      @@prithvireddy6318 tat car is known for best performance in its class and precise handling back in 2009. Ofc its only 68 bhp, but it has a perfect gear ratio for optimum acceleration and fuel efficiency. Ur engine may be big in numbers but the gearbox is the one deciding the final hp and torque being supplied to the wheels. Too bad skoda didn't have its turbos spool up as early as 1250 rpm which is why this car jumps right from idling and pushes driver to the seat. Ever had ur skoda wheelspin while shifting from 4th to 5th gear? Well my Ikon does...thats the torque im talking about, not what the chart says. I can keep going bruh, but it's a waste of time arguing to someone who clearly haven't driven this car. So come find me when u finally understand that u dont judge a book by it's cover...!

      I don't know anything about that Ford, but a 1.6 tdi rapid is anything but rapid. Have driven one since 2014 and wish I'd bought a Polo with a smaller engine.
      The Polo handles like a dream and just has great build quality.

    • @azharmahmood2868
      @azharmahmood2868 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@michaellavery4899 the latest generations of polo, vento and rapid all have smaller petrol engines (1L TSI). The problem with that is, the engine just doesn't provide enough low end torque (below 2500rpm) optimum for city driving. U have to rev the engine to high rpm to achieve the needed acceleration at the cost of efficiency. Its only a myth that smaller engines are more efficient but in reality, bigger engines provide enough acceleration at the required rpm range so that u don't have to rev the engine that often. Diesel engines are always a better choice in terms of power and efficiency. Sadly vw and skoda discontinued all diesel varients.

      140-145 BHP is generally what you get in Stage 1 remap. Yesterday I was speaking to a remapper, he mentioned 23% torque increase. By this calculation, the new torque would be 307.5
      I feel there is no need to go for any upgrade for Skoda cars (earlier ones). Rapid has/had 250 Nm, Laura 320 Nm. These are insane. Laura can push you seriously back to your seat with DSG and 320 Nm. At best you can go for Stage 1 as it does not mandate any hardware upgrade. Your existing setup should be good enough, though tyres should be the priority. I use 205/55/15 tyres for my 2013 Rapid.
