Awesome videos. My granddaughter just asked me to make her a homecoming mum and I had no idea what she was talking about. I promised her I would look on youtube and I found you. Can you please let me know where to find the trinkets. She is a freshman at a brand new school this year and I would really like to try to make a mum for her. Also is the ribbon just sating ribbon? Any info you can share would be greatly appreciated. You do beautiful work. Thank you so much for any info you can share.
Thank you so much Connie. I love that name by the way, lol. So it’s a lot to start from not knowing what a mum is to completing one. I would suggest you start with the basics. I’m going to link a video walking through a very basic fall mum tutorial. If you’re only making one than your best bet is to go to Hobby lobby, and Michaels. You don’t want to go to a wholesale place because you will have way too much. It’s going to cost you a bit to get everything you need. The ribbon we use is called acetate. We also combine it with satin and regular ribbon. I hope this response, and the video that I’m linking will help you. If not, please feel free to ask more questions. Where do you purchase your ribbon from?
Multiple places, hobby lobby, Michaels, dollar tree, Walmart, Amazon, The Sale Place, the ribbon source, Arnies, Southern Floral Co, Monster Spirit,
How do you measure the mums sizes? By braids/ribbons length or by all of the entire mum put together?
I measure by the ribbon length and the number of flowers
