She is our national treasure and a hero who still lives in the country and is devoted to our cultrual and the instrument especially during the hard times. Her voice is so gentle and peaceful - can tell she was born to be a pure muscian! My grandad from my mom's side played Saung which is still on the top of our living room's shelf/ showcase covered with dust. Such a shame for us!
What a wonderful episode. Perhaps I will meet Dr. Su Zar Zar someday and learn saung, while I show her my lyre. It must have been a great experience for you to trael there, and play oud while she played saung!
