- Your new Old Town Sportsman, Topwater, Bigwater, or Salty needs a few quick assembly steps before it's ready to go kayak fishing for the first time. The seat, PDL drive, rudder handle, and paddle holder need a bit of assembly when you take delivery of your new kayak. These steps are simple and I go through how to set up your new PDL kayak in just a few minutes. Unboxing the PDL 120.

Just wanted to echo another comment that this is the most concise video on the installation of these few parts that I could find. Most of the others were how to install fishfinders, etc. which I don"t need yet. Thanks very much!
Thanks. I appreciate the feedback. I have other videos on other modifications and fish finder installation. Like you said, this was meant to be just setting up the kayak for use after purchase/delivery. Glad it was useful to you.
Just received my Sportsman PDL 120 today. This was a very helpful video setting it up.
Awesome - thanks for the comment and enjoy your PDL!

Thanks - glad it was helpful!
Just got my boat today...super helpful. OT should save $ on printing the instructions and just include your video!
Thanks - glad to hear it was helpful!
Excellent overview! Thank you!
Great - thanks for the feedback!
perfect, exactly what I was looking for. thanks!
Excellent. I'm glad it was helpful.
Thank you for this. Only clear video i found on pdl install. Couldn't understand why it was clip locked and preventing me from dropping down
I'm glad it was helpful!
So you adjust the seat to properly position yourself from the drive rather than adjust the drive pedals like in the Hobie? Makes sense!
Yep, you got it. I am 5' 10" and I keep the peg in the 3rd hole from the front. There is a ton of room to move back for taller people.
@@FishingwithNat Yes these yaks are nice got my wife one now hunting one for me
@@mlangfordoutdoor Thanks for the comment. We love the PDL.
