Good morning neenee and brother, my name shao vang from st.paul.mn 🇺🇸. I appreciated your trip to my family in ban pha sang. Vientiane, laos. Thanks your kindness for bringing clothes to the children. Thanks again. Shao vang from USA.
Actually, I would like to thank you Shao Vang for getting in contact with us and guiding us to this family. We had a wonderful time there, and the scenery.. absolutely stunning!
Ping was very shy so couldn't get him to say much.. sorry 😉
Beautiful friendly people, thank you.
Take care 🙏

Great video and spectacular drone footage! Laos is so beautiful. 😊
Beautiful Riverside resort with tasty breakfast. A heartly talk of two wives. That is cool man.
Todd, your skills as a videographer continues to amaze. The landscapes, The People, The markets. All so good. The Hmong People have endured. Your efforts to connect with them is so precious.
Don't ever stop. Well Done Mate ! Be Well! Stay Healthy ! 🙏🙏 Jim and Harriet. Richmond, Va.
Mate its Bathurst this weekend and we have the same amount of rain you are having , We are in for a few good bingles I reckon , That was a great video one of your best , two wives no thanks it took me 35 years to get rid of one haaa
Hahaha can always count on you Gordo for a laugh 👍
Yes.. Bathurst will be very interesting this year 😁
Amazing first wife how lucky is that Hmong man👍
Hey Todd and Neenee. I agree about the rain. I love rainy days, unless I'm on the Suzuki. Nice to see the B&W stills again Todd.
Impressive episode! .... And two wives and 12 children!
Impressive man 😁
@6:13 Wow, The drone footage here is just breath taking! I need to visit my country one day. Laos is just beautiful!
Yes you do Peter. Be warned.. it'll be very hard to leave once you're here 😉
@@NowinLao Haha Fo shoo!! The music goes perfect with the drone footage too. Trancy music i like 😄
I love the work that you do Todd. Most of these families live in isolated areas so there is no one who can go see them and help them out with bare necessities.
Thanks for the support Ne 🙏
Wow! You don't find many understanding women like that around. He's a very lucky man. Cheers mate!!!
No. You certainly don't mate.
Hope ya doing well mate 🙏
Why can't the rest of the world get along like that family does .. amazing
What a wonderful world it would be...
You can bet they have some barney's like everyone else especially with 12 kids 😁
@@kateg1137 hmmm.. imagine two wives on ya case 😏😝
@@kateg1137 imagine feeding 12 upbringings and paying for college tuition fees in North America. I need Elon Musk level of wealth for that LOL
@@timwynn6079 If everyone pitches in as a real family should -- then excessive millionaire wealth isn't necessary, would be more helpful but certainly not necessary.
As he said in the video while talking to the polygynous husband -- having a well rounded *solid* house and being responsible to take care of wives is a must.
Polygyny is a lot more common than you would think, even in the west, it is just not publicly seen, I should know all of my wives agreed to it, some even without me asking.
Notice I mentioned *'wives',* not baby mamas or girlfriends.
One of my wives lives in Savannakhet and she also reminisced about her father who would talk to her about days of old and having large families.
Lovely video. Well crafted and nice overview with the addition to the drone. I’m assuming… 😊
Thank you
Thanks brother Todd and nee nee, followed you everywhere.
Awesome! The drone footage is spectacular too! 🇱🇦
Beautiful video start to finish. Thanks Todd and Neenee 🙂
the B/W Snaps at the end with the music sets your video off on a good note compared to others ... another TOP job mate keep it up
Howdy from the US. A long time subscriber and been enjoying all your videos. Beautiful drone shots! Keep those drone shots coming!👍
Thank you! If you like drone shots.. hang around for Sundays video ( hmm Sat night for you guys 😉) You'll love it! 😋👍
@@NowinLao Thanks! Can’t wait!
Wishful list: If possible, can you post some 4K videos (both drone & regular videos)? I would love to see all those beautiful places in 4K.
Absolutely brilliant video, as always, mate. The photo of NeeNee looking out of the window is priceless. Stay safe and healthy always. Thanks again for sharing.
My brother had a friend whos dad has 7 wives.
Thank You ! To you and Nee Nee. I am coming to Lao in 3 months. Luang Prabang, Nam Bak (visiting GF family a little bit North of there) and Vientiane. So, whilst I have been subscribed and watching you for maybe 18 months it is very special now! I have visited Hmong and Zhao people in Vietnam several times - and these people in this area seem quite affluent in relative terms to what I have experienced? Keep up the great content !
Another great video guys, what pretty landscape , those black and white photos are just the best images, thanks for sharing, cheers from Australia.
Thanks Scotty 😁👍
Stunning Drone footage ... a good job , see you at the Academy Awards !!
What a beautiful people and country! I have several Hmong friends here in California!
Neenee ia just as beautiful when she wakes up in the morning.🥰🥰🥰
Good on you Todd we like your film
the story just keeps getting better and better.
Another great video...thank you for always giving
Great outro Todd! I really love the photo montages set to music. The first family on the tractor vehicle is National Geographic material a great shot. Nene is a gem, although I'm not sure if she'd be keen on the mia noi situation, she wondered why you were asking so many questions about it........ lol
Thanks Michael.
Lol.. in my defense, I was only asking questions I knew you guys would want answers to 😉😝
Nah, she's all good mate. Neenee's a gem 👌
What a blessed man to have multiple wives! 🙏🏻
Another great video with cultural insights. Love the black and white pictures at the end. Thank you.
Awesome; As a Hmong American born in the US in the late 70s and who's never been to my parents homeland to visit, it's a welcome sight to see. Would love to visit someday. Good stuff there. Respect! And subscribed. ✌️
Thanks Harry 😁👍
Hello I liked the video found it very interesting and the black and white photos 👍
A beautiful and simple life. They are the lucky ones.
Wow... this village is beautiful view to the mountain side huh!
Dominating Hmong Male but my Grandfather had 3 wives that he loves very much. Hes not here anymore and my 1st grandmother(My father's mother) isn't either. I have 2 grandmother's left. 1 has 8 kids and 1 can't have kids.
Seeing your question on the plain bowl of water, the answer is this: In a traditional Hmong meal there's always a bowl of plain boiled vegetable (winter squash, beans, peas, etc...) served with the water it was boiled in. This is used as a palate cleanser as you eat. You and NeeNee only got plain water because they probably didn't have anything readily available to boil for this palate cleanser dish. Even Hmong people here in the U.S. still serve this plain dish at the table, but they serve it in each individual's cup/glass.
Rice and water hmong traditional food

28:55 Todd, they are acknowledging your “Hello” greeting by giving an expression that is similar to “yes”.
Wow man, your photography skills are fantastic, you’ve got quite a talent. Mee Mee is very beautiful, the camera sure likes her.
It’s such a beautiful sceneries
hmong men love women alot they like spend time with there wives every day
Wow - the stills at the end are great 👍
Todd, I truly enjoy watching your videos even if it's something simple. Thanks for sharing your adventures and especially helping out the Hmong community there in Laos. I plan to do what you're doing in Laos when the time is right, but keep up the good work. It's very common for Hmong men to marry 2 or more wives as long as they can afford to. A lot of men do it because they can whether they can afford to or not. Hmong women traditionally don't have a say and it's been a practice for centuries. Even the Hmong men in the US today still marry multiple wives. Of course that's double trouble, but if they can manage it, it still happens. You mentioned that you often get the response "Aw" when you said Nyob Zoo (Hello) to Hmong people. "Aw" just means "OK". Just an acknowledgement.
1 of your best videos i love it thanks Mate
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you
Really enjoyed this one.
Thanks Dave 👍
Todd, I always love taking my breafasses near the river when backpacking in Laos.
Another interesting and informative video - happy people - living simply - Thanks T 👌🙏
This was a wonderful story😀😀
Interesting story . Kenno
Very touching story. Good job.
Wow the town was beyond beautiful!
I will move to Laos in the future so I can marry 3 wives (not just 2). 😂😂
Btw I started watching you in TH-cam today on my husband’s Firestick acct! You have educational vids to share to learn about a different culture!
Thanks Arleen 😋
What a lovely family! Double the fun with so many precious children! Gorgeous footage of the karst, villages and love the black and white photography! Gallery worthy👍
Hello TODD and NEYNEY,What a beautiful video that reveals to us what life is, and that makes us stop complaining about our fate, we.....poor Westerners.💕
Glad you two ate at Hmong house
Wish I could go there one day.
😍😍😍 2 wives 👍👍👍
I really enjoy your video. You have the best life. That's my goal, to retire, travel and enjoy life to the fullest. I would love to visit Laos, we left Laos in 1976.
Beautiful place.
Beautiful stills at the end ❤
I love the mountain villages 👍🙂
Lucky man 🤗
What beautiful country. It reminds me of monument valley in the USA before it was a desert.
Not much for me to say that has not already been said about this one. The B&W photos with the music are something I do enjoy. I'm thinking those kids should be introduced to the game of cornhole or some horseshoes that'll keep'em busy for hours on end. A beautiful family.👍🙏
Come to America some Hmong men have 3 wives! 😂😂😂
Quit snitching
Quit bitchin
Todd her T-shirt said free the bears, by your eyes you were thinking of freeing her bareness.🤣🤣😂😂
Hmong people choose to live in the highest mountains because they can have clean water, stay cool, and avoid the flood. Hmong drinks water straight from the stream, no boil no filter.
Nice video and great job on covering this topic as the east is opening up more and more and western society is getting more exposure to the east than ever before. Polygamy is still pretty common in asia especially in the rural areas where material and resources depends on everybody thriving and working together collectively just to get by 🙏🙏🙏
Such a different philosophy of life and they are all happy. That's all that matters.
This is so interesting. Thank you for taking us around and learn about how different lao people/ tribes think. How they see the world and how they live their lifes. It is my biggest dream now (since my wife is from Savannakhet) is to retire in Laos in the future. But until then, I have you to teach me about their cultures, wich I find extremely fascinating. Love your channel :)
I have no doubts you'll enjoy it as much as I do when your time comes. Glad you're enjoying the videos and getting something from them.
Thanks for watching and commenting. Take care
Lovely people and country. I would like to visit there some day. Question, is there a mosquitoe problem?
I wouldn't say a problem.. no more than any other SEAsian country 👍
You ask the question that intrigues us all. I'm told I need to be able to provide a second house to begin with.
It's nice to see a westerner take an interest in Hmong people. It's crazy how polygamy is so engrained into the Hmong culture and identity.
I'm surprised you can handle the humidity. The dense jungles of Laos can be merciless. Nice video btw! I enjoyed it!
May b u interested of Asia buddy.🤩🤩🤩🤩
Well Todd ol mate you have exceeded yourself once again. A bloody good insight into Lao daily life and the scenery is freaking amazing. The other joint you stayed at was my first point of call but again you have changed my mind mate. What a bloody good setup. And ol mate with the two big girls well what a bull he is throwing 6 boys and 6 six girls. I take my hat off to him.
Yeah I know ay.. bloody good strike rate with 6 of each 👌
Absolutely stunning area mate, you won't go wrong no matter where you choose 👌😁
@@NowinLao Well ol mate is top notch quality bull.
It's known and OK in the hmong tradition to marry more than 1 wife. As long as u can afford and as long as the rest of the wives are OK, u can have as many as they are ok with.....
Todd, you need to ask NeeNee if you could marry another wife.
Who is the singer of "Smile" at 3:47 ???
