I like your humility, sir. Thank you for the perspective. However, should we say that because men are not yielding to the Spirit, then we should continue to be under the law? Where then is the grace of God? If the church goes back to the law because men are not yielding to the Spirit, it means we have powerless believers.(who are not filled with the Spirit) We are supposed to be led by the Spirit of God in all that we do. All that we have belongs to the Lord, and God loves a cheerful giver. If we continue in the law, it means we are compelling men to give. But we ought not to give under compulsion. Some people still give the tithe because they see it as a must, not because they want to. That is why so many are not blessed. God loves a cheerful giver. And we should not give because we want to receive. It is more blessed to give than to receive.
My fellow brethren, let us give as unto the Lord, the church is us, and we should be concerned about the body. Pastor has elaborated on why we need to give. It is to help the poor and take care of the running of the church facility etc.
We should give because we love God and want to advance the kingdom. We should not do it as if we are doing God a favour.Give as you have purposed in your heart , not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7
The truth is that the law is a burden , but grace is better. Calculating 10% is more tedious. Give freely 😊
Brethren, I believe more in-depth study of the word will make us more Spirit filled. Seek to know God, our Heavenly father, more like Paul sought to know Him, despite his level of spiritual growth. Let the love of God compel us.
Finally, the just shall live by faith. Are you in ministry? Trust God and live by faith. God can not send us on an errand and live us stranded....He will provide for Himself what is required to fulfil and accomplish His assignment.

One thing many don't know is, the actual beginning of new testament in the Bible.
New Testament begings when Jesus shed his blood at Calvary, therefore everything happened before then was under the Old Testament. Jesus told that rich man follow the mosaic law Matthew 19:16-17, because that time was extended part of the old testament. Jesus told his disciples in Mark 14: 24 of his blood symbolise by wine with them as the foundation of the New Testament dispensation.
The manifestation was on the day of Pentecost. I'm I right?

There is a falling away here. If The Lord Jesus upheld tithes according to this preacher. It is confusing to hear him say that Jesus did not ask us to pay tithe. He went on to preach that 10% is too small under grace . We should cheerfully pay 100%.
Under the dispensation of the Holy spirit . The holy will not negate any thing under the dispensation of grace. Do the things the Lord Jesus upheld amongst others and find peace.

You started well, progressed well, but your conclusion contradicted your premise, it seems to be borne out of fear of your employers. Tithe is of the Law, and believers in Christ are not under the Law

Pastor, you started very but you watered down with your conclusion. What we are saying is that in this dispensation of our Lord saviour Jesus Christ is there is nothing like payment of Tithe. There is no where in the new testament where Jesus paid or received tithe neither did his Apostles and Disciples. Pastor if you are to be sincere to yourself we have had many Pastor who cajoled people to give using the name of God. Let us all arrived at the conclusion that is longer a compulsion. When a believers is faithful in supporting a Church or a ministry such Church or ministry must be able to rise his or her support when things turn around for him or her not leaving him to philistine by only praying for him or making mockery of his or her situation. Even in the world associate they always comes good for the members in need. Church must be able to do that as well. Yes the believer should be encourage to give sacrificially but coerce or cajoled.

Thank God that I found the full version of your sermon, I was almost convinced that you are a false teacher from the skit or vlog I found where they matched Daddy GO's explanation of Matthew 23:23 with yours - where you implied in this sermon that there is no teaching of tithes in the new testament .. this false sir. The start of your sermon implied falsehood. Also missing up gift offerings with tithes and firstfruits which you never mentioned or differentiated is also not replacing this two offerings. The question of are you cursed when you don't tithe or use your tithes for the flesh - the main bone of contention in Daddy GO's and up in arms by anti-tithers is not even mentioned. When people fail to honour God with their tithes that is a sin.

He need to bring it home when he said forgetting about scripture. Meaning let’s look at it aside from scripture. Abeg go and drink water and rest.

This man's teaching on tithe is total and indepth. He has succeeded in convincing a whole lot of people who are in one way or the other skeptical about it. As an individual, I have always prayed to God to give me the grace to pay my tithe and also pay more. However, Nigerian economic situation is putting a lot in the reverse gear. Also, another grouse I have is with people saying if you don't pay it you are not going to heaven. If you say so, what you are implying is that Jesus is not in heaven because he never gave tithe or collected from anyone. If you say so, you are saying the disciples never go to heaven as they did not also give or collect from anyone. When did we as a mortal man even begin to determine who goes to heaven, when God says do not judge anyone. Above all, I pray God blesses us to the point of giving our tithe and even more than that. Shalom!!!

Most of them are all real men of God but always double check what they say with the bible. In the bible, The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees are the official interpreters of the law of Moses. But they don't practice what they preach and they put so much burden on the people. Take care. Study bible and always pray.

Matthew 23:23 (NLT) “What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest income from your herb gardens, but you ignore the more important aspects of the law-justice, mercy, and faith. You should tithe, yes, but do not neglect the more important things.

Tithing was practised since the day of Abraham before the law. Just as restitution predated the law. After the law, they are still practised. Paul was restricted in the book of Acts. What is wrong giving 10th to God when the government collects 25th. God even demands all, including the tither in the New Testament because He gave all. We still have locusts in our days, which are not the like in the Old Testament.

When a Pastor saying, forget about scriptures. The gospel you are preaching is another gospel.
Jesus and the Apostles didn't collect tithe, they were not Levites.
What's a Yoruba , Igbo and Hausa has to do with Levites.
A believer supposed to be healing people, the sick.
You answered a question, that a believer healing on the account of blessing of healing, it's a blessing from tithing.

The gospel started when? Mathew 23:23 ? No.
The gospel/ new testament started at Resurrection.
Why do we want to faint on tithing.
If we tell about Bro Gbile, they will say , everyone has their own message.
Many ballam doctrines resonates with the fact that these denominations are yet to understand the gospel and the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
They can faint when you talk about their sacred cows, tithe.
The elders who obtain good reports by faith not those who have results.
It's been a while I commented on stuffs like this but Sir because you started well and ended up with the law. That's the meaning of backsliding in Brother Paul epistle.
Why did you start with grace and end with the law ?
Denomination is faulty. Let's go back to preach Christ.
We celebrate good edifices and yet we couldn't hold Nigeria because corrupt leaders buy us lands and lightening systems. We call it blessings 🤔!

Apparently innocent but contradictory teaching. We should study to show ourselves approved by God before teaching doctrine.

  • @luther-kingojeiwa1392

I have not found one person who spoke against tithing who did not contradict himself. This man of God quoted and read Matt.23:23 in the NLT, where Jeaus emphatically said YES tithe, (pls check it yourself) and still went ahead to say Jesus did not say we should tithe haba. If you say tithing is not compulsory that is a small thing o, even salvation is not compulsory, its just your choice. My submission is that we can argue on the basis of the revelation that someone says he has received because it is subjective, what I still can not phantom is how we argue and debate what is written in white and black in the Bible, or how any one of us think we qualify to tell others what scripture was relevant before but is no longer relevant now because you got a fresh revelation. Yet the bible warned in Deut.4:2 (Old Test) and Rev.22:18-19 (New Test) that we must neither add nor remove from the words in the Bible. Finally for this pastor and his likes it is very simple, quit your job as a pastor because if you claim to have preaced and led people to tithe before and now you are debunking it only heaven knows where your revelation is coming from (because the spirit of God cannot contradict hinself) and what you will trun around again to debunk tomorrow. If we explect people in the circular to resign when they are found to be in error how much more should we not expect pastors too to do same considering that their failure or success has eternal consequencies.
