No one needs Harrison as a main hero
Honestly I hate when tv companies make shows like these have a limited amount of episodes because it’s not enough to tell a full story
Their making several seasons of Resurrection
How do you know this?
I don’t think the series needs saved , it’s beautiful
Yeah People cry too much it was a good ending
@@m.g.8897 it wasnt lmao, and crying on bad writing is a vaild response, it was garbage
@@m.g.8897 horrible endings
Bro what are you talking about, both endings were extremely disappointing and dissatisfied.
@@Ret4rdedno matter what the ending is lots of people will complain! There’s no right ending where every fan will be satisfied
Calling it now , Harrison will be killed off within a couple of episodes giving Dexter momentum to find his sons killer while dealing with being investigated or chased himself.
Watch Dexter Original Sin. The opening to episode 1 made it clear, Dexter is alive, and after the gunshot, got taken to a hospital.
Here’s what I’d like to see: Dexter gets busted, legal trials and everything, is sentenced to death and is then going to be executed, as he walks down the hallway he passes all the people he’s killed over the years with flashbacks, however something goes wrong during the execution and makes him a survivor, due to death penalty laws, he is then subject to the same sentencing twice and is released Back into the world as a free man, as he walks into the world a new he is met by the family members, friends and other survivors (like lumen) of those he killed, Dexter not only knows all of his victims names but also their MO’s, hunting grounds and intended victims.
It also within the lore of the show will close the books on the trinity killer case which would be an unsolved cold case.
Within the show the world was always divided but the truth is no one can argue that Dexter’s work didn’t make the streets of Miami a safer place, so perhaps someone (again like lumen) could step out of the shadows and begin launching a campaign for Dexters freedom or even a pardon in some form of another.
Being poetic in some sense that the people Dexter had unknowingly helped now help him.
Those would be my choices of ending if I had a say in it.
The series is not dead at all. If anything, it gets better and better. Best tv franchise of all time aside from breaking bad
one big no thanks. Its Dexter Resurrection. Not Harrison.
Did you even watch the first 3 minutes of original sin? Dexter is alive so it will be about him
Its a good series to be fair
Yep. Its called "Dexter: Resurrection" which means he will miraculously survive. Michael C. Hall has on numerous occasions mentioned how he hated offing the character as it was.
I just hope the writing is at least as good as Original Sin has been, or the early seasons of the original show....The writing in New Blood was all over the place, with some great highs but awful lows. Like the way Dexters cop girlfriend has no conflict of emotion about a man shes been with well over a year and knows so intimately- She just finds out and immediately becomes nothing more than a cop? Terrible writing. People are far more complex than that!
Yup I can't believe Sargent doakes is the bay harbour butcher
@ LOL Yeah..... That conflict ended far too soon, and way too contrived. The chemistry dynamic between those two actors is a rare thing in movies and shows. Losing Doakes really hurt the show imo....Quinn was a poor substitute.
The first theory doesn't even make sense since it is set in NY, not Miami. So Miami Metro is bunk in Resurrection.
I think he'll be on the run for a couple seasons. They did sat there could be multiple seasons
I think Dexter confuses alot of people, especially those who read the books....I'm sorry this will run long, but if anyone is interested in a very different take on it all, bare with me....
The Dexter of the books and the Dexter of the show, despite season 1 being very closely adapted, are NOT the same people. Book Dexter is an absolute monster- Cold, unfeeling, calculated, without regret or remorse about anything at all....Hell, he even tries to turn Aster and Cody into mini-me monsters. Something show Dexter would NEVER do.
The Dexter of the show is more of an anti-hero with a tragic situation and backstory. He was TOLD over and over by his adopted father he is a cold, unfeeling person void of any empathy or ability for human connection, and because people believe what they hear over what they see with their own eyes, they believe it. But take notes- Dexter puts himself at risk for others, especially to save children....Losing Rita devastates him to the point of being sloppy and having an outburst.....He loves his sister even though he denies it, as shown time and time again by his selfless devotion to her (unfeeling psychopaths don't act in selfless ways unless its for show-ever) and even goes out of his way and risks his own life for people like Lumen (One of the best characters ever introduced btw and I think it was a mistake sending her off after only one season).
In other words, he is a tragic anti-hero. A misguided vigilante who does what he was conditioned to think he is meant to do. Yeah, he is deeply disturbed, but an unfeeling monster? No.
And this is why a proper ending won't be easy. No one wants to see Bat man or the Punisher have a terrible ending after all, they want them to resolve their issues, get the girl, cope with their mental damage, and finally have the good life. And Dexter has far more in common with those kinds of characters than he does book Dexter or textbook psychopaths. If anything, he is on the Autism spectrum (High functioning) with schizophrenic disorders (voices and visions of people not there) and he is probably suffering from borderline personality disorder. Harry was just as traumatized imo, and had severe survivors guilt and overwhelming self blame....And probably reached his breaking point dealing with sick people so he aimed Dexter at them after being convinced there was no other way due to his own trauma.
So when they had the showdown at the end of new blood and what happened happened, I think people even subconsciously picked up on all the above and so for them it felt "wrong"....Like seeing someone down all their lives who keeps doing what he can for others (But in a terrible way because it what he thinks he is supposed to do) only to get one final kick at the end.
With all that in mind, ending this series in a satisfactory way that feels right WONT be easy unless they understand this....Thats my take anyways....
In the Leaked pictures you see him driving a military truck.
So that's something.
Leaks? Where?
I consider the first three seasons of Dexter cannon. The rest is just fan fiction.
not even season 4 💀💀💀
@ConfusedDinosaur-wu9vo Rita died in that one. I wanted Dexter and Rita to live happily ever after with Dexter giving up being a serial killer.
They’re planning on several seasons? So it’s waaay too early for him to get caught or killed. No one wants Harrison as the main character, he clearly doesn’t have the dark urges of his father and said so at the end of New Blood. I hope they don’t bring back Deb to nag him like she did in New Blood. We need to remember that they’ve signed Uma Thurman as a regular!! Ah Dexter, your Evil blonde attractions are just as strong as your dark passenger? Ha! They never wanted a long drawn out court drama, they purposely avoided it the first time around. Why now? With several seasons planned, he’s going to probably get darker, tv is darker and allows for that to happen? He’s a fugitive until he isn’t… and I mean he’s always been clever at setting up somebody else to take the fall. Who better than Quinn? Dexter is known for getting out of trouble as much as causing it, I think he’s going to be successful at getting out of past situations, his problem becomes Detective Logan. How does he get out of that one? Who can he frame, Kurt? Who knows, maybe he can’t but he’s going to need Harrison to do that, and it could be why he’s even looking for him? But the two things they wanted to avoid at the end of OG Dexter was the court case ending and an on the run show. I agree. Been there, done those! Dexter is known for his brilliance and getting out of trouble and somehow he will, he will deflect the killing of Logan because they were alone, he’s going to figure out a way to go forward, they’ve repeatedly (like me) said they don’t want him on the run season after season, I don’t either, I trust he’s going to get out of Logan’s death, maybe pin it on Kurt because the FBI is all over him now and they like things neat and tidy, like Doakes and Lundy. Anyway, have faith in our man! He’s coming back because people want more Dexter! Not Dexter getting caught!
Resurrection could’ve just been season 2 of new blood and make it 10-13 episodes
In starting new blood was a set up for harrison's solo sequel. But change of plans.
yoooooooooo
He still killed Logan.. so he'll be running no matter what
I think quin should help dexter since dexter helped him and quin loved deb
If they have courage they’ll do the second option.
Dexter wasn't a perfect show, but, it was a complete show. I think a lot of people missed the whole point of the show.
The slow spiral down for Dexter is basically what happens in real life. Because Dexter was pretending to be normal, he kept getting distracted with other priorities and it made him careless and led to him making mistakes. That's the point. It's not sustainable to be a serial killer. Basically every real life serial killer went down that same way.
They should have left the show as it is. Maybe do the origin story when they were younger. Or maybe pick up with Harrison and make the whole series a different note.
Spinoff on Trinity killer or the Butcher when they were younger? There's potential here to make this into a good series. But not getting used.
It’s not why they brought it back though… they sold it to Netflix and it got a whole new audience and they want more Dexter! The OG writers never wanted a dragged out court case or an on the run ending so because they were brain dead they gave us the worst show ending in tv history!! They plan on several seasons so he’s always been able to frame someone else, somehow get out of whatever trouble he’s gotten into. He will again!
Seriously, New Blood Harrison and Angela Bishop are some of the most unnecessary and uninteresting characters this show has ever written. Nobody wants them ( I know the season has Jack Alcott in it).
Nice fanfic, but if you looked into the info we have about the show literally at all you'd know how incredibly off you are
Isn’t this video just a reupload?
Harrison es lo peor de la serie ojalá no saliese de nuevo
I haven't even watched the series, now I'm completely spoiled. Won't watch it.
nah even with the spoilers it's worth it
Well that’s just stupid if any of this spoils a show we are simply guessing at based on a show you’ve never watched! Tsk tsk.. silly response.
