During Greater works conference ashimolowo called for 24hr miracle money, favour money etc supposedly ordered by God..all in dollars. I was so disappointed that Otabil allowed this to go on and always invite him. That's the prosperity con gospel for u.

Wether all goes to theological seminary or not there will still be false prophets, the reason why there will always be false prophets is because Jesus has already said it, as long as Satan exists he too will have prophets to work for him. Pastor Otabil wants to get rid of false but that is not his work do nor the work of any mortal man to do. Preach the word of God led by the Spirit of God then they eyes of the people will be open to see the true prophets of God and false prophets.

The issue I have with this is that many today use their degree in theology as a substitute for calling or even a gift.
Not everyone is called to be a pastor or teacher, not everyone is even gifted to teach, and yet because of this "go to seminary school" mindset, we see many so-called Doctors with PHDs in theology. Still, you will be shocked when you listen to the heresies coming out of their mouth.
Having a degree does not legitimize you to become a pastor. I would be more inclined to listen to someone who may not have gone to school but served in his local church from the bottom and whose calling into ministry was confirmed by his fathers in the faith than a random guy whose origin I don't know, with a non-existent track record of service but has a degree in theology.

    Is Mensah Otabil saying
    1. God has changed ?
    2. Jesus is a liar for saying "I will build my church?"
    3. The HolySpirit is weak now to train His people...
    4. Jesus should become a liar as He declared "the false shall come"...
I love Dr Mensah Otabil but it would be better he runs his race and run well and not think he can help God..
Many can identify falsehood in others but not falsehood in themselves because they teach and everybody claims to be burdened to cleanse the church and this is the plague destroying the beauty of the African church . .
RUN YOUR RACE AND RUN IT WELL, MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT ON THE BROAD WAY YOURSELF THEN MANY WILL SEE YOUR LIGHT AND FOLLOW YOUR STEPS IF TRULY YOU HAVE FOUND CHRIST...

In the days of the Elijah's and even the New Testament era of the Apostles who were NOT educated, God moved, miracles happened, John saw heavenly visions. But now, bible schools are here, yet the dead are not raised, the blind is not seeing, miracles are scarce, and FAKE Tongues are everywhere. Jeremiah 6:16 King James Version 16 Thus saith the Lord, stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, we will not walk therein. The old path is always the right way. Gone were the days when before a pastor stands on the pulpit to preach, he hears from God the kind of message to preach and so was accompanied with power, healing, and all heavenly blessings But today, because we use our own minds, there is no power. Let us all go back to God and seek his face and ask him for messages that are filled with power.

    Otabil said and I quote…
“If Christianity as a whole experience THIS revival, consequentially our nation will experience revival, because the quality in the pulpit will force us to have quality in politics.”
Now I say this and I want you to note it:
This is the God ordained goal of Christianity, and there’s not one Christian or pastor who hasn’t understand this that truly understand Christianity. And until it’s understood and all hands are on desk fighting towards achieve it, we will keep going through this circle.

  • @naad1225

We get what he is saying but going to Bible school doesn’t even make you an expert of the things written in God’s word
Theologians disagree with most things and have given assumptions for most things written in the word
Training is necessary but do not neglect the Holy Spirit
We claim we are educated now but can’t make much impact like those in the past
The Holy Spirit is our helper and training must be done but it isn’t reliable 💯%
Why can’t training be done in the church than going to a school?
Some have to leave their jobs just to go to a school for 4 years
Total reliance on the Holy Spirit is key

Look, even the prophets in Elijah days went to school. School( training) is very important in teaching God’s word. Christ took his disciples through three years of training. The current crop of prophets in Africa are becoming con men and they think that revelations and prophecies are the finality of God’s revelation, but they come to confirm the written Word of God. The word of God is the Litmus text for all prophecies. Africa prophetism and Africa Traditional Religion is equal and the same today by the way prophets today are applying their trade. Very soon they will be out of business. God is cleaning His church.

We agree on having an education when you’re called but he has this problem of demeaning and somewhat attacking the prophetic and deliverance ministries a lot. The fact that you are called to teach doesn’t make or mean a prophet must be like you. Many have by their own boastfulness prophesied the collapse of the church and its growing even bigger. No body can collapse the church of God. We would alway have the tares amongst the wheats who are you to say uproot it? Even Jesus didn’t. We need to be careful. These men of God when they get to certain ages speak all sort of heresies. Just like Pastor Adeboye did on his no tithe no heaven. All the examples he’s given are not like the calling of God to compare. We must be careful how we also criticize. With the exception of Paul and Samuel Matthew and a few who had some education before or after they were called , most of those God used never had any formal education. What I believe is if you were not called to teach don’t do it. If you are not called to heal and to work in the deliverance sphere don’t do it. That’s all

  • @yahelyahel332
    @yahelyahel332 4 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

The church, as it is right now known in the world, is bound to collapse, and this is scriptural revelation.
This is the problem of the church; there is no minister or servant of the Lord therein who has yet partaken of the flesh and blood of the Lord. All therein atmost who do talk aby sense, are all partakers of manna. And this manna, they are yet to fully acquaint themselves with.
As a result, the church is thus man made and has nothing truly of the Lord as it now stands. Babes are ministers; and if this is so, who do they produce? There is no true knowledge of scripture in the church, no depth of knowledge simply because the Lord is not revealing nothing to any therein. Manna is all they have...and use it wrongly they do. For this manna simply is in the growth of discerning between good and evil. Meaning, this is the true level of the church, and that in which they truly were to focus on. But sadly, even this has failed...there is no spirituality in the church except darkness.
The call today is to come out. No one can refine the church, it is poised to collapse.
    Shalom!
