Ólafur Kári Irrelevant. It’s the style/sound and they’re completely different. Comparable to some I guess, but not the same at all. Every great guitarist has a very unique sound that distinguishes them from everyone else. Clapton, Zappa, Robin Trower, Jimmy Page etc. It has nothing to do with covers or someone else playing the same song. It still sounds completely different

Hendrix had a fantastic understanding and respect for "The Blues", but as everything else he really took his own take on it!
I loved it, but "real blues" was never Hendrix.
GCJ is more of a Delta Blues kinda guy and Jimi Hendrix Was a psychedelic blues/funk/rock'n'roll kinda type.....with his "Jimi spice" all over it :-)

This is an awesome cover. Gary is a great guitar player. I saw him in concert before covid hit and he was fucking amazing. But please stop comparing him to Hendrix. Jimi was a one of a kind. Nobody plays like him and nobody ever will.

@@Tasoro666 Same name didn't change name or lyrics except put his own style of instrumentals on it. This version is better you aren't missing anything. Better than Hendrix version as well. Plenty of covers who do it better, but all of that is just a personal preference.
