because I was looking for more information on Gen Con because I think I want to go next year to try out mega games. However, now that I found this channel, his enthusiasm and energy has grabbed my attention and I am genuinely excited to learn more about board games, and for the first time, I think I want to try them myself. I am absolutely looking forward to the rest of this list!

I totally understand, my friend group definitely leans more towards RPGs and I am the board gamer of the group so I’m the one who gets the game nights together and plans gen con for us, I even host a gaming retreat for my friends every year. This hobby is just something I love so much, one of my favorite things about it is how amazing a way it is to spend time with people around your table, both friends and strangers. As far as the designers and publishers go I will always give them their props as I know just how hard they work to give us these games, while in the future when I do reviews I will still be critical of them to give an unbiased opinion for people. I love photosynthesis! One that hits the table for us here often! I’m obsessed with any game that has a nature theme and as a collector… I must have them haha! I love your list so far! Realized I have all of these games minus Holmes and The Game so will have to be on the lookout for these 😂
My wife loves pandemic, I’ve cooled on it over the years as I think most do. I think fall of tome would be a nice middle ground for both of us to get more out of it
