You have made the song your own. It is just as beautiful as Jason's version, but of course as one would expect, you have added your own vibration to it, The cadence and also the vocal and instrumental phrasing. that is so unique to your duo. I appreciate the video a lot. This song has haunted and called to me for decades. I first heard it at 2 or 3 am in most probably 2002. IT was on 88.5 fm, wras, the student radio of georgia state university. though it has become an npr station in recent times, then it wass 100% student run and they played anything they liked. one night i requested the song and i then recorded it. After that i lost the song. i couldn't remember the name of the song. and i only knew the group had the word "ohia" in it. that turned out to be close but not accurate. then late in 2023 i heard it on a playlist at a loved ones house on spotify, again, very late at night. Thus opened the floodgates of songs: ohia and jason molina. i was devastated to learn he had already left his body.
Thank you for the kind words, Todd. I am happy you liked this version. The real work was done by Jason for having created such a haunting song. A very sad and premature ending for a very gifted songwriter. I am certain he would be extremely happy to know that he has found such a devoted fan in you. Thanks for your message.
Wow...fun to find this while looking for other versions of this amazing song. Thanks for sharing, this is just magical. Doing his words justice in every sense of the word.
This was the first Molina cover we ever played in Windsor at FAMMfest a couple years ago! I just heard about you guys from a podcast out of Windsor. I think Travis worked sound at the venue we played and he is one of the hosts of the podcast. It must mean something!
Jason molina is the definition of underrated. What an amazing song writer and person he was
Well said.
He had a cult following. Well deserved at that.
I ran into this again, after a couple of years... And gave me chills all over again. Such a beautiful tribute.
yeah man, such a beautiful cut, does the same to me

Very beautiful. And such a sad moment - Jason died much much too young.
Heartachingly wonderful.
OH GOD this is one of the most amazing and beautiful I have ever heard. ~
Just sublime.
