The state parks are slowly updating to full hookups. Letchworth State Park south of Rochester and just North of Jones Pond campground is the nicest. Green Lakes is Nice too. But like you said, You need to plan way ahead, and Non-residents pay a premium, which I really dislike!
Letchworth is beautiful! A total gem. Good to know they are slowly moving to full hookups… that will be nice. Next time we go to that area we will plan way in advance so we can stay at more.
I haven’t been to this region and it looks quite beautiful…a fun place to explore!

Hi! Ty for the tour! What’s the quickest way to get to the swimming area?
Take the South entrance, and park in the day use area right past the office. It’s less than a five minute walk up The path to the swimming area. Enjoy!!!

Actually, fresh, potable, water is available throughout the camp ground.
Thanks for the update! We found one spigot when we were there but guess we didn't hunt the whole campground. Hope you guys had a great trip there!
