1/72 Special Hobby JA-37 Viggen Build Series - Part 1: Intro, resin flaps and cockpit

This is the first video in a new build series featuring the 1/72 Special Hobby JA-37 Viggen plastic model kit. SH72384
In this part I introduce the project. Talking about the aftermaket CMK packs I am going to use. I then cut the model flaps off in preparation of installing the resin dropped flaps. I then paint the cockpit tub and resin seat.

Although you said most won't be seen I got a suggestion. The head rest/cushion was a pretty bright green dyed piece of leather.
FS14110 would be a pretty good color. It would definitely add a little color through the canopy.

Built three of the 1/48.. A bit tricky in some areas.. But nothing you would not be able to handle.
Still, think, hope this one is better!

Yeah the flaperons droop after shut down, when hydraulic pressure falls. So take sa little time.
The canards are lowered at an angle (cannot remember what) when landing and taking off.

I have build a couple of these 1/72 - they go together really well and just the right level of detail for 1/72.
