When you make the backer, how far apart are the two top circles? It's difficult to put the circles together and get the right shape/size without a template. This video has been so helpful!
Just double checking - on this mum you used 7" rounds for the circle backers, 7.5" flowers for both the full flowers and pedals you folded to add in and make the heart? I already have a request for a heart mum. This was a fantastic tutorial! Thank you for sharing.
Just found your channel so greatful I just make them for my girls I love making the braids and all the fun details but building them so they hold all the weight has eluded me.
Yes, you can use any size you want. You may just have to adjust where you put the pipe cleaner. You can do that by placing your skirt strip across the back of your finished backer to see where it best fits (goes all the way across). Let us know if we can help.
@@kayleeturner7643 you can use those no problem and use the same method - we just buy our 7” rounds in bulk so we make our own plus we can size it how big we want it to be.
But how far apart are each circle from the center of each other cuz I see ur 4in mark is above the center and I'm making it and my 4in mark is right on the center of the circle
@@davidgomez-vk7gt it will vary based on your size backer. The important thing is the pipe-cleaners are as high as your skirt strip will be when you attach the skirt to the crown. Let us know if you have any other questions

What can we use instead of the brown circle paper for the backer
Would these measurements work for a garter as well? Or would you size down? If so, what would you go with?
Great video btw. Thanks.
