@Motorcyclesymmetry Times and prices have definitely changed. Back in 1976 I bought my first truck. It was a brand new Dodge D100 for a whopping $2,800.
@@Motorcyclesymmetrymaybe today. But back in 73 I purchased a show room brand new 1971 Hodaka Super Rat with an dealer installed Webco head for around that price
My friend had this bike back then and I got the ride it and it was a great riding bike but it didn't have a fantastic amount of power imagine this bike with a 250cc two-stroke Yamaha engine upgraded it would be an awesome animal
Did the tank clear the front of the frame ? I've heard some of them are a bit narrow at the front and are a tight fit on the frame I do have one but haven't tried it on a bike yet
@@Motorcyclesymmetry Thanks If need be I'd shave a little off the frame and plate it with flat steel if you understand what I mean I've been thinking of getting one of their aluminium tanks as well
This was my first motorcycle.
My first bije was an ACE100B. So much fun, that rear sprocket was so big it could climb as well as 175`s and honda 4 strokes.
This was the first bike I bought brand new back in the early 70's for I think $385. This bike started my life long love of enduro riding.
I see a lot of original invoices doing this kind of work. $385 might get you tires and tubes.

2 Strokes 4 ever. 😊
It would be great if a company recreated the Hodaka experience, I don't think that the Government, the EPA, and others would allow it.
If idiots can still "roll coal" I think we can get away with it somehow.
10 H.P.
It's a monster!

Yes it clears. It’s tight but it clears. If you have a powdered frame you may need to sand it down a bit based on my experience.
