Azul is the best of the bunch!

Glad to see you weathered the havoc of Hurricane Helene and are back to business, so to speak. Nice to see you alive and streaming again. If you were to ask me what game I wanted to try out of this group, I'd have to say Mysterium. The theme of it and the chance to role-play makes it the most tempting to me to try out.

I’m still watching…I live in Stone Mountain, ga. The day before my supervisor texted me and my coworkers to stay home. I live in an apartment, my apartment always floods in the breezeway(hallway) of my apartment & into the front of my door and closet that is close to the entry of my apartment. It was definitely bad. Before I went to bed I guess the storm hadn’t really got going. My parents had flooding in their basement, my mom had to call my brother for help at 4am, they said the water seemed like it was never ending. My parents live in Atlanta, my brother lives in college park, ga. He’s about 20 minutes away from them and I’m about 30 minutes. When it rains bad their basement floods but it has never been this bad.

Thank you all for your love and support! 💜 I definitely left out or forgot to mention many details, such as: My mom who had a full heart transplant done earlier this year feeling forced to go out and work to reclaim there home and belongings, the people my wife work with coming out as a full team and helping us through the clean up, and many others.

I was gifted Guardians of the Galaxy six years ago and am just now learning it. Too many games! ( Or maybe not enough, not sure).

So I bought a dice tower a GenCon24... It was too hard to put together, I trashed it. Can anyone recommend a dice tower I can order that's cool and relatively easy to put together?

This year was the first year my friend and I went to Gen Con. I found your channel when I was showing my family what the experience was like through your Gen Con vlogs. Ever since then you've regularly popped up on my algorithm and I've been watching ever since.

Disney villainous #12

Disney Villainous - 31 I have 4 levels of getting into gaming. Here's the short version . . . 1 - Growing up, my Dad liked games and I bugged the heck out of my brothers and sister to play games all the time. I even made up crazy stuff where we'd throw things on a table to score points and flick paper footballs (a football for each NFL team) where we'd score points and get a champion paper football team. 2 - During college and after, lots and lots of card playing, party games, and Axis and Allies. I was so blown away by A&A. 3 - Some years went by and my family and my brother's family would get together and play games. My sister--in-law had some games like Betrayal and Castle Panic and we later found more games like Azul and Unearthed. 4 - Covid hit. Met this guy when there was nothing to do but get with neighbors and drink beer by the firepit. He invited me to a game night he regularly hosts. I went and there was Dune freakin Imperium. I played that and could not get enough. These people are big time gamers and I am so hooked. I am now crazy obsessed, go to Gen Con (met you there), watch these types of videos, (yours are some of my favorites), and I'm always excited about the next game night (my wife, not so much, but I'm trying). A lot of my reasons for loving this are exactly what you stated at the end of the video.

You are spot on about Dixit. I really need to get that one back out for the holidays. You know, Will Wheaton on his Tabletop show also got me started into this hobby. The Ticket to Ride table shake, OMG, that was great!

I noticed immediately that the Villainous shelf was look more empty than the last video. I'm just starting the video. I'll see if my suspicions prove true.

I tried to think of what board/table-top games really introduced me to the world of gaming beyond the commercial family board games I grew up with. Not sure I can pinpoint one specific game after all these years but games that definitely made an impact on me and made me realize there was a vast spectrum of games beyond what you could buy on major chain store shelves were the card games CHEZ GEEK and MUNCHKIN. My friend group at the time that I seriously began gaming with was into the party games like CHEZ GEEK. That and MUNCHKIN were big hits and introduced me to table-top, non-rpg games that could have expansions. I can't remember all of the games I played during that period but CHEZ GEEK and MUNCHKIN stand out for me. Sometimes during lunch breaks or at the end of the work day when we were nearly done, my co-workers and I would play games like TICKET TO RIDE to blow off steam. The first big-box board game that was not the traditional variety that really gave me a peek into the world of more intense board gaming was probably ARKHAM HORROR. My one and only experience with it so far was intense and epic and lasted almost an entire day (8-9 hours with food breaks). We fought the Old Gods and it did not, shall we say, end well for us. I have not been inspired since to invest that much time into a board game but I did get a taste of how huge and epic board gaming can get. The last real table-top, non-rpg game I think I've played that really won me over was the HAN SOLO STAR WARS CARD GAME which is basically the in-universe game called Sabacc. It's fast, easy to grasp and surprisingly fun to play. I know it looks like I play card games or RPG games exclusively but those are just some of the non-traditional, non-family games I have experience with and that made a lasting impression on me. Ugh. This is getting long again. Sorry, man. I always tend to talk too much. TMI, dude😂! TMI!!! Anyway, I think I am going to seriously give STAR WARS VILLAINOUS and SMALL WORLD a look (or at least add them to the growing list of games I want to investigate further). I'll be curious to know how you like Lost Cities. I've played that one a lot. It always feels like you're losing when the game starts and then it's awesome when it comes together - if it comes together 🙂. I picked up Wyrmspan at Gen Con and had it signed by the designer Connie Voglemann. It was tough but held myself to just one game and I really wanted 4 of them. The 3 honorable mention games were Path of Civilization, Gnome Hollow, and Forrest Shuffle w/Alpine Expansion. I'll have to watch and see if any of those are on your top 100. Later!

I love photosynthesis! One that hits the table for us here often! I’m obsessed with any game that has a nature theme and as a collector… I must have them haha! I love your list so far! Realized I have all of these games minus Holmes and The Game so will have to be on the lookout for these 😂

Cool. I've been waiting for you to drop this. Let me put it out there: I'm not normally a board gamer. I played plenty of them growing up, and have played them with my friend groups over the years but my interests lean more towards the RPG and video variety. I'll be interested to take a deeper dive and learn more about the world of older and newer games as this series progresses. As I've said in the comments to one of your other Gen Con videos, your enthusiasm and genuine joy for these games and the collecting culture surrounding it has captivated me. You don't go necessarily for games that the fandom may think are the hottest or hippest games around, or sugar-coat your reviews to garner favor with potential sponsors. I like that you promote games you gravitate towards like Furnace or Distilled or Honey Buzz that attract you for whatever unquantifiable reason, and you hype the creators and publishers whose games you truly enjoy. I want to know more about these games that seem to have you so hyped. Very informative videos. I appreciate you, man.

Confirming that Horrified: World Of Monsters lets you add in the monsters from Greek Monsters! Hopefully Ravensburger gives us updated versions of monsters from the first two boxes to make them compatible - they just need to update where tokens get placed and which icons they activate on and boom, compatible!

For villainous characters…Chef skinner from ratatouille would be awesome. Captain Gantu cuz I love lilo and stitch. Prince Hans from frozen. Charles Muntz from up. And the old butler guy from haunted mansion
