I would reference several bibles (KJV, NASB, ESV, NKJV) for my in-depth study till I found who were the ones (Westcott & Hort) behind the tampering of God's Word. i cannot deny that it was kind of overwhelming studying from several versions. I thank God for churches that stand for the preserved Word of God. I got rid off of all my other translations. Now, I love opening the KJV and know that I'm reading God's Word in its entirety without any doubt. Thank God for people like you and many others who defend God's Word while encouraging others to do the same. May God bless you immensely Dr. Stringer. Shalom!

What scripture says that the KJV is the "preserved word of God"? None at all, just more lies, deceptions, and delusions from the KJV only cult. The lies that have been told about Westcott and Hort by the KJV cult are outrageous. Especially from serial liar and KJV only heretic Gail Riplinger. Thank God for better more accurate translations we have been blessed with today. The KJV idolaters are just a bunch of liars.

JW's Watchtower translation comitee, has said it itself, in it's 2013 NWT edition, that they based their translations upon the Wescott and Hort text, and even Johann Greber's, the former catholic priest and occultist to whom presumably, angels were talking to? And still, JW are right to teach not to practice spiritism, to run away from it as far as you can, because such detestable works of the flesh, forbid to inherit the Kingdom of God...and that God will destroy you at Armageddon if you persist in such a sin. But isn't it shocking that they so much contradict themselves at this point, using the the works of spiritism practitioners, while condemning spiritism ?

At the time, he appeared to support the Critical Text translations of the Bible so it seemed like a typical CT attack but as he gradually accepted the Received Text he kept digging at Gail Riplinger and it all seemed to get a bit personal; I suspected he wanted to maintain the stance he’d taken in his book, maybe to keep sales going. "Glad I found this channel! Excellent video! "
WHY and HOW? It's a false cult - in the order of Watchtower -
"I recently ordered a Regular Facsimile 1611 KJV"
Did you get all the pictures of the Catholic saints that were in the ORIGINAL? The references to PURGATORY and OTHER Romish and Papist content of the 1611 KJB?
" and I'm so excited to study it and use it to show how accurate the preserved Word of God is."
How will that prove anything unless you can actually read the Greek and HEBREW texts to compare? Where do you find 1 JOHN 5:7 in ANY original Greek? Even Erasmus - who INSERTED that into his THIRD editions claimed his Greek - the source for the KJB was UNLIKE any previous Greek text in the WORLD - BUT you think you can find ACCURACY in the KJB?
      NOT there.
" I will pass it down in my family forever! "
WHY? SPIRITUALLY, for people of GOD, it would be better BURNED or treated as a historical relic, than studied. MODERN ACCURATE Bibles are far more relevant t and informative of what the SPIRIT of GOD said to the CHURCH.
"Such an awesome piece of history, and it even comes with a Certified antique leaf (page) from an early edition KJV that is around 400 years old! "
There is a sucker born every minute . . .
      "I love the KJV "
YOU are deceived, to be sure.
"and even more, I love our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! God bless"
BUT the KJB says what the WATCHTOWER says - that he is SAVIOUR but NOT God - that the Holy Spirit is an 'IT' and NOT a 'person' - is that possible to accept and still love Him?

By the way, I do not condemn anyone merely for having researched or looked into paranormal phenomena without actually participating in the occult. During my teenage years and on up into my late twenties, I read hundreds of books on a wide variety of things related to UFOs, ghosts, ESP, the Bermuda Triangle, astral projection, strange beings, and other spooky events. But I did so strictly from a Christian perspective, always grounded on the Bible as my foundation, covered by the blood of Christ as a believer, and praying that God would protect me from falling into error. Whatever I learned from such personal studies, I never simply accepted what I read at face value, even if it seemed to make sense intellectually. I always came back and compared it with what the Bible said was truth, often allowing years to pass before God gave me sufficient understanding to reach a final conclusion. I don't read about such things any more because I finally satisfied my curiosity to where I comprehend how such phenomena can exist without contradicting scripture, either as completely undiscovered or very poorly understood features of the natural world, or as outright manifestations from another spiritual dimension. However, there is one extremely important distinction I must draw here. With a few very minor exceptions like trying to test my own ESP ability, I never actively sought out anything related to such paranormal phenomena. In fact, as I got older and wiser, the more I knew and understood such things, the less I wanted to have anything to do with them! Again, my discernment in this regard comes not from my own personal efforts but from the wisdom with which God has gifted me and from His supernatural protection. Anyone who chooses to deliberately dabble in the occult is playing with fire, and unless they fully repent, they will inevitably have their perspective of God and the Bible warped from such experiences.

Neither did B F Westcott - the drivel about HIM involvement is largely false - W W Westcott WAS the founder of several spiritist groups - BUT he is a different person altogether - Riplinger claims he was an alter ego of B F - he was NOT.
A spiritist writer was King James - his book is available on Amazon today.
While Westcott DID do some limited investigation - NOT to the point of belief - into spirits in university -he concluded there was nothing to be gained and maybe much to loose in any investigation of such. I have NO idea where these false reports come from. SRY - they BOTH hankered for the catholic ways - BUT that was NO reason to misjudge their texts unfairly - Textual criticism does NOT usually affect observable sciences like textual criticism.

+@@oksills Unfortunately your statements is as false as can be - and your paradigm deliberately twisted from the truth.
" these wicked and purposely evil men,"
YOU have not the slightest evidence for your belief and statements - and IT is you that has been deliberately deceived and needs to learn.
Those that bash W & H for the most part are KJO cultists - and lying for the cult - particularly THAT cult - seems a requisite.
YOU need to actually listen to FACTS rather then the DELIBERATE slanders and rewritings of the Biblical terrorists.
Here's an example of the DELIBERATE lies made from the FACTS:
      The CLAIM:
"False claim #1: “Writing that his father had a lifelong “faith in what for lack of a better name, one must call Spiritualism,” the son of famed biblical Greek text editor B. F. Westcott admits to considerable public alarm at his father’s activity.” (Jack Chick, Battle Cry, July/August 1993 issue)"
The REAL undoctored and HONEST quote:
"“What happened to this Guild in the end I have not discovered. My father ceased to interest himself in these matters, not altogether, I believe, from want of faith in what, for lack of a better name, one must call Spiritualism, but because he was seriously convinced that such investigations led to no good.” (Life and Letters of Brooke Foss Westcott, Vol. I, p.119)
There are several problems with the claim as made by Chick and Riplinger. First, and most importantly, notice that the quote had “want of” (lack of, e.g. Psalm 23:1) chopped off the front.. Westcott did not have “faith” in Spiritualism, he had “want of [(lack of)] faith” in Spiritualism. Secondly, it was one of two reasons he ceased to interest himself in the the matters the Guild was involved in, shortly after it was formed (notice Chick and Riplinger both falsely use the word “lifelong”). Thirdly, nothing in the quote (or surrounding material) even hints at “public alarm”, let alone “considerable” or even Westcott’s son admitting such. Chick’s claim is completely fabricated, and the quote he chopped to support his claim actually says the exact opposite when the context is examined. The entire quote is somewhat difficult to parse as it stands, but it’s easier to breakdown if viewed as follows: “Westcott ceased, not altogether (not entirely) from want (lack) of faith in Spiritualism, but also because such investigations led to no good.” Was the reason that Westcott ceased due to want (lack) of faith in Spiritualism? Yes, but it was “not altogether” the reason - it was also because “he was seriously convinced that such investigations led to no good.”-Ray McIntyre"
      christianpublishinghouse.co/2019/03/28/can-we-trust-the-westcott-and-hort-1881-greek-text-were-westcott-and-hort-occultist-unbelievers/
There are dozens of examples of deliberate deception taught by the KJO cultsts you appear to subscribe to . . .
Lies, fabrications misleading insertions and removals of key words - typical and consistent in ALL KJO cultic attacks on the Scripture and its untarnished reliability apart from the KJ and TR corruptions.

Hi AY, I KNOW where I will be when my time on earth is over. I am a born again believer and disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ by the grace of God. The Apostle Paul explains "..........absent from the body, to be present with the Lord (2 Cor 5:8). Jesus explains to Nicodemus in John 3 and read also Romans 10, I suggest. True followers of the living God are the only people that know for certain where they are going at life's end on earth. If you are not a believer then I would encourage you to buy a King James Bible (Cambridge Press) and start with John's Gospel. Ask God to guide you and believe the Bible as it is written. Don't bother with Churches that have modern heretic so called 'bibles'. I pray you receive Christ as your Lord and saviour.

"For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works." 2 Corinthians 11:13-15.

I like the general tone of this presentation but I am afraid sometimes in an effort to steer the church back onto the right path we overshoot the road sometimes. The passage from Timothy that is quoted which commands us to "try" every spirit does not teach to "reject" every spirit. To attribute every supenatural encounter to either lunacy, or deception/lying or demons is to run counter to the spirit of that very scripture.

“Devout people on the small scale are (thank God !) common enough. The life of every society is freshened and beautified by their simple faith and love. But my father's was a devotion on what may be truthfully called the very grandest scale. As such it was exposed to a certain misconstruction. "Unsound" or "shadowy" or "mystical" were terms often applied to him. There were even who doubted, through misunderstanding of the man, his fidelity to the very foundations of the Faith. But to all who came near to him the irresistible truth was certainly brought home, that here was a servant of Christ who served Him every day and all the day.” --Canon Westcott

If the liberal scholars were right and it was just the thought that matters (and by thought it's there thought not God's) and the wording doesn't matter than were without hope. How can we know Jesus was God if God can't preserve his own word.
It really comes down to if there's an omnipotent omnipowerful God who made us and redeemed us by his blood he would surely have been able to preserve his word in a clear manner. And he did. There was zero real dispute until the 1800s
God told us in the Bible this exactly kind of thing would happen. The end is near, the antichrist will arise soon. I feel he's likely already been born
    14. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
    15. That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
    16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
    17. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
    18. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
    19. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Note: they denied the atonement of Christ and likened to Mary worship.

My husband is mainly a spanish speaker and luv is hard for him to understand. Not all of it but a lot. It's easy for us cause we can figure out what different words mean cause old English and the English now is so close together but when English isn't your first language or when you may not be very educated then what do you do? And I'm not trying to debate, I myself use a KJV Bible, although I was given a niv when I was 1 so I used to read that along side. But what spanish Bible? I have read the letters - and some of his notes re thinking of - NOT talking to - the saints- NOTHING Demonic or occult in it - simply the way English Catholics thought.
YOU are applying a cessationist 21st century Calvinist mindset to it - and coming up with an opinion that is a LONG way from his thinking on the theology involved.
YOU are like so many that ignore the FACT that words change meaning over time - we NO longer buy our groceries at the shambles - and by today's perspective you come up with concepts totally foreign to his way of thinking.
YOU need to use the thoughts and paradigms and words of the early 19th century - NOT the early 21st century. -
IN any event you can provide NOT a single reason to think his theology differed in any way from the translators of the KJB - OR for that matter that his theology would make a whit of difference in the translation.
"There is no information suggesting that Westcott sought or obtained contact with spirits, nor is there any indication as to his motives in his investigations. He lived in an age when skeptics, and in particular those who were denying miracles in the Bible, did not believe in any supernatural intervention in history. Westcott may have felt that clear examples of contact with the spirit world, while not to be condoned, would at least vindicate the existence of the supernatural. Such a motive would be consistent with his doctrinal orthodoxy and his clear and consistent defense of biblical supernaturalism against rationalist thinking."
"Regardless of his early thinking, Westcott reached the conclusion that investigations into spiritualism lead to no good, and for this reason ceased any further involvement. The words of Arthur Westcott, as recorded in his father’s biography, are instructive:
What happened to this Guild in the end I have not discovered. My father ceased to interest himself in these matters, not altogether, I believe, from want of faith in what, for lack of a better name, one must call Spiritualism, but because he was seriously convinced that such investigations led to no good.[5]"
      "
[5] Arthur Westcott, Life and Letters of Brooke Foss Westcott (London: Macmillan and Co., 1903), Vol. I, p. 119.
"In spite of all claims to the contrary, the leaders of the King James Only movement have produced no evidence that Brooke Foss Westcott personally participated in spiritualism. They have not even discussed the important difference between investigation and participation. They have produced no evidence that his investigations into spiritualism lasted more than approximately one year. They have not demonstrated that his motives in his investigations were sinister. They have not shown us that his conclusion that investigations into spiritualism lead to no good was anything but genuine. They have demonstrated that they are willing to twist words and falsify quotations in order to support their position. They have shown that they are willing to snip quotations out of context in order to manufacture support that the quotations would not otherwise provide. They have shown that they are willing to state something as fact for which they have no documentation and then to supply a footnote to material difficult to obtain that does not say that which they indicate that its says. We can be assured that they did not develop these tactics by reading the King James Bible, and we can also be assured that Brooke Foss Westcott was a far different sort of man than his accusers would have us believe."
      www.westcotthort.com/jmay/ghostlieguild.html#_ftn5
YOUR comment on genesis baffles me - again I assume you have taken the fantasy of some charlatan as fact - for Westcott was terribly orthodox on Genesis as far as I can discover.
Can you provide any evidence of his aberration re Genesis?
"I don’t think that I have even used the word “mystics”: it is so hopelessly vague, and it suggests an esoteric teaching which is wholly foreign to the Christian. But from Cambridge days I have read the writings of many who are called mystics with much profit. Every one who believes that phenomena are “signs” of the spiritual and eternal receives the name, and to believe in the Incarnation involves this belief, does it not? After all, the first chapter of Genesis is the Protevangelium, (Westcott, Life and Letters, Vol. II, p. 309,
IN any event, its all moot as NO accurate modern Bibles today use any of his/their material directly.
And even after 140 years or so - their methodology of grouping texts and MSS into Families is still used - and their work is still substantially solid and accurate.
AS opposed to the works of Erasmus - who may have done well for his day - but it was NOT for the GLORY of GOD, but for commercial gain - the 31 revisions of the TR are all different - so even the editors of the KLJ had to rely on textual criticism, but with a very small pool. TODAY we have 15,000 - NOT the 6 Erasmus had - texts from antiquity - in fact a MILLENIA older than Erasmus.
WE have some 15,000 examples of early Christianity and writing from 4 continents and 5 languages - there is NO need for W&H in modern translation.

I assume from your post that you have NOT actually read those books but accept rather the quotations of them from Biblical heretics.
That is not only DISHONEST but anti-Biblical. The ONE FACT that marks out KJO cultists and their "support" is intentional dishonesty - and I think you have shown to be such.
AN example - and there are many more:
Yes, but it was “not altogether” the reason - it was also because “he was seriously convinced that such investigations led to no good.”-

I understand where the communion of saints is in error...people that weren't saved when the died cannot be saved after they've punched that ticket....
However, to say anyone who says they heard the voice of God, talked with an angel or a saint who died and is in heaven aren't abiding under the authority of the Word is simply false...do you forget Jesus talked with Moses and Elija? An angel appeared to Zachariah to tell him he would have a son? An angel appeared to Joseph not only to reassure him that Mary is ok to marry, but also warned him in dreams...angels appeared and spoke to people throughout thw Bible, people audibly heard the voice of God throughout the Bible...it isn't an unbiblical belief and is partly why we need to test the spirits cus people can be led astray...if demons can manifest to people, why is it hard to believe angels can too?

I guess their Calvinistic doctrine doesn't apply when it comes to God's ability to hold true to Psalms 12:6. The bottom line is; if you believe that God meant what He said and says what He means, then you must choose one. I choose the KJV.

Because Psalm 12 is about preserving the people in the verses. Not his word. Every scholar, including the the KJV translators knew that..but assuming the Psalm was about preserving his words through writings. What was the perfectly preserved Bible before the KJV and which KJV is perfect? Since the KJV doesn’t perfectly match any Greek manuscripts perfectly, it has over 1800 differences from the Masoretic majority text, what was it preserved from? Did the Church not have a perfect Bible for over 1500 years?

@@shawnglass108 well, the context of the passage disagrees with your conclusion.
      "They speak vanity"....
"With flattering lips"...."with a double heart do they speak"...."the LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things"
So yes, the LORD gives a promise to "Set him in safety from him that puffeth at him" so in a sense you are correct, but what you have done is taken the pure words that the LORD spake and twisted the scripture to negate the effectiveness and perpetual preservation of his words.
Do you see the contrast between man's prideful vanity in speech and the LORD'S? This passage has EVERYTHING to do with the words of the LORD. The same God that is in this passage is the same God that speaks to me through his written word that I hold in my hand, but the modern translations change the "them" to "us" and seriously undermine the meaning of the text.
I could care less what "all scholars" have to say on the matter, and I could care less what the corrupted Greek text that is worshiped by these same scholars say.
As far as the pure words of the LORD prior to the KJV is concerned; of course they existed, but the same Roman Catholic Church that is behind these new translations persecuted and exhausted every effort to thwart the men and women who often gave their lives in protecting those words of God. Isn't it peculiar that the King James Bible came on the heels of that intense persecution, and the true history of how effective it became in spreading the gospel throughout the world is almost denied by today's Bible critics who promote their new translations while simultaneously critiquing the King James Bible using lies heaped upon lies to decieve the common plowboy? Sure sounds awful reminiscent of the time period leading up to and during the period that vast efforts were made to stop what God promised in the very passage that you deny. If I denied that, then how would I explain that the scriptures of the Old Testament existed before the New Testament was written? Where you and I differ is that I believe the Bible and trust it completely. You do not believe that the perfect words of God exist unless they are hidden somewhere and God chose to hide them from us. You trust highly questionable manuscripts over the Holy Bible. You trust modern scholarship while denying that the LORD God Almighty gave us His perfect words in the King James Bible in spite of how little faith that the translators had in themselves because they actually were humble men.

We can be decieved into holding some dogma or another based on how we interpret the scriptures or how weve been taught the scriptures. Or what is contained in the scriptures that should not be there. Ever ask yourself what is the word Easter doing in the KJB in Acts chapter 2? Why did the translators not just use the origional word Pasach/ Passover? Why do the translators in the KJB render the term ego eime in John 8:48 as I am and not add "he" in Itallics as they do everywhere else in the New Testament? Why does Jesus use the term I am the Alpha and Omega in Revalation 1:11 in the KJB and NKJB but not in any other translation? The earliest and most reliable manuscripts and the majority of manuscripts do not have Jesus saying this. What about 1John 5:7? There is much to say about this verse. most scholars agree that this text was forced into the scripture by the Catholic authorities against the will of Erasmus who was the one compiling the work. It is clear to me that in subtle ways the pure Word of God has been corrupted. It is up to us as believers to be Holy and pure in the sight of God. It is up to us to follow Christ with our hearts mind and soul loving one another in obedience to Christ. I believe in that way He can clear up any confusions we may have. Dr. Stringer, I am so very grateful for your work in the 'Lamp in the Dark' trilogy. I was rather ignorant of the differences between the translations of THE BIBLE and the true WORD offered in the KJV. The devil is cunning, baffling and more powerful than I imagined through false prophets. I would like to point out however a possible ignorance on your part, one which I carried as well. The Book of Mormon is another Testament of Jesus Christ. They refer to the Book of Mormon as a restoration of the Bible because the stories were taken to the Americas and were from the Americas and were never included in the original Bible from Israel. Mormonism is not a religion. The Church founded by Joseph Smith is "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints". They insist on using the King James Version of The Bible in much of their teaching. As I have done some thorough investigation into their story, I have found that Joseph Smith was visited by God himself and Christ Jesus before the Angel Moroni. After a year of attending this Church and understanding what their mission truly is, I will attest that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the restored Church of Jesus Christ. Their mission is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth and bring together the twelve tribes of Israel unto unity. (No kool-aid offered). With all sincerity and much gratitude, a faithful servant of Christ Jesus, Gabrielle

The trinity is not biblical. The trinity doctrine comes from pagan Egypt and Catholicism followed suit along with the harlot daughters of Revelation. God is not 3 persons of a pagan trinity. Look up the pagan origins of the trinity. Also, the Holy Spirit is not a person. The Holy Spirit is a Spirit/Ruach/Nephesh, that breathed into our nostrils to become a living soul. There is only one God with 3 parts, consisting of soul, body and and Spirit. We are made in God's image. We each have 3 parts as well, consisting of soul, body and Spirit/Ruach/ Nephesh, yet we are each, "one" individual. The only difference is, is that we are mortal and God is immortal.

16:30 marks the beginning of his discussion on Wescott and Hort.
    19:30 they are **unitarians.**
19:38 **Did not believe in a Trinity.** When they say trinity, they mean god expressed three different ways, but not Father, Son, Holy Spirit.
19:52 their universalism is clarified to mean anyone can be saved **whether they are a Christian or not.** Works can be generated to justify salvation.
20:09 **they believed evolution.** Hort called it "a new revelation that came from God."
20:16 they **believed in Christian socialism.** The influence of Christianity on the political world should create a perfect society where Christian socialism ended poverty...
20:35 they believed in the community of the saints. The presenter earlier says this is when someone of the Faith passes on but visits you before they take permanent leave... It's **contact with the dead**.
24:54 **five things they were trying to bring into the Church of England at that time in order to create a new Christianity.**
25:17 Hort addresses this directly. Two volumes. Life and Letters of Fenton John Anthony Hort. Two volumes for Wescott, also. Their sons published. **It's very different from their commentaries.** No examples are given however. Presenter has expertise here but did not offer any insight.
25:50 they talk about the resurrection but they what really mean is only His ghost appeared after death by crucifixion.
26:15 Wescott and Hort **considered the concept of verbal inspiration offensive.** This is the idea that God could dictate Scriptures.
26:45 WH were part of a massive denomination and deployed deception... Asked if they believed in Trinity they lied and did not articulate their position openly to avoid ruffling feathers.
27:05 salvation by faith. They blend in, but they **did not believe in justification by anything Messiah did on the cross.**
27:18 Hort wrote he could not see God's justification without every man paying the full price for his own sin. But they use all the classic words, even in commentary, meaning completely different things.
28:11 Hort was estranged from his mother as she was evangelical. Lifelong rift.
29:15 Hort would later write that he outgrew evangelical Christianity.
29:55 Were they involved in the occult???
30:15 the ghostly guild formed in college, to collect personal experiences with ghosts.
30:55 Hort admits he collected a number of stories though he himself never had any encounter.
36:30 of those five things to corrupt the Church of England. **They had to challenge the doctrine of verbal infallibility.** They did not believe the Bible was infallible.
36:50 **to challenge the doctrine of dictation.**
37:20 they believed **the received text had been corrupted.**
37:30 Hort believed Lucien gave us Trinity and blood atonement by deceit. Believers even Catholic, Church of England, misled, and now had come the time to 'restore' the text. Get rid of 'Lucien' corruptions.
38:06 he had not a single historical reference for Lucien! Amazing. Said it was something he felt. His book 'Ring of Truth' haha
38:55 Hort's 'inclination of truth,' meaning the truth is whatever feels right.
39:21 it was their own opinion! Hort wrote there was none more knowledgeable than himself.
39:52 Jessie Penn Lewis (she) wrote a book called War On The Saints. Welsh revival.
40:26 Whales. 1850s. Evans Roberts was preaching. Incredible time.
43:10 the sole authority is Scripture, anything else is contrary and inevitably a 'salvation by works' effort.
46:18 Their influence has stretched oceans, penetrating evangelical seminaries,
47:21 **what text are they translating from?** refuse to support a translation where they can't show you explicitly from **what text they are translating from.** Integrity of the received text. Lack of integrity in critical text. Don't settle for what amounts to people doing things in secret.
48:00 apparently WH can't ever explicitly say 'this is what we're translating from'.
49:40 what seminaries use WH translations? I wonder...
52:00 the presenter seems to rule out supernatural experience. It doesn't seem wise to me but this is about W&H...
54:00 "You could not get me to take a Philips New Testament seriously after reading the book Ring of Truth.
