Thank you, sir. After ridiculously bashing my head on the sidewalk for the first time in my life yesterday doing nothing but slowly rolling, I decided it’s time to get a helmet. Avoided it for years but this is just the helpful review I needed to pull the trigger. ✌️

@@poisonclarinet I’m happy to hear you found it useful and that you’re doing the right thing. We only get one skull 💀 😉👊🏼

I usually roll a bandana up and tie around my head just below my helmet or hat when I’m skating

Makes sense, I’ve never actually owned a bandana (not my kinda thing) but I think it’ll be basically the same result as the DIY sweat saver strip I made for my Protec.

I use this helmet XL, works well, nice and snug and the sweat bands work for me. Like you I 'squeeze the juice' every now and then but I don't think there's a better solution. I bought extra pad / sweat inserts so I can swap them out and wash them. I sweat a lot for a fat bloke! lol

Cool 👍🏻 I did actually make something that worked better for my ProTec which was a very tightly wrapped piece of towel stitched together and Velcro strip added to fix it in place, because it was tightly wrapped it didn’t soak up the sweat and hold it, it just diverted everything to run back behind my ears and neck so I didn’t have to squeeze it out.
It worked on the ProTec because the padding isn’t thick but I don’t think it would work on the Triple 8.
