    I wonder how much people on here charge to just jet wash the driveway. I would of charge that one about £140 but that probably really cheap compared to others. Not including sealing

    • @aemackintosh

Bit daunting at first because customers just stand and watch you, and water fed pole cleaning in this heat is sketchy (Can go good, can go bad) but happy I am doing it. Keep up the videos. Hi Ash, another informative video.
    I feel the climate effects how we work, for example, where I live, it's damp and cold ( North West pennine region).
    The gutter vac would be unsuitable, as the soil is always boggy , full of weeds. Ladders and bucket the best way up here.
    Always seems to be a nice day were you are, im sure you'll agree , it certainly helps .
    One thing Ash, a customer recently told me about a brushing in grout for the drives, im assuming you use kiln , dried sand, have you considered something quite effective, such as Geo fix, or east joint?
    These are resin based, and do a much better job of keeping weeds at bay. They can also be applied in wet conditions.

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your comments. I’m glad you find my channel useful. I actually find the gutter vac prefers it when the muck in the gutter is wet, it can bit trickier when it’s dry and crusty like that. Yes, I use kiln dry sand for the block paving. There are other products available, and I have tried some of these, but they also come at greater cost. So I just offer the sealant as the overall protective solution for the paving.😃👍🏼

    Spraying the sealer on is a much quicker process and personally i think its a better way of applying it as your not disturbing the sand and get better even coverage, but when it comes to block paving i really don't think the sealer is necessary i advise my customers against it, as there expectations of sealer is that it will stop moss weeds etc etc and that simply isn't true 👍

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe that’s because you are spraying it instead of rolling it? Also I recommend applying weed killer at least a week before it is cleaned. It’s never going to be a 100% guarantee that you won’t get a weed, but Resiblock is a great sealant, for sure. Thanks for your comments.😃👍🏼

    Any reason for using the dirt breaker as it didn't look to bad, I'd of thought the day tool would of been OK for this job

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When the muck in the gutter is so dry it can be a little tricky. You may need to kind of break it up into smaller pieces as you go so the machine can suck it up. It’s easier when it’s wet really.😃👍🏼
