James- next time you are prepping for a storm- grab a couple of ratchet straps-(Bike/Cargo Tie-Downs) and wrap over the solar panels down to the deck- they are a great "wing" when the wind gets up over 25-30Knots!! Good work on finding the errant cushion!
    Cheers from Melbourne

Cheers for the advice Roger. Our Solar Panels are bolted on with some fairly heavy duty u-bolts, and so far have done well up to 65kts. But we will take that precaution next time. We don't want to lose them. 👍

Hi, I have been enjoying your videos for awhile now.
One thing that I have noticed while you are sailing, and with other sailing channels too, is that you only have one line going to your dingy.
I, not a sailing person, would think that you would want the added security of a backup line in case the primary line parts.
Once again, I am not criticizing you, just curious as I have noticed other channels seem to do it also.
Thanks for the look into what sailing is really like, cheers, russell.

Nothing wrong with some redundancy Russell. You are right in that we usually only run one line when towing the tender. Generally we aren't too worried as the line we use would really only break if there was some chaff at the tender connection or at the cleat on the boat. Also, our tender is ridiculously light (57kg with motor), and the lines generally can handle far greater loads than that. Usually we only tow over short distances and in calmer conditions, so the risk in pretty minimal.
However, perhaps a bridal system would help distribute the weight and offer a little redundancy.
Appreciate the feedback mate and you've given me some food for thought.👍

Do you know about the sailing channel Sailing into Freedom? Peter was sailing alone and was struck about 3 times. Blew a hole in his boat and fried a lot of electronics. Scary!

Hi Johan - we bought the boat in the BVI's. Then we sailed across the Atlantic to the Med, sailed around the Med for 2 summers and...well you will see where we go in the next videos. Cheers for watching.👍
