Thank you for this video. I have a woodturning lathe which has this unit preconfigured and I cannot hear the fan running all the time. I was looking through the parameter manual and found the default is fan on always, you could change it with 03.08 parameter to come on when motor is running.

I have the Delta VFD-EL UK version. fan control is function 03.08 perhaps you have similar option in the book?

The switches behind the keypad have nothing to do with "Ready" "Run" "Fault". Switch 1 locks the drive to 50Hz max, switch 2 locks the drive to "free run to stop" and switch 3 to ACI freq. input. I suggest downloading the full manual or read it on the supplied disk. The paper manual is just a basic parameter list.

Hi dear.
U asked about the fan.
I've got different model which has aluminium cooler on back to absorb the heat.
Uk standard model come with cooling fan which most works continuously.
I think if u look at the book u will find an option which blong to ambient temperature. Fan not working at any time .
