Thank you, this is something that I'm struggling with, I can't come up with anytthing outside 4 patterns, and I know that I can do more, but it just doesn't come up in my head! I'll give it a try.
I was in Montreal for 4 days in October (whirl wind tour of Sagueney, charlevoix, Dunham and Montreal). I can't remember if I tried to look you guys and gals up but I had zero luck finding a class or even a ful priced private lesson lol.
Interesting, informative and thought provoking video. Ladies closing their eyes is a technique I have experienced first hand. At the time I was worried that it was because they couldn't stand the sight of me 🤣 Of course the difficulty with all this experimenting is that you also still have to keep in time with the music. This desire for different moves may however weaken the pursuit of perfection which reminds me of a quote from Bruce Lee regarding Kung Fu, which I remember reading in connection with dancing. He said what he feared was not the man who knew a thousand moves, but the man who practised one move a thousand times! Of course this is not to say you should only do one move on the dancefloor 🤣 PS this is sadly all academic, as our salsa school closed in March 2020 because of Covid-19 and has not yet reopened ☹
@@SalsaBailaProductions modern jive schools are open, and I think some salsa events are happening, but our salsa school Red Hat Salsa is still closed. PS so you reopened 14 February, yesterday!?
These are really good tips! Thanks :)

You know what I wanna do to get unstuck?!
Go to a Baila Production hosted salsa event
Remember those Covid?!
REMEMBER THOSE!!!
I will arrange that soon enough
Learn Hustle & West Coast swing for new moves and Carolina Shag for fancy footwork that will be unfamiliar to others in the club.
Neat ideas, Thanks
