The budget of this flyover is almost 852crores. Gautam construction company and Anupam Nirman Ltd. is constructing this project.

What a mess they are making out of Guwahati...sigh!
With the construction of this flyover, they have literally killed proposed Metro Rail connectivity between Dighalipukhuri and Narengi forever. Also, a rotary at Chandmari, whoever came up with that....must be some civil engineer who passed out in the 16th century... They just moved the bottleneck from ground level to 6-7 meters above air. Also, in the age of prestressed construction, they are still building those concrete beams with scaffolding. Man!!!

there are internal economics involved with these flyover construction.....i dont think higher people listen to real engineering solutions now a days..

@@birshu1234 yes, let contractors quote 21st century construction rate for pre 18th century construction techniques.....pocket huge margins....and fill back pockets of politicians and PWD officials....who cares...life is short make the most of it. All flyovers being built in Ghy are being built at exorbitant cost....unheard of...and that too with hardly any land acquisition. Just the sheer construction cost of these flyovers that is costing the exchequer is boggling my mind. 100 crores plus for less than a km long flyover, over 250+ crores for 2-3 km flyover...and no this one at 500-600 crores....for a simple flyover...😔
