Well Craig Charles summed it up in his poem at the end we'd seen a lot of robots with vertical circular saws but X-Terminator was indeed the daddy the BIG daddy of them all
I would have agreed in heat a but for some reason Middlemiss has grown on me by this heat,, I do like her enthusiasm here and shes more my type looks wise.. nice little body and feminine.
Great show thanks so much for this :D That little Tsunami has a power flipper! Killer Carrot's flipper didn't work worth a darn :( Adam and his "hopefully" was so cute.
Major Tom and Diabolus (as Kliptonite) met in Series 5, shame that neither of them get any chance to show off their new machines before coming up against two terrifying machines this series. While I would have liked to see how well Major Tom 3 would do, not impressed with how easily Diabolus' weapon came off - that would probably have shattered itself given time. Ah well, you get into the hall of fame as the second half of the fastest double KO in Robot Wars history. (I think so anyway, was there a more recent one?) Fluffy 'needs to shake off a fluffy exterior from last wars'... uh, sorry Jonathan, what? Fluffy's one of the better glass cannon spinners of this era, nobody wants to be in the arena with this thing. Especially not something as ludicrously useless as Scarey-Go-Round. I think it says more to how underwhelming Killer Carrot 2 and Constrictor were that they all survived to the end of the fight, technically. A decent flipper would have thrown SGR right over and probably done something worthwhile to Fluffy, but the kids' machines can only annoy, really. Shame. The Axe Attack featuring... uh... two flippers. Hmm. You can tell these were whiteboard matches by how completely not-seriously they took this little match, and it makes fantastic watching. The teams obviously respect one another, and perhaps don't respect Mentorn, and that's what results in silliness like taking on the House Robots. Hydra was probably the worthiest winner but in a match like this it's clear that's not the intention of any of the drivers. Did the camera stop working at 23:10 though? Seems odd to cut to a display of a TV showing Craig... 'Hey, Dominic Rott! All the way back from Series 2 as Rottweiler - if you haven't watched the 'behind the scenes' videos for Heat I of the Second Wars (King B's heat) see if you can track it down - it's adorable how little Dom is so thrilled to be through the Gauntlet. Grown up now with a machine that doesn't impress at first, looking sluggish coming out of the arena. That said, Tusami' (this is probably your worst offence, Stuart) is so utterly above Constrictor's league it's barely funny. There's literally nothing to say about this fight. This is a flipper domination at it's finest. There's not a huge amount I can say about the heat final that hasn't been said a hundred times. This has gone up several times on your channel as one of your favourite fights of all time, and while it's good, I think it's a tale of hubris and luck more than actual skill on the part of Marlon Pritchard to turn it around. The best fights are where both robots give it hammer and tongs until the end - this was merely X-T waiting for Tsunami to blow their load early, before mopping up. Aftershock vs Eruption is a version of how this fight goes a little better in a way, I think, and you can understand the bitter disappointment on the German team. The best performing German team in UK Robot Wars to date, though I wouldn't mind seeing Luzifer come for a crack at that title in the new series at some point.
Biggest WHAT IF in Robot Wars history it was in the top 100 robot countdown going on if only Tsunami had left X-Terminator alone but you can't take anything away from X-Terminator that robot improved massively from previous series dropping the Axe and going with a spinner was very prudent move indeed
Not a competitor, certainly. Matilda did it a few times but it was the first time a competing robot managed it. Edit: well, in the UK Championships anyway.
If this wasn't the last season of the original series, I'd really want to see the arena walls heightened. At least 50% taller would be good, way too many OotA's. Still having fun though
Overconfident,, id have personally left it because that spinning disc was lethal. Youd always try to get bots like firestorm out because they dont have the destructive weapon.
I have a perfect idea for a bot but I am not savvy enough to build one let alone afford the one I have an idea for. but if that dream ever came true I'd probably have one of the fiercest bots around that even the pulsar team would get a bit nervous. I can only dream though
Just made that comment myself. It was literally copied by other engeneers but obviously massively improved upon. Its weird that Fluffy and Supernova would become the blue prints but during this period they were dreadful in terms of reliability. I think these teams (fluffy supernova) knew they had the right ideas but couldnt perfect their bots,, or at the time the parts werent available to make them reliable.
the reason Robot wars is better than Battlebots. Battlebots---80% of the time is just them fucking talking. Robot wars------talk talk robot mayhem!!!!!
Thats not a problem with BattleBots. They give you information on the bots and teams. Its to build up hype for the fights. Robot Wars does that same thing.
Not sure about that one. From Extreme 1 onwards, Refbot/the House Robots tended to help down any robot that was stranded on the side wall. I suspect the Tsunami team were aware of this, hence why they went for the OOTA
Tsunami never should have risked trying to flip X-Terminator out of the arena once it was already immobilised. They would have won otherwise...
Tsunami let itself down when it couldn't flip X terminator out of the arena!. From Joe. X
I think X-Terminator and Tsunami would make a great Tag Team if that group battle showed.
That woulda been awesome.
Great sportsmanship from all the teams. Well done everyone.
Tsunami and X-Terminator were both awesome bots
Would of made an excellent tag team!
Well Craig Charles summed it up in his poem at the end we'd seen a lot of robots with vertical circular saws but X-Terminator was indeed the daddy the BIG daddy of them all
This last iteration of X-Terminator was a proper exterminator.
The Floor-sprung Lurch Technique?! That has to be one of JP's top ten puns ever.
Tsunami was 2nd in the German wars. From Joe. X
I love robot wars
vincent marandola has always
I miss Phillipa
In the corset

Yeah me too, but I like Jayne's outfit too.
36:55 Those poor Terrorhurtz fans in the audience.
One of the best heat finals
i like the kid of the killer carrot, no pretention, straight facts. Kids have been often lovely here
Adam Englebright was his name. From Joe. X

Poor Tigger is getting barbecued as he is at the top of Scarey Go Round, "Tiggers don't like fire"
Xterminator , Muller everything yes indeed 👍
Don't think I've ever seen a robot flipped out of the arena by a spinner before.
Not a competitor, certainly. Matilda did it a few times but it was the first time a competing robot managed it.
Edit: well, in the UK Championships anyway.
Cyclone did it twice in Robot Wars: Extreme Warriors Season 2 Annihilator. First to Thor's Hammer and then to Hyperactive.
@@carribob1992 I hadn’t seen that at the time.
This was the first episode that got me into robot wars
Imagine Dominator 2 in the Axe Attack
If this wasn't the last season of the original series, I'd really want to see the arena walls heightened. At least 50% taller would be good, way too many OotA's. Still having fun though
I think the reboot series had it right. Only certain parts are open for flipping.
Tsunami, good flipper but in the end got complacent and then got mullered.
Overconfident,, id have personally left it because that spinning disc was lethal. Youd always try to get bots like firestorm out because they dont have the destructive weapon.
Damn, you're powering through these. Thanks!
It was so weird to hear the announcer not know how to pronounce tsunami...
Yeah...Tusami.
Yeah that announcer is dodgy on the names
@Morse Dantoemakeea
If Dominator 2 was still competing they would’ve been in axe attack
I have a perfect idea for a bot but I am not savvy enough to build one let alone afford the one I have an idea for. but if that dream ever came true I'd probably have one of the fiercest bots around that even the pulsar team would get a bit nervous. I can only dream though
I don't even remember what my idea was from 5 years ago lmfao who knows at this point it's been a looong time lmfao @StarSoupMan
X-Terminator was first in from series 3
He will always be lister from red dwarf to me. Keep waiting for rimmer to come out or hear him say smeg head.
Fluffy was ahead of it's time, shame it went out so early
So far ahead it didn't even work half the time...

Team Constrictor, from Torquay? They missed a trick there, then. They should have named it the Torquay Toaster!
Nice that Andrew Leadbeater had a last hurrah having a go at Shunt. So badass.
the reason Robot wars is better than Battlebots. Battlebots---80% of the time is just them fucking talking. Robot wars------talk talk robot mayhem!!!!!
Thats not a problem with BattleBots. They give you information on the bots and teams. Its to build up hype for the fights. Robot Wars does that same thing.
The drivers of Tsunami are idiots, they should've left Xterminator on it's head and get him counted out for the win
Not sure about that one. From Extreme 1 onwards, Refbot/the House Robots tended to help down any robot that was stranded on the side wall. I suspect the Tsunami team were aware of this, hence why they went for the OOTA
Is ok to have 3 axes, but God forbids flippers. Thanks alot, Thermidor 2, Chaos 2, and Bigger Brother
Take two, without Bob the Builder this time...
Nothing he can fix in this heat 😂😂
FhxydhdkgkfbhdgfZhdx
Video quality its like from 2001 but the robots fight its from 3017
The ref bot wanted revenge for shunt
Ironically Fluffy would become the blueprint for future designs and weaponry. Pity theyre bot in the two series had dreadful reliability.
7:15 "Look at the power here, of the German flipper, how high that went."
Oh Jonathan, wait until you see Gravity.
The FIB he already has, Gravity was in Heat D.
Wheelie Big Cheese: "Am I a joke to you?"
I've been watching these, great fun, but the crowd is the same in every one! (or am I going mad?)
good vidéo!
16:26 the axe attack principles
X-Terminator was 4th in robot wars series 7. From Joe. X
He upgraded his weapon. From Joe. X
lol, that kid in the thumbnail
X terminator has competed since the 3rd war
Tsunami versus tornado
a new weep ON :x nice robot kinda like chaos new or chaos blue reminds me of and is pretty much a better version of this flipper type
The pronunciation of 'tsunami' is horrific on this. JP is the only one who knows to say 'Sue-Narmy'
Tsunami was 2nd in the only German wars in GB. From Joe. X
Do team Diabolus think that the Firestorm colour scheme is going to help them?
Sorry what drugs are you on to make you that colourblind
Wasn't X-Terminator in Series 3?
Tsunami could have beat exterminator if he would have just left him alone when he was done
5:42
When was this filmed?
2003.
Armyboy89 yep Summer 2003 if i recall, I went to one of filming days when I was 6 😂😂
Hard to believe the original runs were about 20 years ago.
What i hate from this video, yup the youtube caption, its horrible, but its funny
f
Tsunami were far too overconfident in the final match. They had X-terminator beaten yet tried to put them OOTA and that cost them
Tsunami went out instead!. From Joe. X
