Glad you enjoyed this one. I watched it about two weeks back and loved it. Very slow paced and thoughtful film. I had never heard of it until I picked it up on the MoC sale a few weeks back but glad I came across it. I look foreword to checking out the rest of your marathon videos soon.

I remember seeing a harp that was played in the royal court. I wish I know how to play this. I also have to see this movie!

One of my favorite all time films. Although not a Christian film, I consider it a spiritual film as the (to me) Holy Spirit touches the soldier and he is permanently changed. He now must fight the inward battle of returning home with his comrades or staying in Burma and tending to the dead. The film touches on camaraderie, homesickness , alienation,, and a higher calling. I’ve watched it many times snd never tire of it. And since it was made by the Japanese just 10 years after the end of the war makes it even more fascinating..
