About this Video:
Item streams are a helpful way to move items in minecraft. This one is going to use water streams to get our items around. We can move items up, down, left, right, group them and hold them. Enjoy this easy tutorial!
Make sure to checkout the Redstone School Video for Bedrock/MCPE!
th-cam.com/video/-kEwVYyPPIE/w-d-xo.html
do you know if this works in bedrock
an extra tip on using cobwebs: it's good for severe leg if you have a farm that's often outputting lots of items to group them together so the server has less entities :)
lol leg! leg*
Laaaaaaaag*
This video contains all the water stream tricks in one handy place! Thanks for that.
Great video, dude. I often just want someone to go over all the basic concepts and why they work instead of just rote showing how to build one component of a subject (and build it in one way), "How to build a water elevator!". This is perfect and helps me solve the problems of how to get stuff from A to B in my own world. Muchos Gracias.
I love that there is a guy that is good at Redstone and make tutorials for bedrock!!! Great vid
honestly goated video, even though its 4 years old, still holds up to today.
Packed ice is nice I just prefer blue because of the small light that comes off of it, but nice video👍
Same!!
Do I look like I am made of money :)
@@Sandvall lol
This is gonna be useful. I have a tiny water fall in a village I'm restoring, and I plan on making it like the watermelon river (if you have seen that video) so I need to dispense the items into the water for that effect.
Thank you for making bedrock redstone videos. All of the other redstone TH-camrs, that I know, only do Java Edition tutorials. I love you videos!
memo when making:
4:24 right side
4:10 left side
4:59 hopper connection
Don't know if someone has mentioned it yet, but I wanted to correct your statement about item travel speeds on different types of ice:
Packed Ice and Regular Ice both have the same "slipperiness" value of (0.98) and blue has a value of (0.989), so there is no difference between the use of the first two in terms of speed, but there is with blue ice. The only advantage in using packed would be to avoid ice melting, but regular ice will still perform the same if you're looking for a cheap resource.
I love this video. I've come back to it for reference many many times. Thank you so much!.
One comment. Travel speed over ice... It only matters if the ice is bare. If I'm not mistaken, through a water stream the speed does not change whether it is ice or any other solid block. The only place it matters is in the gap between water streams under your trap doors.
I believe for the most part you’re right. I think there are blocks that slow it down even in water (not 100% on that though).
Thanks bro
I searched many videos but none of them were working
Ur build is working
Thank you once again
❤️
This video is so dense and informative and applies to both versions THANK YOU
I can foresee an afternoon of me watching all these informative videos. They're very good! 🤓
That's sub worthy my friend, great attention to detail! Clear, concise, very useful guide thank you!!!!
Amazing tutorial, he actually teaches us, very appreciated.
This tutorial was very helpful. I was able to use it to setup a mini transport hub.
10:00 if your water stream is coming from the other side, you can use a waterlogged double sea pickle to align it in the exact same way!
Nice info!!!
I just found this video. MINDBLOWN amazing explanation man! Thanks
dude omg thank you. you’re my hero
😸Thanks for showing us about water redstone
I always wanted to build this for sorting out my chest
I really liked how you did this tutorial and combined your earlier ones 👍
I go back to this video every like 10 hours cause I’m reusing the spitter design and forgot how to make it.
Used it for an iron golem/trading hall that I made, works awesome I have more iron than I know what to do with, literally.
Also use it for a tree farm I built in my basement, I just mine trees and the wood I don’t grab and any apples or saplings are grabbed by a hopper minecart, that flies over two hoppers hooked to a dispenser that spits em into a water stream up like 20 blocks into my sapling/wood/Apple chest, then I just grab saplings when I’m done and replant. It’s awesome and super helpful instead of using a ton of droppers and hoppers and lagging my game out.
Been playing for like 2 years but I’m finally getting into farms and red stone and more advanced stuff. This definitely helps. Thanks
I just learned so much from this short video. Thank you.
in bedrock one problem is that from a stream to a soul sand water elevator, things often get stuck in the wall. using actual wall blocks there helps since they give the item a bitmore space
What I recommend if you build this is build it near your base or along a road that you travel frequently otherwise it won’t spawn in the chunks.
U deserve more subs for that kind of presentation
Subbed immediately
Thanks!
Dude, you are a minecraft genius.
The "woosh" cut scene is very nice 👍 nice editing style ! U got a sub !
Hey, amazing video hust wanted to say you can transport items very quickly and very far using slime blocks to thrust the items on to packed ice : )
great video! Very easy to understand.
So far so good with using this design on my ps4 😁... I've been very happy with yur designs for quite some time ☺... yur tutorials have been easy to follow.... keep up with the great work 👍
Thank you so much!
Water transportation is my favorite thing in minecraft
Amazing tutorial! Great work & thanks!! :)
Thanks, it is very helpful!!))
Well this is awesome video, precise, complete and super useful.. good job!!!
This was an really helpful and good video thx
The double hopper from the chest to the dropper was overloading my sorting hoppers. For some reason the items coming in that fast ruins the locked hoppers. Too awesome for the 3,5,5,5 setup anyways.
Amazing video bro God bless ya thank youu
Nice! I hope I can bild a transportation system for mining with your video
I love this guy his just like a teacher
This is about to give my SMP a serious upgrade
That iron bars tip - very helpful!
very helpful, thank you!
Awsm! You deserve far more subs ! Just subbed (:
Thx for the video you are the reason I am going to do more red stone videos on my channel cause your video showed me
Amazing tutorial, so informative und useful
Thank you 👍🏼
hey my item dropper in 1.16.2 isn't working
it spits out items for a couple of second then stops then goes again for a couple of second and it repeats that
Sounds like you’re missing the redstone in the bottom row of blocks. You can join the discord and we can help you get sorted out!
Nice this will be helpful for my bunker
This helped me keep a 15 item sorter in one chunk. I gotta see if it can handle that speed. If so. HOOHHHHH MANNN
complete video, nice job, thank u
The problem with the items moving "super fast" in item sorters is that the hoppers cannot pick items up that fast. You end up having to have a 'overflow chest' at the end because the items are zipping by the hoppers so fast they don't get picked up and sorted by the system. Kind of defeats the purpose of an item sorter if you have to constantly be checking that overflow chest and sorting the items yourself.
Depends on the volume of items more than speed. Either way looping the water will cause items to get multiple chances to filter.
@@AnimusJGames I never thought of looping it, That is a great tip, thanks! I usually just put some delay on my repeaters on the dropper clock but I'll have to experiment with looping.
This was so useful!! Ur definitely getting a sub! Thank you!! 😁😁😁
Not sure how or why, but when testing on Bedrock, about half of the items put into the system just disappear. Checked all the hoppers, checked all the chests, checked the dropper. 64 cut to 36 and then again to 19.
I'm playing on java 1.16.4, and the torches don't update like at min 4:23, the dropper drops 8 items and then stops for 1 second and drops 8 items again. Im using a comparator clock, great video again xd
Very nice video man
awesome tutorial, thank you
this not working anymore - but if you place instead of the the dropper a hopper, and under the hopper the Dropper (directly above the first redstone torch), it will work - make sure to doúble feed the dropper :)
In addition to chests/cake, you can also use honey blocks to align items for hopper pickup.
And for some reason, possibly a bug, vertical trapdoors can be used as well. This is interesting because you can effectively shut off item flow by simply opening closing the trap door if it was placed on the top half of the containing block.
Nice!
Thanks so much
it was an awesome video and helped me a lot
Thanks! I learned what I wanted to learn about water streams, good job. I learned a lot more too, so good job again :-). Thanks also for the tip on the same block for redstone. I'll do it from now on but I won't go back through all my redstone stuff :-D. Do you know how I can collect items that come floating up in a sea or river?
How would I get items traveling via hoppers, to get into water, so i need the items in the hoppers to get spit into the water so i travels via water, getting items from hoppers to water?
Use the dropper circuit I show in the video
@@AnimusJGames time stamp?
ive copied the beginning bit for the item dropper system twice and my torches are blinking one at a time instead of in sync together like yours. not getting the 2x drop rates. Any tips or tricks???
If you join the discord we may be able to help you out
my water streams moving item too fast and the hopper can't collect it, is there anyway that i can slow down my water streams a bit ?
4:15 but how does the torch under the comparator power the dropper? It does basically nothing, it seems like
Join discord and we can help you understand
God damn the intro reminds me of the AOT season 4 Ed
That Clock for the Dropper sadly doesnt work good for me, it stops all 4-5 drops for about half e second and continue, the 2 repeater 4 readstone mini baseclock is pretty twice at fast, im playing on 1.21 Java, maybe thats the issue.
EDIT: it stops every 10 items for half a second, still exactly half as fast as the basic speed clock i mention upper. But everything else worked fine, thanks
does the fast dropper work in java edition though ??
Awesome video thanks
Great video. I am having a problem with items only going about halfway up the water column. The bubbles go all the way to the top, but items do not. Any ideas why?
Add ice blocks before the elevator. Join the discord if you need more help!
Best video on this in all TH-cam 👍
So have you tried using 5 dispensers at the source for greater item flow?
I had a question:) Is it posible to have a water stream of 2 wide and than let it slipt to right and left?
Yes, would just take some creativity in making them go the directions you wanted. Join discord and we can help if you are stuck!
Would this work with transporting baby villagers
th-cam.com/video/AJMSdMpvCcM/w-d-xo.html
Can you do this over 1000 block distance or are unloaded chunks a problem?
You’ll need to keep them loaded
Does all the mechanisms works in Java Edition?
Yes 🙌
Ty
How do u get your item to move so slow
is there any way to keep the item centered when floating through
A spider web will center the block once it drops through.
how do we do this with armour stands to make them flow fast?
My dropper stops after a few seconds do you have a fix
Did you put the double blocks and double red stone? Usually stops like that if only one torch has been powered
I have double check the vid a few times and can confirm I have built it correctly after some testing I have built it facing east and dropper starts and stops every few seconds but when facing north works as advertised... so confused
@@stargazer5197 you might try the east-facing one again, but flip everything in the build on the north-south axis, if that makes sense. Like, anywhere you have something on the south side of a block, move it to the north and vice versa. I found this sometimes matters.
@@groundskeepr i will give it a try in the end i just swapped it out for a couple of observers and a piston its fast enough for my needs
it is, indeed, super fast
does the soul sand thing to make your item float still works?
Yes!
Thank youuuuuuuu!!!!
The redstone item dropper is constantly breaking. How do i fix it?
On Minecraft Bedrock edition.
Join discord and we can help out
In 1.17, I use glow lichen to separate the water
is this broke in 1.18 ? both torches arent burning out at the same time for me
It still works, if you’re on Java you may need one other redstone line on top of the blocks. Join discord if you need help.
Thx for your Video. I have Problems on PS4 (Minecraft 1.16) with Item Transport. Trapdoors + Slabs dont work. The Water flows through it.. Have someone any idea?
That’s very strange, if you can join the discord we will figure out how to help you
It cuz the trapdoors and slabs are getting waterlogged. Put the water a block after the slab or trapdoors
@@tchort2397 thank you! it works! :)
Mine only shoots 4 and stops dropping items pls help
the fast dropper does not work anymore in 1.19 :(
How far away can you send items? Is there a limit?
Guido Sanchez-Portuguez as long as the items don’t despawn and the area they’re traveling through it loaded you can send them as far as you want
is that worked in java Edition?
Yes
Is this working for java version ?
Yes
this work in java?
Yes!
my water keeps freezing idk why :(
how bout' java?
works on java ?*
Yes
its like, hes talking, using commas, between, many, of his, words.
Honestly, he's a better talker than most big time redstone nerds. I love his clarity and accuracy.
Is this working on bedrock??
Yes, the video was even made on bedrock!
Thanks!
