Paice, Aston, Lord with great contribusion of Marsden & Martinez was the best band mates & best huppy band EVER. Pure joy, you make you feel that you're in a family celebration. There are no words to describe the value of this band
Tony Ashton went to St Georges High School in Blackpool and was in the same year as myself I left in Dec 1961 and I think Tony stayed until 1962. His enthusiasm for keyboards and singing must have developed after he left school.
With the Remo Four and Tommy Quickly? I had the same blue silk shirt in as Tommy and I was leaning on the front of the stage chatting to two cute young things and this voice kept saying 'C'mon, Tommy, we're on now!' Next thing I knew he was pouring beer on my head! Saw him next in West Drayton with my old mate Kim and he couldn't stop apologising and laughing at the same time!
I first saw Tony at the Post Hotel in Zermatt. I thought he was sensational, I had a HUGE crush on him...then there was Brian Auger and Julie Driscoll, at the same venue....those people gave a new perspective to my appreciation of music, well beyond commercial Radio's clenched fist. This is still beautiful stuff....
Recorded at Abbey Rd Studios in 2000 - the Tony Ashton benefit concert a year before he died.. Tony sequels brilliantly into "Why Don't You Stay" to close the proceedings.
The only shot I can see is at 4:50 in .You see his glasses .His hair is pretty long .but I think it would have to be him .It's as close as they could come at the time to a PAL show .I'm sure they would want him in .
Thanking these wonderful musicians...It's all we have left now to hold on to!!!
This is what live music is all about. Everyone on and off stage having fun and enjoying themselves
This is an absolute gem, back when music made sense and was clean in spirit.
Thanks to the uploader!

He loved to play my Hammond at the Star Club Hamburg... He is so sadly missed. He was my hero.................

I still often watch the PAL Live DVD. For me, TA is up there with Alex Harvey as one of the great front men.

Ashton Gardener and Dyke took this to #1 in UK before being toppled by My Sweet Lord.

Ian Paice on the drums!
I guess that's "etc."
What year is this video shot from? Amazing stuff
The original all the way to the end.
Nice find but why is Paicey not being filmed?

…Bernie!
im pretty sure thats Neil Murray on Bass and Ian Paice on Drums :)
Could be wrong (I usually am) but..is Bernie Marsden in there somewhere too Andrew?
@@mitchly Bernie's there & it's definitely Neil on Bass, as well. Couldn't make out if it's Paicey drumming (it doesn't sound like him though).
@@simonpreston1693 I know what you mean.

Sambuca pipi control -- ZERMATT _
This kind sounds like Little Feat.
Was he dying then? The voice was gone.
None of us get out of here alive .
Vocals leave a lot to be desired but it's a nice version other than that. LOL
I much prefer the drum beat and sound of the original single.
This is just a big jam session disguised as a song lol
Tony Ashton lost his marbles years ago ... or maybe never had any.
Dreadful.
This song should explode but it just limped along like a dead dog.
Your taste is all in your mouth....

Well, at least it's not not in my arse, like so many fawning, deaf commenters here.
