That thing is small and quiet! I need to tiny compressor but it needs to be able to run a framing nail gun? I know it’s probably can handle a finish gun and brad no problem but the framing gun would need a little more juice,as long as it can get me maybe 6/8 shots id be happy! By the time I line up the next stud or header it would have refilled, I’d probably only out pace it when I’m doing flooring or sheeting a roof with plywood. I could use some 3/8 fittings and hose to help get a little more power out of it too

Great video, now it's 3 yrs later how's your California air compressor hanging in there. I just found the Company website, to be honest, if never heard of the company until today, they offer compressors at discount from the blemishes which only consist of cosmetic paint or decals and are new not returns still hold the factory warranty. I think I will pick up one.✌️

3 years!? OMG, still works and starts right up. My son and I used it for air brushing model kits. He fell out of that. I don't use it all the time, these days. But I think it is reliable, never gave me a problem.

I looked on the 'California Air Tools website' for blemished ones and they list it for regularly price at $135.00 and a used / blemished price for $114.99 so just buy a brand new one from Amazon for $112.76 instead. www.amazon.com/California-Air-Tools-CAT-1P1060S-Compressor/dp/B01LYHYHEA/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=California+Air+Tools&linkCode=sl2&linkId=2f5d9d645c1c3b29cb0a08907fc63b1b&qid=1595968197&s=hi&sr=1-1-spons&tag=providrev-20&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzVkVZRDk3V0hMQ1hLJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNDYxOTk3MVNGUkZDRVFXNzlaNSZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMTE5MjMzM1ZaWVEwMFhYSldOSCZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=

I just got mine from Amazon, I am very impressed. I would have gotten the CAT-1P1060SP with the cool panel for the extra $15 but they were out of stock but I really like this little unit I think it will be great for my brad nail gun.

Thank you for the video, very straightforward and has convinced me to leave this in my shopping cart-- might get it since it's only thirty pounds..

Like all tools powered by electricity induction motors fogett their HP claims. Instead go by AMPs @ voltage. AMPS X Voltage = watts which is power measurement. Generally 9 amps@ 110volts is standard for like 3/4 HP.

Thank you for the comparison, would be nice if HF start making silent compressors for less than $100.

No. It would be nice if HF not only made them for less than $100 but also that they didn't fall apart. What is this ignorant youth fascination with harbor freight junk that lasts 1/5th as long for a 15% cost savings? They literally, take the cheapest short life design out there, and shave off a few important parts to drop the price more.
Do not buy anything from Harbor Freight that plugs into a wall outlet. I warned you. Only fools who rely on a 1 year review instead of many years ownership, fall for that. What on earth are you smoking where you can't see the differences in lifespan being the most important thing?

Can I use this in the winter when the temperature is below 32 degrees?

I'm sorry I don't know. I don't see why not. I only used it on model kits, and filling an occasional tire.

Would this model be good for inflating tires or would a bigger one be better?

    • @royboy3597

ECXTD I 've inflated a tire once and it worked out ok. But if I was going to plan on doing it often ,I'd go bigger.
