Thank you so much for this tutorial. Knowing how to do this project will help me with countless others. I really appreciate you and your channel. Thank you!
Julie, I know professional carpenters who don't reinforce a wall as well as you've done with your under stairs closet!! The house is looking beautiful and I can't wait to see the closet finished. Off to Part Two now!
So excited about the under stairs closet - always such a waste of space in dollhouses Live your videos - been watching so long now, I feel like I'm spending the afternoon with a friend! 💗
I'm thinking of doing this and making it into a downstairs loo. At the moment there are two flights of stairs on the one level and a short landing. But people would have to be around 4 foot tall to use them! Crazy, So I am seriously contemplating ripping it all out and just using the one flight of stairs and incorporating the understair cupboard from your tutorial.
I have a closet under my stairs and in addition to my vacuum, mops, etc, I also have plastic bins with Christmas decorations and other boxes... Stuff that I can't store in the attic or garage... Just an idea...
I have been binging all your vids they have been an amazing help ive just started trying my hand at making a dollhouse an minis I just wanted to say thank you so much
It's coming along so nicely, and even though I've seen the photos and know how beautiful it is, it's still a lot of fun watching the whole process. One thing about having a little gap, you've found that wonderful filler that will get into those little gaps and no one will be the wiser. ^_^
I have glue spreaders and 3 different sized spatulas (more as I think I have some tiny ones at the back of my makeup drawer - it's been a while since I have been anywhere requiring makeup so I am not 100 percent sure Lol!) I always end up using my fingers too...it seems you get a better finish if you do.
I LOVE the idea of an under stairs cupboard but my concern is of there being enough headroom to ascend the staircase without knocking your head on the second floor?
Often times when I am unable to see the ruler markings, I use a string ... hold it taught from point to point. Then, just measure your string. I hope this makes sense.
Hi Julie, can I ask what are the dimensions of the house, I have made quite a few of your projects that are currently sitting on my display shelves but I'd love to build the house now. Wonderful tutorial as usual. Thnx
Hi Mik, as this is a question I get asked a lot, I'm going to record a separate video to direct people to, giving all of the measurements, so do watch this space! :)
I'm sorry but I missed the measurements of the pieces of wood used to make the frame and the rest of the cupboard. Could someone please let me know? thanks
Hi Jona, I didn't give measurements for this piece, as your understairs area might not be exactly the same as mine, but I do explain how to measure for the pieces.
Now uh call me silly but wouldn’t this have been easier making the shelf with the stairs out? The angles are there the space is there? I like your work but this all could have been done on your worktop! I realize it’s been two years but someone new trying to make this might have it easier
I did make the shelf with the stairs out. There is no way I could have built the shelves with the stair and cupboard in place, so I'm not sure what you're referring to!

Brilliant, thankyou. I am boxing in under the stairs( not making storage) and couldn't work out how to do it.😊
I’m definitely doing this with my dollhouse
I hope you enjoy building it. :)

I think making it into a loo is a great idea! You could place a large mirror on the visible wall to see further into the room. xx
Very nice. You could put a mirror on the inside of the door to get a peek at some winter clothes and a few boxes in the back of the closet.
That's a thought! Thanks Edwina.

Thanks Shari. Yes, I'm sure I'll be using the filler once everything's glued into place! :)

Fingers do come in handy! I always apply filler with my fingers; it goes on so much easier. :)

Don't worry, building in the cupboard doesn't effect the stair opening, you're just filling in the space beneath. :)
Классно!!!
Огромное спасибо
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Thank you Claudia.

Thanks, that's a very useful tip. :)
