    This is the first, reasonably descriptive review I've seen on TH-cam about the T598. Thank you.

    I race in auto and am loving the shift vibration. Lets me know exactly when to get back on the gas. Now that im getting the settings figured out, I love it.

      Same mate personally I think the base is strong enough but then again I don’t like it too strong I like a smooth experience but reactive which is what this base does

    I run 55% gain on ACC with a G920, primarily to eliminate clipping. But it's also delivered a lighter and more refined FFB, as opposed to the heavy feeling I thought I needed when I played the F1 games.
    I don't get the fascination with insanely high torque wheels that "rip your arms off". Simracing shouldn't be more physically challenging than the real life car!
    Good to hear that the Moza R3 packs a surprising punch as I'm hoping that'll be first DD wheel next year.

      wait till you try a DD base.. i dont run my G pro at full power but having that strength adds to the immersion but also allows you to feel what the car is doing.. in AC1 you can practically drive by FFB alone

    My t300 still going strong. I don't have a super solid rig so this could be an option

    If I still had my t300 this would be a no brainier of an upgrade. But being on a tgt2 I just can’t see how it’s going to be better. I’ll save up for the Logitech I think.

      Im in the samw boat.. Im so dissapointed that incant go for a Direct drive thrustmaster brand its not worth if you already have a tgt2 im saving money too but idk which wheel to get 😢 DD its gonna be i thought about fanatec but i heard alot of bad stuff from the company even now its still 50/50 to get your stuff.

    Five nm is just not enough. I think this is a great idea for the beginner. I love that it works for PS5/PC, but I suspect that one would outgrow this kit very quickly. Thanks for the video!

      No problem! I have the wheel at home now so will be seeing the maximum I can extract from it

      @@Kireth Please test to ensure there isnt a heat up problem. I have now seen 3 TH-camrs use this wheel for several hours and were not able to touch the drive housing with their bare hands.

    Thanks for the video. Now that you have driven a real Ferrari GT3 what FFB strength would you say is real to life?

    • @Kireth
      @Kireth  11 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Great question. The Ferrari in real life certainly didn't have heavy steering. From that experience I'd say any FFB that causes you to tense up is overpowered from a GT perspective

      @Kireth great answer. How important is Force Feedback really, beyond feeling how the car is handling?

    • @Kireth
      @Kireth  11 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      In a real car you "feel" through more than just your hands and arms. However in sim racing that's usually the only way we can feel the car so arguably too much is sent through the wheel

    • @awakeandwatching953
      @awakeandwatching953 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Kireth it would be horrible if all we got was irl forces through the steering rack and a complete waste of the technology.. AC1 has it right by simulating all 4 wheels, the suspensions and the steering rack through the ffb and ACEvo is apparently going to do the same
      GT3 cars do hit 10 plus NMs through the steering at high speeds apparently acording to people like james Baldwin

    Funny, I saw Digit reviewing it today on his livestream. He complained that you can't calibrate pedals, and his brake pedal cracked and broke into pieces within 3 hours of use.

    So I don't know what the wheelbase setting was at the expo, but I found it to be very good when I was there.
    At home, I used the standard recommended settings from TM for GT7 for both GT7 and ACC in both games and you definitely feel more feedback in ACC than in GT7. Of course, it also depends on the vehicle, the sportier and more powerful the car, the more you feel the car.
    The wheelbase update may not have been available at the time of the Expo.

      a simagic mini is not toy.. pro build.. drving a real ferrari or gt car on circuit, u dont fight with the steering , its fair light.. 15nm is unrealistic in that case..
