Man lots of Mary Spender videos! (although not that I'm complaining, she has a lovely voice and seems like a really interesting person!) Never even heard of her before seeing her at Andertons but now a fan!
Couple of years ago I went to Andertons for an affordable strat and came away with a US Elite like that except mine was a Ltd edition with flame maple top in sunburst with a flame maple neck. I didn't try any custom shops but otherwise, for me, this was far and away the nicest guitar for my money. As always, great to have a choice and good to see and hear Mary use the guitar in a song.
I've been watching Lee here for a few years now. His playing has come so far! Really loved seeing him play in a full song vs just jamming. Really great stuff and I'm a Mary fan as well.
Constable 1976 I like all of the blues, but to pick a favorite, I'd probably say lake placid blue. Although I have one in that color so I may be slightly biased lol
Randy Putterbaugh I have Daphne Blue on my MIM 50's Classic Series and I am close to ordering a MOD Shop in Daphne Blue (with a pickup swap), so I am extremely biased torwards that particular hue. Surf Green is a close second (57 AVRI in Surf Green). I like Lake Placid Blue, but I don't have an unhealthy obsession like I do with DB...

Okay, so. . . because I've managed to watch literally everything on the Anderton's channel from around the end of 2018 when I bought my first guitar up until now I've started digging up videos from the beginning of Anderton's TV and I had no idea that Mary was a presenter for a time. I now have a mission! 👍
I found this channel by accident and it has been genuinely pleasing to see the growth over the years by Capt Lee as both an interviewer and as a guitar player. Great channel. Now I just have to actually LEARN how to play a guitar. On second thought, maybe I shouldn't ... I would want to buy too many expensive guitars!

I have played guitar for 30 years and have never owned a Fender Strat, but I have been really thinking about getting one of these Elite Strats.
