It's been 60 years since my Daddy died. I'm retired now from being an airline pilot... I've got eight grandkids. Ive been a bear, wild boar and deer hunter, and a skydiver. Yet the pain is as strong today as it was so long ago. Never think that a big, strong man can't or shouldn't cry.

Dad died in 2004. I’m 22 years old his dream and my dream was to make me a Pilot. 19 years since then. Still remember when he asked son what you want to become when you grow old I said a Pilot. My dream got crushed. You know how people start using you when they know you’re Invulnerable. I just hope someday I can make his dream come true. Aww man sometimes I can’t hold back my own tears. Just wishes to see him in heaven if I can get to heaven.

Eva use of situations I never had him he never got to raised me but he was still there and in my life and then as I got older I came to be with my dad and had the best two years before his passing I had with him was amazing but I knew something was gonna happened and so when finally got him back before that when I got the news like I can’t deal I wish I had more time and still not over it March 16 will be a year

Like so many here, my father has also passed. To any younger folks here: Your parents won't be here forever. Make sure they know you love them, through your actions and your words as well. And while mothers often get their deserved credit, don't forget about daddy. He has fought more battles for you than he told you about.

I made sure that I told him that I love him every night when I would get him ready for bed when I started taking care of him almost seven years ago. I understand what ylur going through my dad passed away last year in June due to brain cancer, I'm glad that he is not in pain but I've missed him everyday he was everything to me he had lung cancer for a 8years and then brain cancer for 2 years I got an extra 10 years with him. I'm 20 and now having a kid thats due in October I just wish he could see me become a father and for him to be a grandad i couldn't even spend Christmas 2020 with him cause I wasn't living at home, I just miss him everyday he was my world to me I cherished every moment I had with him I just hope he's proud of me.

Very true!! My daddy died yesterday and that is exactly what I keep repeating cause he thaught us so many things except how to continue to live without him. I just cant and don't know how to live without him. He was such an awesome father , such a perfect person. He just didn't deserve to go out the way he did with this damn f***en covid. He was one of the first to get fully vacinated and so strictly cautious about it. Took a seriously from the start and wouldn't go out anywhere that wasn't absolutely necessary with 💯 caution. Now we lost such a great amazing husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. We really lost a truly awesome, great and incredibly beyond surperb human being which no words could or ever be able to describe or express the type of person and rare unique soul we lost. Heaven needed an angel and GOD only takes the best!!! But I still can't push through this unbearable hurt feelings, this pain is way too much then I can handle.🙏💔😭💔😭🙏

I lost my father when I was 17 to cancer. My father was more than just a father, he meant the world to me. We were very close and I spent as much time possible with him that I could. He passed away in my arms and God gave me the blessing of hearing his last words and talk about things. He helped many and was respected by the neighborhood. My dad passed away on Christmas Eve 2018. When I heard this song I knew it had to be played at his Celebration of Life. A beautiful song. It brings tears to my eyes.
I was 11 years old when my tatay passed away, it is so hard to move on,but I'm still trying,hearing this song making me missing him more!😭 I LOVE YOU SO MUCH TATAY AND I MISS YOU SO MUCH!😭

We lost our dad 37 years ago. He was with my family during his figth from cancer. Our dad was not perfect, but mom and dad tried their best to raised 8 children. Surely, it was painful when I was driving him to the hospital for surgery. A few days later, after the proceeding, he'd left us. Sorry, he was not able to here for the last time , I LOVE YOU and THANK YOU FOR BEING MY DAD.

I was 7 almost 8 when my dad died so I can’t remember much. I remember he worked really hard to provide for 5 young children. I loved seeing him come home walking across the railroad tracks with his lunch pail. I remember never getting in trouble for annoying my older sisters. We were all daddies girls. Poor but loved. I never had a dad after him so hug your dad today!!!

I’m only 17 rn and I haven’t lost my dad or anything but this song makes me cry every time. I can’t get over how much a father means. Even if you but heads or whatever, it’s always a blessing to think back to how he raised you. I’ll never forget that about my dad. And I love him for that.

I lost my precious daddy August 2022. It devastated me. I know he’s at peace now, he’s not in pain or suffering anymore. That brings me some peace. Now I’m trying to take care of his fur babies that he loved so dearly, he tried so hard to stay here for them, but he couldn’t hang on any longer. I’m longer for the day I get to see you again daddy, and hug you and tell you how much I’ve missed you. I love you so much my precious daddy. 💔😭

Dad passed back in March. He was only 58. Been missing him a lot in the months since. I still hear his voice guiding me along the way.

my dad is my best friend and my everything. he is always there for me and was in times when no one else was. when my mom left us when i was 12 he raised me up alone although we lost everything we had; our house, our car, our horses.. everything. he always tried to be as strong ad he could be for me. i wasn't easy when i was a teenager and i was really awful to him at some times. i really regret that now and i wish i was a better kid. i hope i can make everything up to him one day. i love my dad more than words could ever describe and i'm mortally afraid of the day he won't be here anymore.. i'm beyond thankful, that god send this angel to earth to be my father!
my father was the love of my life. he had my back when no one else would. and just like you Julia, treated him poorly during my teen years. I was selfish and inconsiderate. I did and said alot i wish i hadn't. He passed away several years ago. I wasn't ready, but then again who really is.
There is not a day that passed I don't miss him, now that he is gone the one thing that I wish for more than anythiny, is just to tell him I love him one more time....
Julia if I can give you one piece of advice, please tell him that you love him every chance you get. because when he is gone that's is all that you will want.

Hello Debbie, how are you doing today.
I found this song almost 2 years ago. I was in a dark place.. Jobless and stressed. That's when my Dad brought me in his game and taught me how to be a car salesman. He told me from the jump that I would be great at it.. Come November will be my 2 year anniversary. I am so lucky to work with him. To see my father every day.. And be just as good as him in this business.. Thank you for being my Dad.. 😢. I love you so much Dad.

Jon Barker I lost my Dad on November 9th too and we played this song as his coffin was interred. Everybody commented that the song was the most touching and perfect song we could have chosen.
