  • After many times of climbing on the Jeep like a monkey, Jeremy thought the door hinge steps would help save time and energy. I suggest this mod to anyone with a roof rack. I love them. Not only do the add a little mod to the wrangler but when camping they come in handy as hanging devices.
    As soon as I figure out how I will link the steps in the description. Still working on amazon links for you guys but I promise when I figure it out I’ll add it.

    Very nice. Getting closer to the roof helps the back out for sure when loading/ unloading. I would change that bolt out for a spring loaded pin. Looks good.

      Jeremy has mentioned the same thing. For now I’m going to roll with it!! Awning is coming soon and the weather has definitely changed up here!

    So what happens when you strip the bolt? Paint wouldn't give.
    I shimmed the door in place so I didn't have to worry about it shifting.

      mfh2112, I will recommend 2 options, weld a hex bolt to the cap screw and use a socket and ratchet to remove, or use a dremel cutoff wheel to grid a slot into the cap screw, and use a large flat screwdriver with a wrench to loosen. Either option will work!

    Hi, how much weight you think they will support? I’m close to 250lb.

      I’m pretty sure I’ve had a friend or two on them that weighed close to 300. They stood strong!

    Is hand tightening enough?

    • @lesstraveled4740
      @lesstraveled4740  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Austin Katz, if you have a torque wrench 13 to 23 ft. Pounds is the recommended torque specification, I was more than happy with hand tight. Appreciate the comment!!!

    Can you use the stock bolts?

    • @lesstraveled4740
      @lesstraveled4740  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We switched them out because the ones the door step came with were counter sunk.
