Its pretty shocking how many red herrings are required to avoid the actual content of the text. It would stand to read that a Biblical position on the KJV would have some sort of textual evidence from the... you know... text. Not even the King James Version of the Bible claims what Sam Gipp claims for it. Again, none of this come from any content that is deribed from the text of scripture. Astonishing that anyone falls for this...

We do textual criticism because we want to know what the apostles originally wrote. We want to know what the Bible says, not what a later scribe added as commentary. The critical text of the New Testament is solid. People get saved while reading "new versions" all the time.

And I'll add to the necessary works Riplinger's books, which children like "Truth Seeker" couldn't handle; and Ruckman's book, "Errors in the King James Bible". 6:30. Law of first mention is not a thing. Gipp says The first time the Bible mentioned something is how God views it there after… At six minutes and 30 seconds he mentions the serpent from Genesis chapter 3. But what about the image of the bronze serpent that the Israelites looked to for healing in the time of Moses? In this case the serpent pictured / foreshadowed Christ on the cross. Gipp is a pompous fool

    • @KingjamesAV1611
      @KingjamesAV1611 ปีที่แล้ว +5

@@DavidBrown-tf7uv ..... but you have to remember that the Bible says, cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree. (Galatians 3:13) Christ was made a curse for us when he was on that cross...... and it just so happens that the first time the word "cursed" shows up in the KJV is in Genesis 3 when dealing with the SERPENT. So Gipp is right on with his assessment, I hope you come around to the idea of "first mentions". Once you start studying them out, they will blow your mind. 🤯

      I. Have read Philo for many years. Philo was the head of the largest synagogue outside of Jerusalem. (The synagogue in Alexander Egypt) His brother was the head assistant priest to the high priest in Jerusalem and one of the chief financiers of Herod’s temple.
He never put himself out to be a Christian of any dirt. He Mostly wrote to the Grecian world trying to convince them that MOSES WAS THE LOGOS that the Greeks spoke of.
It was his trip to Rome which gave the present world a unique picture of the persecution of Christians who he lit up his garden with and insisted in taking Philo and the other Jewish elders of Alexandria through.
At that time Philo has come to request relief from the Egyptian persecution of Jews through Nero. He decided after seeing what Nero was doing to Christians to drop the matter and ho back to Alexandria Egypt and tide out the persecution lest, “they treat us like these Christians.”
Nero was a Greco-Philo so Philo got no sympathy there, though Nero’s wife very much liked jews and admired their religious practice.
Much of Philo’s writing was an expository rendition of the days of creation. . He was vastly popular in the early church, as many believers read his writings.
He wrote volumes of intricate writing, and though NOT a Christian he was “Christian friendly.
Much of what dr Gipp has said is the result of reading Philo’s critics and not Philo’s writings themselves.
So I can’t really hold him accountable for misunderstanding some if those basics that Philo believed or wrote.
His writing is a multi years project to wade through so it is a long project and easier to go by the writings of other “scholars” on Philo than his actual writings, though that often leaves you with less than a Cliff’s Notes version of his writings.
Yes many more hours could be undertaken to read but the unfortunate thing in this flesh is that we are limited in what we even have time to study here in this earth.
So, we await that heavenly library being opened to us where the books will be opened and we will have eternity to learn
For now don’t be so harsh on a couple mistakes a person might make on their scholarship as we are ALL SINNERS and have all fallen short of the glory of God and continue to fall short.

He said that god left the church in Jerusalem and that the church in Antioch had to send relief to that church-in Jerusalem - as if God left them. However he didn’t read verse 28 where it said that there was a dearth throughout all the world , why didn’t he read that verse? , did God leave the world? acts 11:26, 29 but he skipped 28 , I read my Bible , amen amen amen as Ruck would say.

Sadly, having the right Bible does not ensure one will have sound doctrine. It is incredible to experience but heretics can read a verse whose meaning is plain and yet the English bounces off of them and they refuse to hear it. Gipp is a case in point. He worships a God who lacks the power to control the fate of his creatures or creation and is reduced to offering salvation in hopes someone may will and work to accept it. Today's situation just proves the truth of God's Word, they have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof. From such turn away.

10/22/2024 The problem is most don't "study to show thyself approved" nor "line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little, there a little". They scan over scripture and expect that they'll get all that's in there like they have a photographic memory along with Sherlock Holmes level of deduction. We aren't taught to think, we assume to meditate on scripture is to blank out our minds like Eastern mysticism and not as the Bible teaches for us to ponder or chew up the verses in our mind, delving into what it means from God's context--as found in the scriptures. We are weak-minded people by design.

Declaring that non-KJV versions are "trash" is the mark of a foolish heretic. Note that non-KJVO people like me NEVER say that the KJV is a bad translation, corrupt or that it hasn't been used greatly by God but this is nonsense. Bible scholars take ALL the manuscripts available and translate in the light of the findings - remember too that the KJV was translated by clerical Anglicans who read into the English text their church practices, this is not WRONG but you have to take it into account. Which KJVO people never acknowledge, nor that the KJV has been substantially revised since its first edition, not that it is based on previous English version bibles.

The trinity is not biblical. The trinity comes from pagan Egypt and Catholicism followed suit.
    The Godhead is biblical.
    Colossians 2:8-9
We are made in God's image.
    God is the soul
    Jesus is the body
Holy Spirit is the Spirit/Ruach that breathed into our nostrils to "become" a living soul.
    We each have
    A soul
    A body
    A Spirit/Ruach
Yet we are each "ONE" individual We have 3 parts. We are not 3 persons.
God is 3 parts, which consists of soul, body, Spirit/Ruach
God is not 3 persons as Catholicism teaches. Catholicism teaches 3 gods in one.
    (1) God the father
    (2) God the son
    (3) God the spirit
That makes 3 gods, not one God with 3 parts.
And no, this is not modalism. It is the Godhead of Colossians 2:8-9.

1Ki 3:5 In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee.
1Ki 3:6 And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.
1Ki 3:7 And now, O LORD my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in.
1Ki 3:8 And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude.
1Ki 3:9 Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?
1Ki 3:10 And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.
    1Ki 3:11 And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment;
1Ki 3:12 Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.
1Ki 3:13 And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.
the reason Solomon had all that gold and silver was from God blessing him, in that he asked for wisdom, the thing he did not ask for were given to him as well.

For those of us that don’t adhere to the King James Only idea, it is not because we don’t believe that the KJV is the word of God, or that we are attacking it in any way. We just don’t follow the cult-like thinking that it was inspired the same way the original writers were inspired, and that all other translations are be default corrupt. Some are, many are not.
Gipp has wasted his life preaching a message of the supremacy of a mere translation of the Scriptures in a language that most of the planet doesn’t even speak, at the expense of preaching salvation and the forgiveness of sins through Christ alone.
