Orianthi is the name of the lady, not the band. She is from Australia and has been around for quite a while. She's played with some of the best including Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, the Tedeschi band, Michael Jackson, and others. She also did a tour for a year with Richie Sambora. She has been called one of the greatest guitarists of all time.

Orianthi, Nita Strauss, Sophie Lloyd, etc., and especially Tina S from France and Japanese have been recently showing the world that women are also high level guitarists and sometimes even better than many men. You can see Orianthi (Australian) in the movie “This is it”, showing Michael Jackson rehearsals for what would have been his next tour, but unfortunately he died before this tour started. Orianthi doesn’t have a formal group, so she’s just jamming here and there. Asian and especially Japanese female guitar players are just outstanding, mind-blowing. I recommend “Dawn” (live) by the Japanese band Asterism (in this video, Hal-Ca, the female guitarist was about 16 yo). I also suggest reacting to Tina S videos (posted on TH-cam)
