Here's an interesting tidbit though: in the main line Mario games and a fair deal of spinoffs King Boo is just a regular Boo (although a bit larger) with a crown. But in Luigi's Mansion he's got the creepy eyes, the teeth, the imposing crown and all that stuff. Why? Because Luigi is terrified of ghosts and that's how he sees King Boo.
+Beriorn Or because the real King Boo is still in Bowsers body and all the other "King Boos" are really just larger Boos who wear the crown to tricking everybody, so that nobody notice that Bowser is still possessed by the real King Boo
I agree the real king boo could be somewhere else while the fake is taking over for him little boos could have possessed dry bones while the fake king boo is taking over dry bowser
Wow, this blew my mind :O Especially that mention of why Dry Bones are only temporarily knocked out! If I had to assume how the Mario timeline works, I'd place the U.S. Mario 2 at the end. Bowser is nowhere to be seen, and Mario can finally dream of a world where him and his friends can adventure together, taking on NEW challenges
ConnerTheWaffle if king boo can be kicked out and bowser returned to his body wouldn't it make more sence for bowzer to act as a sort of minion for king boo in exhange bowzer can be reserected every time he dies
Well, actually, maybe the supernova caused Luigi to enter some sort of purgatory until the universe reset at the very end of Galaxy 1. So King Boo took the chance to try to possess Bowser and capture Mario in the spirit world.
Kevin Hanson Umm... I barely watch chuggaconroy. They probably wanted both Mario Bros. because they both have messes around. In Super Mario Galaxy, you can play the entire thing again as Luigi. That would explain it.
But didn't Bowser appear at the end of Mario Galaxy after he was "killed"? It was that whole universal reset thing, wasn't it? Sorry, been awhile since I played that game.
The Theory surronding that is that it's a "seperate universe" that's why you see all the Mario enemies and the good guys in the same place as "allys", and that would also explain why Mario and Bowser go kart but in another univers they're rivals. Hopefully tht answerd it :)
Squid Fish Actually, according to Miyamoto, the entire Mario crew is more like a "group of actors, or a family". The actors part seems pretty reasonable when you remember that Mario 3 had a lot of hints that it was all just a play.
The boo never ask Mario to leave or put up a sign outside of their run down mansion to let people know that the place is private property. Mario is just walking through so he can save Princess Peach as quickly as possible. The boo then try to murder the plumber by touching him. Also he doesn't wreck their house he just makes his way through it. Sure he takes some gold coins but the boos did leave them out in the open. Besides the gold coins are everywhere in the Mushroom Kingdom, so Mario picking them up is the equivalent of finding coins on the side walk.
Ryan Dooley What If I am late for work or something? I need to get their fast but you don’t see me going through everyone’s houses. And most houses don’t have signs saying it’s private property because it’s common sense, And they didn’t leave their gold coins out in the open, they left it inside their house, Which Mario shouldn’t be entering because it’s their house.
In Super Mario World there is a level called sunken ghost ship, which is of course a wrecked ship from Super Mario Bros 3. and its filled with boos, this means that Bowser´s minions turn into boos when they die, (Others turn into dry bones for some reason or maybe dry bones are just possessed corpses) If Bowser is the king of the koopas and koopas turn into boos when they die that means Bowser and King Boo might be one and the same.
BladeFire30 Gaming Well the king boo from Super Princess Peach, Mario Kart Double Dash, Mario Superstar baseball so on and so forth looks different than the one in both Luigi´s Mansion games, (Different crow design, purple eyes and a blue tongue) perhaps its a different Boo.
My theory is that either Bowser was revived over and over (Maybe by Kamek) or King Boo defeated for good in ...Luigi´s Mansion 3? (Make it happen on your next system Nintendo C:) Because either scenario would leave the boos without a leader, Even if normal boos would still serve Bowser many of Bowser´s factions have a leader, Like King Bob Omb, Petey Pirahna or Goomboss and maybe the boos selected one of their kind to be the new King Boo. And that is the King Boo from all the different Spin-offs.
ArmaBiologica35 I have to say your reasoning for the "real" king boo is a bit flawed. I mean a crown? people in the Mario universe DO change clothes, and the eyes? You know who's eye colour has changed throughout the years? Mario's I'm not saying you're completely wrong. Your logic just needs a bit of buffing.
Demone What about the tongue color? A different forehead? And the fact that Nintendo decided to use the same desing of King Boo from Luigi´s Mansion in Luigis Mansion Dark Moon even if the new design for King Boo has been pretty much established by many other spin-offs? Why even change his design in the first place but not the design of other characters like Petey Pirahna? And before someone says that Nintendo wanted to pay homage to the artstyle of the original Luigi´s Mansion by giving King Boo his old design then Why did they changed the design of the normal ghosts in Luigis Mansion Dark Moon?
Theodore Beakmann mario is inspired by popeye where its the same characters just in different settings. i think a mario timeline is stupid tho i do kinda like the idea of the "one game" theory
Theodore Beakmann Because it's fun. Granted, I also think it's silly to try to think of a "serious" timeline when there not suppose to be one, but it's fun to over think things and come up with connections, even if its stretching things.
Theodore Beakmann Some people find they enjoy media more if they can understand it entirely; making a timeline for a universe with disparate events is a common way to make sense of it.
Theodore Beakmann because the only reason they want to know is Mario fan boys don't see the type 5 diabetic itilian guy that people like because they grew up with and only for that reason. No offense Mario fans, but OPEN YOUR EYES!!!!!
I think the king boo from Luigi's mansion is a different king boo than the one that's appeared in other games because that would explain how bowser(king boo) and the other king boo can exist at the same time. Such as how both of them are present in games like Mario kart wii and super princess peach.
But the big question Arises. How come did King boo in Luigis mansion say that Mario caused him so much trouble in the past? How did Mario cause him Trouble when he never even faced him once.
Ryan Bush so King Boo from Luigi's Mansion 1 and 2 are the same but in other games it's a different King Boo because they look different I think I get it
Mabe after King Boo revived Bowser they became one , meaning both Bower and King Boo's souls control the body, Like fusions in Steven Universe.does that make sense?
I like to think that, when dealing with Dry Browser, Browser's spirit simply refuses to leave his body. He's on the thin line between life and death, and he simply refuses to die.
Bowser is by far my favourite Mario character, Geno is obviously 2nd. Bowser isn't ALL bad, he helps Mario on occasions and honestly, the mushroom kingdom actually belonged to the Goomba's, who joined Bowsers army in hopes of regaining their land, Bowser tries to rule the mushroom kingdom, to most likely give the land back to the goomba's. Bowser is just completely awesome, and I wish there was a full length 3D game that lets you BE Bowser in 3rd person view, I like Bowser's inside story just because I could play as Bowser and use all of his abilities, like breathing fire. But what about a 3D game where you could do all of that, except this time Bowser is saving Mushroom Kingdom, and Mario, and Luigi because they've both been captured? We all know Bowser secretly wants Mario to show up and battle with him, it's his favourite pass-time, he longs for the day he could defeat Mario, but what if instead of Mario coming to him, Bowser goes to Mario and saves him for once, and finally gets the recognition he deserves? Finally feeling like he beat Mario at his own game of being the hero, Bowser would change of course and live peacefully in the mushroom kingdom, it would be a nice sequel, but who likes those? Bowser, Mario and Luigi could team up in an entire series to fight off 1 dangerous threat, like they've done in the past, Bowser being the main protagonist, hell we could even call the game "Super Bowser Land" they did it with Peach, why not Bowser? Yoshi? Why not Bowser? Bowser is always the enemy and that gets boring, Nintendo needs to switch it up a little and make Bowser the hero for once, and not just doing it for his own selfish needs like in Bowser's Inside Story. Anyone else think there should be a full length Bowser game series?
Let's be honest here. How could, at the center of a _supernova,_ Bowser's corpse survive to be possessed? Not even the skeleton would survive such temperatures and energy. This is an interesting theory, but honestly, the holes are too large to make it viable in my eyes.
Well, the original theory was pretty flawed, so him just adding some extra input wouldn't do much. But hey, it's just a- *slaps myself* Not gonna say it.
Cyros Ignika Let us not forget that Bowser is there AFTER the universe resets in Mario Galaxy. If he still exists at that point, then King Boo and Bowser will have been separated, as the universe was made new, like a refresher.
Zelda Prime then then their is the fact that at the end of the first Mario galaxy game Mario said welcome new galaxy witch hints that their where no resets but some people seems to ferget that part
I remember this on “Super Mario 3d Land” where Bowser flied to the next world, but I noticed he had nothing like the Tanooki suit or the propeller suit, nothing he flied to the next world
I don't like this theory that much. It's way too common and there are a few holes: 1. Bowser has a VERY different personality to King Boo. 2. Paper Mario is in an entirely different universe to regular Mario (This is confirmed in Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam.). 3. About the Supernova and Black Hole, in Galaxy, Rosalina brings everyone back to life as seen before or after the credits (I can't remember.). In Galaxy 2, Bowser is seen in the end credits (tiny for some reason but whatever.) 4. About Dry Bowser, it is Mario and anyway, Dry Bowser is definitely a character different to Bowser (At least most of the time.). In Paper Jam (SPOILERS BY THE WAY!) You fight Dry Bowser in the battle ring yet Bowser is 100% still alive at that time since there is no post game content or anything like that in the Mario & Luigi games. (While the battle ring in all the Mario & Luigi games it's in is only a simulator that doesn't mean that Dry Bowser is just a figment of the creator of those machines imagination. I mean, seriously, how on earth is this creator supposed to know which characters you've fought and which ones you haven't?!) It may be that Dry Bowser is simply another member of Bowser's species because Bowser definitely isn't the only one. You've got the Koopa Kids in the earlier Mario Party games. You've got the Koopalings (Possibly.) And you've got Bowser Junior. My personal belief about Dry Bowser, the Dry Bones and every other skeletal enemy is that they're just reanimated corpses by Kamek or even the Koopalings to work as their servants. My conclusion is that Bowser is definitely NOT dead.
+Tomsk Bromley The Battle Ring is non-canon. So is Mario Kart. The only times we see Dry Bowser in the main series games: - New Super Mario Bros. [DS], his debut, where he literally becomes Dry Bowser by melting his flesh off. Jr. then later revives him by sticking his skeleton in a cauldron of boiling acid - or what I at least assume is acid since the bubbles are the same color as the deathly liquid in the jungle worlds. *this shows that Dry Bowser = Bowser, and SHOWS US THAT HE CAN TURN BACK INTO FLESH BOWSER* - Super Mario 3D Land, as the boss of half of the Special Worlds, which can only be played *after you beat the final Bowser* - New Super Mario Bros. 2, as the boss of World Star, the world you can only access *after you beat the final Bowser* I think it's very much all but confirmed that Dry Bowser, 100% of the time, is a fleshless normal Bowser. I personally see it as an alternate, stress-induced form. Like how the Mario & Luigi games have canonized the fact that he can grow huge after being smashed nearly to death, he becomes a skeleton of his old self by being dropped in lava. (Friendly reminder that the baby forms of characters mean that Mario Kart is doing some seriously bad things to the flow of time in the Mushroom Kingdom, so there can in fact be two Bowsers.)
Tomsk Bromley or the simpler idea, that skeletonization after death is just a trait that his species has. Bowser is the ultimate koopa after all, “king koopa”, and can probably do the same things that koopas can do but more, such as returning to a flesh form after death. Cuz he seems to be bloody immortal, considering the fact that he’s survived a black hole (seen in credits of supermariogalaxy2)
3 words to debunk this. BOWSERS INSIDE STORY. If this was true, there would be a sign of KING BOO, not regular boos, in bowser's possessed corpse, but there isn't
@@bluespidrlily I think at least after Luigi's Mansion since Professor E Gadd appears in partners in time and seems to know the Mario bros (since he introduces himself in Luigi's Mansion, and I know his past self in PIT meets them in them in the past, but its the first in a long time he meet them and probably wouldn't think they were the same person since these games were years apart and he definitely aged), and BIS definitely came after PIT, because of Fawful, since he hints at his revenge in BIS.
I have a theory. What if the boos are dead enemies that mario stomped on his adventure. It makes sense why there afraid of him. He killed them once before. Now this may be a stretch, but King Boo's crown looks like some variation of the super crown from new super mario bros on the nintendo switch. Maybe that super crown that King Boo is being controlled by his crown. (By the way im going from the design of the Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon.) Maybe he was a normal boo, but got transformed by the super crown. Some boos decide to possess dry bones and try to over come their fear, which is why they could only die from being frozen and shattered. However, most boos try to sneak up on mario when he isn't working. But remember, that's just a theory, a GAME theory! Thanks for reading.
Another awesome video! Also in another old Mario party game there is a mini game where you run from king boo to get to sunlight. There are small boos traveling around and if they touch you they possess you and make you walk into their king to your "death". It is honestly very possible Bowser could of outright been possessed in his sleep if it was the king considering small ones can do it and Bowser died as a result of King Boo overestimating the strength of his new hosts body. Since its dead at this point anyway, why not keep using it?
I've said this somewhere in the comments of another video a long while back, but I always thought this theory was kind of balls because Bowser has way too much personality to just be "posessed."
***** Doesn't Sunshine also happen after Luigi's Mansion ? Or is it the other way around? I didn't play much of Sunshine so I don't really know, but the fact Bowser Jr exists means Bowser had to be alive to reproduce
***** E.Gadd made Mario's Fludd and also gave Bowser Jr. his magic paintbrush (thinking he was Mario I suppose). Mario also encounters a version of King Boo in this game, though he's not the one from Luigi's Mansion. I would say Sunshine could go either before Luigi's Mansion, or after it.
Tami_DE colorful look, paper characters. The japanese name being “Mario’s Story” what if it was just That..A STORY look at SMB3 on how it was all a stage play.
Alright, there are a couple of major hitches with this theory. 1. All those times "bowser" appears to die in the classic games isn't suspicious or even odd, especially considering that almost every single time bowser appeared to "die" it was just some random enemy disguised as bowser, you could see this in the original SMB when you kill "bowser" with a fire flower he turns into a regular enemy on death. But even more so, this was shown to be 100% true in super mario 3D world where the "bowser" of each world is revealed to be a normal enemy disguised as bowser. 2. That quote from paper mario doesn't prove a damn thing, in said quote they did indeed state that bowser was "badly beaten" and that he would likely "never return". Neither Kolorodo nor his wife ever DIRECTLY stated that bowser was dead. Further more, both of them are clearly optimists given the fact that they state that they are almost positive bowser will never return when his track record clearly says otherwise. 3. And we finally reach the point in the theory that i saw coming. Its a flawed point, very flawed. Why? Because the "Bowser" in luigi's mansion is a suit. How do i know this? Simple, his head comes off, clean off, no blood, guts or anything, like the head of an action figure being popped off, or the head piece of a suit being taken off. Secondly, no trace of bowser is shown before or remains after the fight, that alone is enough to show that its no corpse. Thirdly, everytime you face a boss in Luigi's mansion, you are taken to a sort of pocket dimension controlled and manipulated by said boss, that's why the trippy backgrounds are there, that's why Chauncey can shrink you, that's why the roof of Luigi's mansion appears to be completely detached from the rest of the building and floating by itself. Its not impossible to imagine that one could create new objects in these pocket dimensions, like the bowser SUIT king boo uses, which, like the rest of the mansion, disappears when the mansion vanishes, corpses don't just vanish into thin air, so if that really was the corpse of bowser that king koopa used, his head wouldn't detach and float for one, two it would've been left behind when the mansion vanished. Also, i think it should be fairly obvious that King Boo has the power to warp the reality of the mansion as shown when he caused that room he was in to spin 360 DEGREES. 4. Once again, you're quote mining, that fortune teller didn't confirm a thing, she was just curious about why she seemingly saw "bowser" in her crystal ball. It was in fact king boos suit that she saw. Also, defeat does NOT imply death, get that straight. 5. Sorry, this dosen't get around the fact that the "bowser" can remove his head. He clearly isn't a ghost considering you implied him to be a corpse, and if he were dead, he couldn't be undead. Secondly, yes, the undead or zombies can sometimes remove their head, but it never comes off 100% clean, where as the head of the bowser from luigi's mansion does. Plus you can also see that its HOLLOW as in EMPTY inside the body of the "bowser" from luigi's mansion. You can't cover that up with anything. The "bowser" in luigi's mansion is a suit, a phantasmic creation of king boo and NOTHING MORE. 6. Get your damn facts straight, Blue fire does NOT imply supernatural activity. Blue fire can exist NATURALLY. Don't believe me? Then go and fire up that propane burner of yours. Notice how the flames has a blue coloration near the base, that means the fire is hotter. When bowser blows blue colored fire, it dosen't mean he is a supernatural entity, it just means the fire is hotter than his normal flame. Come on, this is basic science! Here is a quick showing of how the color of fire relates to the fires temperature: CoolerHotter Red---> Orange---> Yellow---> White---> Blue 7. Dry Bowser? Two possibilities here. One, Dry Bowser is a bowser from another reality, which is why he sometimes shows up SIDE BY SIDE with normal bowser. Two, in his other appearances, "Dry Bowser" is a disguised enemy, disguised in that way to frighten bowsers enemies. Neither points to bowser being dead, nice try. Oh, and even if dry bowser is bowsers remains possesed by a spirit, then its likely his own spirit, not king koopas. In fact, dry bowser was restored to normal bowser at the end of new super mario bros, so he wasn't ever really dead during the events of those games, just think about Grunty from banjo tooie. She was nothing but bones in that game, and yet not technically dead, so whos to say dry bowser is any different? Oh, and the spirits that are "possessing" the koopa skeletons of the dry bones are the spirits of the same koopas whose body became said dry bones. No one ever said a koopas spirit leaves its body on death, no, it sticks around, allowing to become animate in the form of a dry bones, no Boos or other spirits needed. Theory BUSTED. Oh, P.S, Matpat already beat you to making a mario timeline, even if he did place a few of the games in the wrong order on said timeline...
yoshitotem Well I have a counter argument about Bowsers spirit my theory, boos are actually Koopas in the afterlife. This would make a lot of sense because of the fact that Mario killed koopas and other enemies so when their spirit (boos) see him they shy away in fear because Mario killed them. Using this theory it would obviously make sense that king Boo is possessing bowser since king boo is bowser's spirit The boos are literally bowsers army after their death. This also makes sense because bowser hires the boos to fight mario as they are his army so he wants to make the most out of it by using their spirits, but since mario killed them they become cowards as they think he would kill them. The quote in Luigi's mansion says how much trouble mario caused him in the PAST the key word here is past implying that Mario killed bowser's army through out the years and left their spirits restless so Bowser had less soldiers to use in battle and finally Mario killed bowser in an epic battle. To gain revenge on mario King boo (bowser's spirit) decided to possess his own corpse to kill Luigi. You can look at it this way Bowser = King boo (as in he's the king of the boos or the dead Koopa army) Koopa Troopas = Boos (as in they are king boos soldiers) This makes more sense when in Japanese bowsers name is King Koopa and his soldiers are named Koopas just like King boo and boos
Interesting counter argument, but it still doesn't account for everything. It's worth pointing out before i begin that koopas can and do survive being jumped on, they just retreat into their shell and pop out again a few minutes later. I maintain that King Boo and Bowser are NOT the same being, anyone who has played the DS remake of mario 64 could tell you that. In mario 64 ds, king boo appears as the boss you need to face to rescue luigi. King Boo's presence in a game alongside a living bowser is more than enough proof to debunk this theory. And if boos really are supposed to be the spirits of dead koopas, why would they bother possesing some old skeleton when boos can do so much more and better? Thats why i maintain that boos and dry bones are not one in the same. Plus, dead koopas don't self resurrect as dry bones, (dry bowser dosen't count here because bowser never died in the first place, he was accidentally transformed into dry bowser thanks to an unfortunate lava dunk (and he has survived those before)) magikoopas are the ones to re-animate koopa skeletons.
yoshitotem I enjoy when people debunk my theories and discussions like this happen with the community, and your counter argument is pretty good, but Dry Bowser appears in many games side by side with bowser in many games so it wouldn't be strange or theory debunking when characters like these appear in games together e.g. Mario Kart, Mario Sports and Mario Party. Also kamek can revive the Koopa army from death. So in SM64DS the first two bowsers are clones and the king boo is another clone and the dead bowser is getting powered up and revived throughout mario's adventure by kamek. Clones aren't a strange thing in the mario universe as in the first SMB 7 of 8 bowsers were clones
There is also the issue of the fact that bowser is alive and well as we've seen in the most recent main series installments. Kind of hard to prove bowser is somehow dead/is king boo if, you know, he's still alive. Also, sorry to say, That cloning argument seems like a cop out on your part, there isn't a lot of evidence in the main series games to support the idea that bowser was or has ever been cloned, there also isn't enough evidence to prove that cloning is possible in the world of the mushroom kingdom, a world based on magic rather than science. For the record, the various "bowsers" that mario defeats in the castles of the first game aren't clones, they are convincing fakes created by using magic to disguise regular minions (koopas and goombas) as bowser.
When you said that the Paper Mario quote didn't say he died and that's why the theory isn't true, I'm pretty sure Nintendo is a company for "younger audience". So saying he died would be a little scary for them.
I can disprove this theory. The first possibility was disproved by paper jam confirming that paper mario takes place in a separate world than the canon mario games. The second possibility can also be disproven as at the end of Galaxy 1 bowser is seen after the universe resets as well as in the credits of Galaxy 2.
[GD] ururun wolf according to Mario & Luigi: Bowsers inside story, Bowser has a built in system that activates when he’s in mortal danger, making him huge. Also his super muscles can kick in and throw castles. Not to mention, I do believe bowser has been put into lava before not in mega form and still survived. He’s also a master of the dark arts himself. It’s kind of more of a stretch to say that he dies every time in lava rather than he survives considering he survives much worse. Like a black hole (end of SMG2 credits reveal he is still alive).
[GD] ururun wolf not to mention his fire immunity isn’t really cannon either. Some games he dies by fireballs, others he survives being submerged in lava.
You know I actually thought this theory could be possible, but then the remake of mario and luigi bowser's inside story plus bowser jr's journey had a different reason for bowser becoming dry bowser. Turns out dry bowser came about by some medicine container for the blorbs that bowser ate whole.
What if bowsers real spirit is chained up somewhere (if this is right) nod has been trying to get out since luigis mansion. This could also be why he didn't appear in luigis mansion dark moon.
That Dark Moon is a way of saying" King unpossed Bowser, Kamen revives him, but Bowser gets supernatural powers...like enhanced durability, and his own soul possessing his old body"
The thing is that, there is a game where Bowser is 100 present died. The old game for the Nintendo 64 "Mario is Missing". At the end of the game, Bowser literally freeses to death, and on the screen as well, this could back up this up as well.
Seeing King Boo popping out of a Bowser body in his boss fight did make me think Bowser was dead in Luigi's Mansion when I first played many years ago.
Dry Bowser being possessed by King Boo is a really good idea. The other thing is I’ve never seen Dry Bowser speak. The fact that bowser’s head comes off is reflective of how Dry bones’ heads come off, yet they somehow returns. The only question is why does the REAL Bowser have a conscience, or why does the REAL Bowser still intend to kidnap Princess Peach, and why can they both be featured in games where they both exist simultaneously
I have a pretty interesting video idea. What if Mario from Super Mario Sunshine and Luigi from Luigi's Mansion suddenly switched places? It would be pretty cool to suck up goop with Luigi and spray water to defeat ghosts with Mario.
Last night I watched this video at about 2::25 just for fun. I started nodding off during the segment before Dry Bowser's the "SPOOKY SCARY SKELETONS" part scared the shit outta me
Biggest gripe I have, and the only one, is that shigeru once stated that... "He sees the Mario cast as performers, similar to Pop-eye, being that it was his favorite growing up." It explains alot, actually. The curtains for Smb3 for example.
You already made me laugh with Samus' generator shoulders, and you made me laugh with "EXORCISM, YEAH!". I'd like to put this channel's category into science-comedy. XD
Some other boos may be possessing other creatures. E.G. Gommbas. You stomp on them, they die. However when leaving the area (restarting the level) it comes back. See, Gnoggin. I can use my head, AND STAY AWESOME!!
So, this could mean that King Boo is the true main villain. And Boos are possessing Bone Goombas, Dry Bones, Bone Piranha's, and Bony Beetles are actually Boos in disguise. That makes sense for why these Bony enemies, except the Bone Piranha Plants, instantly get back up.
Well, I'd love to see an update of this amazing video taking into account the events of Super Mario Odyssey, as hats are generally known for their abilities to possess (or capture), so if Mario has Cappy, and Peach has Tiara.... does Bowser have King Boo?
I like to think that the boos are actually dead children of the Mushroom Kingdom (dark, I know) and when you look at them, they take on the "If I can't see you, you can't see me" tactic.
Mario & Sonic at the 2012 London Olympic Games also debunks this theory since in the ending of story mode, you see Bowser AND King Boo together at the same time.
You know, it could be that the games where Bowser and King Boo are working together happen BEFORE Luigi's Mansion, and once Bowser was completely killed King Boo enacted his plan and revived Bowser as his servant, eventually possessing his body.
I'm pretty positive SM64 is where Bowser truly died. I mean he was hurled into multiple spiked bombs and even states to Mario "You've really beaten me this time Mario!" By "really beaten me this time" that to me sounds like the words coming from someone facing certain death.
The only hole in this theory is bowser Jr. Bowser is obviously shown to care deeply for his kid and koopalings, while king boo wouldn't care about them.
4 oh
+Beriorn Or because the real King Boo is still in Bowsers body and all the other "King Boos" are really just larger Boos who wear the crown to tricking everybody, so that nobody notice that Bowser is still possessed by the real King Boo
+Naxure Earth The medic was King Boo.
+Naxure Earth Or maybe King Boo is the king of the king boos... Or something.
Woah didn't expect to see you here! :0 Love your vids man.
ConnerTheWaffle if king boo can be kicked out and bowser returned to his body wouldn't it make more sence for bowzer to act as a sort of minion for king boo in exhange bowzer can be reserected every time he dies
ConnerTheWaffle Make a Mario timeline vid BTW I love your videos
ConnerTheWaffle i subscribed to you because i like your waffle :D
CONATEHWOFLE! What a surprise. :D
Want to know how bowser keeps coming back? It's called 1-up mushrooms.
or he just has extra lives like mario.
Morphstar changeling and 3up moons
Morphstar changeling lol
Morphstar changeling yea plus he is that strong
DarkFredBear yeah 1up mushrooms
Bowser didn't die in either of the galaxy Games. The universe was reset in Galaxy 1 and you see a tiny and angry bowser in the credits of Galaxy 2.
Kevin Hanson your right.Bowser is so durable he survived both things with ease.
Well, actually, maybe the supernova caused Luigi to enter some sort of purgatory until the universe reset at the very end of Galaxy 1. So King Boo took the chance to try to possess Bowser and capture Mario in the spirit world.
NateROCKS112
What about Luigi? When did Luigi come into this? Are you watching too much Chuggaaconroy?
Kevin Hanson Umm... I barely watch chuggaconroy. They probably wanted both Mario Bros. because they both have messes around. In Super Mario Galaxy, you can play the entire thing again as Luigi. That would explain it.
Kevin Hanson Lel Super Luigi Galaxy references lel Chuggaconoroy my favorite TH-camr AHHHHHH
HE'S SURVIVED BOTH OF BOTH SUPERNOVA AND BLACKHOLE HE IS THAT STRONG
Snap Human yep
Nope
@@francocavalletti9217 why?
But didn't Bowser appear at the end of Mario Galaxy after he was "killed"? It was that whole universal reset thing, wasn't it? Sorry, been awhile since I played that game.
Zach Wright Yeah, that's a pretty big hole to this theory
The Theory surronding that is that it's a "seperate universe" that's why you see all the Mario enemies and the good guys in the same place as "allys", and that would also explain why Mario and Bowser go kart but in another univers they're rivals. Hopefully tht answerd it :)
Squid Fish Actually, according to Miyamoto, the entire Mario crew is more like a "group of actors, or a family". The actors part seems pretty reasonable when you remember that Mario 3 had a lot of hints that it was all just a play.
Bowser was also alive in the end of galaxy 2
Zach Wright i dont agree with the universal reset thing, it has some holes in it...

+Pitch Ender yes, but that is just a theory
+Jacob Tanner a GAME theory, thanks for watching
Uh, AH-DOY!
Yes in the first game but not that 2nd game plus bowser is already dead
yes
In Super Mario World there is a level called sunken ghost ship, which is of course a wrecked ship from Super Mario Bros 3. and its filled with boos, this means that Bowser´s minions turn into boos when they die, (Others turn into dry bones for some reason or maybe dry bones are just possessed corpses) If Bowser is the king of the koopas and koopas turn into boos when they die that means Bowser and King Boo might be one and the same.
ArmaBiologica35 Then explain the team up in Super Princess Peach. Other than that little hole, that's an awesome theory.
And before someone says that Nintendo wanted to pay homage to the artstyle of the original Luigi´s Mansion by giving King Boo his old design then Why did they changed the design of the normal ghosts in Luigis Mansion Dark Moon?
why do so many people want to a timeline in a series that wasn't supposed to have one?
Adrian Twombley You might want to rewrite that comment so it, well, makes sense.
I think the king boo from Luigi's mansion is a different king boo than the one that's appeared in other games because that would explain how bowser(king boo) and the other king boo can exist at the same time. Such as how both of them are present in games like Mario kart wii and super princess peach.
Ryan Bush me to because they look very different
But the big question Arises. How come did King boo in Luigis mansion say that Mario caused him so much trouble in the past? How did Mario cause him Trouble when he never even faced him once.
Mario kart and mario party are not canon
Because the other king boo looks so different
Ryan Bush so King Boo from Luigi's Mansion 1 and 2 are the same but in other games it's a different King Boo because they look different I think I get it
Mabe after King Boo revived Bowser they became one , meaning both Bower and King Boo's souls control the body, Like fusions in Steven Universe.does that make sense?
Gnoggin Says that bowser died in the supernova. At the end of both games, you can see that he's alive.
FUUUUUUUUSIOOOOOON HAAAAA!!!!

I thought this should have been an Halloween theory personally. But, awesome video man. Keep up the good work.
Kyle Weidenfeller hahaha. Sorry beat you to it. :)

This theory is full of logical gaps....

Cyros Ignika Let us not forget that Bowser is there AFTER the universe resets in Mario Galaxy.
If he still exists at that point, then King Boo and Bowser will have been separated, as the universe was made new, like a refresher.
It couldn't be a super Mario galaxy, since we see bowser survived both in the credits.
Zelda Prime Yep
Zelda Prime but that is a different universe according to Rosalina.Game Theory used the same explanation :)
Mads Bjørn Well game theory has theories like Mario is a psycho, and bowser is the good guy, so I wouldn't trust their logic
Drew Schmidt Exactly. All of this is in fact, only conjecture.
Zelda Prime then then their is the fact that at the end of the first Mario galaxy game Mario said welcome new galaxy witch hints that their where no resets but some people seems to ferget that part
sometimes I feel sorry for bowser he's died in so many painful ways
I know that nobody likes Mario is Missing, but Bowser crumbles into itty bitty pieces at the end of that game.
I remember this on “Super Mario 3d Land” where Bowser flied to the next world, but I noticed he had nothing like the Tanooki suit or the propeller suit, nothing he flied to the next world
Wow edit is damn confusing
MR_Shark 5536 what i’m saying is that if King Boo is bowser, then King Boo stole his identity and everything he had
Bowser doesn't die. Nintendo logic.
The black hole didn't kill bowser, because during the ending he is near peach's castle, knocked out and a lot smaller
The only times we see Dry Bowser in the main series games:
- New Super Mario Bros. *this shows that Dry Bowser = Bowser, and SHOWS US THAT HE CAN TURN BACK INTO FLESH BOWSER*
- Super Mario 3D Land, as the boss of half of the Special Worlds, which can only be played *after you beat the final Bowser*
- New Super Mario Bros. 2, as the boss of World Star, the world you can only access *after you beat the final Bowser*
I think it's very much all but confirmed that Dry Bowser, 100% of the time, is a fleshless normal Bowser.
Cuz he seems to be bloody immortal, considering the fact that he’s survived a black hole (seen in credits of supermariogalaxy2)
don't forget BIS

I think Paper Mario takes place in another dimension and Bowser died in Mario Galaxy and the first Luigi's Mansion takes place after Galaxy
3 words to debunk this. BOWSERS INSIDE STORY. If this was true, there would be a sign of KING BOO, not regular boos, in bowser's possessed corpse, but there isn't
@@bluespidrlily I think at least after Luigi's Mansion since Professor E Gadd appears in partners in time and seems to know the Mario bros (since he introduces himself in Luigi's Mansion, and I know his past self in PIT meets them in them in the past, but its the first in a long time he meet them and probably wouldn't think they were the same person since these games were years apart and he definitely aged), and BIS definitely came after PIT, because of Fawful, since he hints at his revenge in BIS.

this makes me think of game theory, I love it!

***** What, a ghost can't be an egoistical genius with an explosive temper (Or what have you) simply because he's possessing someone?
***** Doesn't Sunshine also happen after Luigi's Mansion ? Or is it the other way around? I didn't play much of Sunshine so I don't really know, but the fact Bowser Jr exists means Bowser had to be alive to reproduce
*****
Intution? I don't know one came after the other thats for sure
***** the F.L.U.D.D nozzle crates have E.gadd's face on them and he recognizes luigi. Obviously it would be after luigi's mansion
Revenge is wrong, and Mario isn't trying to invade the Ghost Houses, he has to go through them to get to Bowser.
Also what he ment by never coming back is running away and never coming back
Well paper mario and normal mario are two different persons so paper bowser may be ded but normal bowser isn't
Tami_DE colorful look, paper characters. The japanese name being “Mario’s Story”
what if it was just That..A STORY
look at SMB3 on how it was all a stage play.
Here is a quick showing of how the color of fire relates to the fires temperature:
CoolerHotter
Red---> Orange---> Yellow---> White---> Blue
You can look at it this way
Bowser = King boo (as in he's the king of the boos or the dead Koopa army)
Koopa Troopas = Boos (as in they are king boos soldiers)
This makes more sense when in Japanese bowsers name is King Koopa and his soldiers are named Koopas just like King boo and boos
Interesting counter argument, but it still doesn't account for everything.
It's worth pointing out before i begin that koopas can and do survive being jumped
on, they just retreat into their shell and pop out again a few minutes later.
I maintain that King Boo and Bowser are NOT the same being, anyone who has played the
DS remake of mario 64 could tell you that. In mario 64 ds, king boo appears as the boss you
need to face to rescue luigi. King Boo's presence in a game alongside a living bowser is more
than enough proof to debunk this theory.
And if boos really are supposed to be the spirits of dead koopas, why would they bother possesing
some old skeleton when boos can do so much more and better? Thats why i maintain that boos
and dry bones are not one in the same. Plus, dead koopas don't self resurrect as dry bones,
(dry bowser dosen't count here because bowser never died in the first place, he was accidentally
transformed into dry bowser thanks to an unfortunate lava dunk (and he has survived those before))
magikoopas are the ones to re-animate koopa skeletons.
yoshitotem I enjoy when people debunk my theories and discussions like this happen with the community, and your counter argument is pretty good, but Dry Bowser appears in many games side by side with bowser in many games so it wouldn't be strange or theory debunking when characters like these appear in games together e.g.
There is also the issue of the fact that bowser is alive and well as we've seen in the most recent
main series installments. Kind of hard to prove bowser is somehow dead/is king boo if, you know,
he's still alive.
Also, sorry to say, That cloning argument seems like a cop out on your part, there isn't a lot of evidence
in the main series games to support the idea that bowser was or has ever been cloned, there also isn't
enough evidence to prove that cloning is possible in the world of the mushroom kingdom, a world based
on magic rather than science. For the record, the various "bowsers" that mario defeats in the castles of
the first game aren't clones, they are convincing fakes created by using magic to disguise regular minions
(koopas and goombas) as bowser.
+PKFun All true, but it was still stated that Bowser could be "revived", so he had to be dead at the moment.
Well how about new super Mario bros on the DS. Bowser actually does die in it.
Definitely a very in depth look at something some fans never really think of. Great video I like it a lot
My childhood has been DEMOLISHED!!! Thanks so much whoever made this theory!

Nope technically gnoggin is first because watched the video before any body else
Brogan Kogler I never thought that in any way, good point dude
Brogan Kogler This.
GnogginAllen Zarco Who are you talking to?
Jack ToadR0XMK they're talking to Brogan Kogler
I really like this theory like if you agree
What if bowsers real spirit is chained up somewhere (if this is right) nod has been trying to get out since luigis mansion. This could also be why he didn't appear in luigis mansion dark moon.
That Dark Moon is a way of saying" King unpossed Bowser, Kamen revives him, but Bowser gets supernatural powers...like enhanced durability, and his own soul possessing his old body"
The thing is that, there is a game where Bowser is 100 present died. The old game for the Nintendo 64 "Mario is Missing". At the end of the game, Bowser literally freeses to death, and on the screen as well, this could back up this up as well.
on new super mario bros for ds final boss i saw bowser jr reviving bowser, so this is how is tarted knew how bowser cant die.
Seeing King Boo popping out of a Bowser body in his boss fight did make me think Bowser was dead in Luigi's Mansion when I first played many years ago.
this means that mario is the weakest mario brother, since he was kidnapped by a ghost, and a hammer brother.
Echo: NOPE! Not effected my love of Bowser. Now, he's even more awesome!
In super mario bros 3, the boos only appeard in fortresses, which means that they must be part of bowser's army in some way.
Man lockstin has improved. This was the first video of his I saw and it’s so different from the now
Last night I watched this video at about 2::25 just for fun. I started nodding off during the segment before Dry Bowser's the "SPOOKY SCARY SKELETONS" part scared the shit outta me
This is the first video i've ever seen of this channel and I subscribed for the first two minutes was up.
Biggest gripe I have, and the only one, is that shigeru once stated that...
"He sees the Mario cast as performers, similar to Pop-eye, being that it was his favorite growing up."
It explains alot, actually. The curtains for Smb3 for example.
You already made me laugh with Samus' generator shoulders, and you made me laugh with "EXORCISM, YEAH!". I'd like to put this channel's category into science-comedy. XD
EXISISUM YEAH
Some other boos may be possessing other creatures. E.G. Gommbas. You stomp on them, they die. However when leaving the area (restarting the level) it comes back. See, Gnoggin. I can use my head, AND STAY AWESOME!!
So, this could mean that King Boo is the true main villain.
And Boos are possessing Bone Goombas, Dry Bones, Bone Piranha's, and Bony Beetles are actually Boos in disguise. That makes sense for why these Bony enemies, except the Bone Piranha Plants, instantly get back up.
Owning Luigi's Mansion for the Gamecube, I already knew Bowser was possessed. Yet I never knew how he finally died.
4:58 if bowser fell in a black hole, there wouldn't be a corpse, there would not be anything
Pikminman1000 At 5:39 he said King Boo could even summon bowser
You don't die in a black hole. You are just trapped in a dark void for a very long period of time.
I think Bowser ended up grudgingly impressed with King Boo's possession of him, which is why they began working together in later games.
Well, I'd love to see an update of this amazing video taking into account the events of Super Mario Odyssey, as hats are generally known for their abilities to possess (or capture), so if Mario has Cappy, and Peach has Tiara.... does Bowser have King Boo?
3:41 that blue yoshi seems to be enjoying that mushroom tip ;)
When I was a kid I always assumed King Boo was just the ghost of Bowser.
I like to think that the boos are actually dead children of the Mushroom Kingdom (dark, I know) and when you look at them, they take on the "If I can't see you, you can't see me" tactic.
I like more bowser and king boo working together more than bowser being posessed
I loved that "Dance of the Boos" melody from Super Mario Galaxy
Mario & Sonic at the 2012 London Olympic Games also debunks this theory since in the ending of story mode, you see Bowser AND King Boo together at the same time.
You know, it could be that the games where Bowser and King Boo are working together happen BEFORE Luigi's Mansion, and once Bowser was completely killed King Boo enacted his plan and revived Bowser as his servant, eventually possessing his body.
When he says i remember how much trouble he caused in the past he means in sunshine because sunshine came BEFORE Luigi mansion.
I'm pretty positive SM64 is where Bowser truly died. I mean he was hurled into multiple spiked bombs and even states to Mario "You've really beaten me this time Mario!" By "really beaten me this time" that to me sounds like the words coming from someone facing certain death.
0:21 I get it, because Luigi is holding the key, and that is timed so well
Thunder rumbling in real the same time as the video one.. after you said that bowler was posessed. XD
"Ghosts and the Undead remove body parts and reattach them all the time! Like all these examples"
show the movie AND cartoon versions of Beetlejuice
The only hole in this theory is bowser Jr. Bowser is obviously shown to care deeply for his kid and koopalings, while king boo wouldn't care about them.
And, in the RPG's , Bowser keep mantaing it's own personality, and I don't think Bowser and King Boo have met really well
Bowser: *levitates* chemic or is it kemic?: EXORCISM
