HA, I guess I didn't edit out that first part - This was take two but I restarted so it would be as thorough as possible.
This is awesome Nick. You have no idea how long I’ve been waiting for a bow mount solution; excited to see what NKF comes up with!
I'm not sure if this was mentioned or not, but I used a 13/64" drill bit to do the holes in the base plate and that size hole fit the long screws perfectly. Great piece of engineering that should work with the NKF anchor stick mount to keep me stationary in one position for spring crappie fishing in the shallows this year. Can't wait...thanks!
As usual Nick you continue to deliver needed solutions. Love this product especially as I hated the way I was having to use my Anchor Wizard on my PDL120. Thanks for being accessible last Fall with a different issue installing the replacement rudder!!!!
Thanks, David. Let me know if you have any questions.
Very very nicely done guy's 👏 👍. Until the next one ✌🏽 Nick
Great work. Can’t wait for the bow mount! 👏👏👏
Great job as always Nick . The Anchor Wizard is one of my favorite accessories. I have 2 on my MK106. 1 for an anchor on the starboard side and another on the port side for my Yakgadget Quick Stop generic power pole . They both work perfect without the hassle and clutter of rope
Sounds like a good setup, Tim.
Awesome! Cool to see that you are a dealer for them too. What do you recommend for routing the anchor line around that back rod holder? Maybe a pad eye to bring the line to the outside of the rod holder, towards the water?
I plan to tinker with that and it will be included with the kit down the road. Had a ton of people who were emailing about the item and sent a few out already. Needed the install video uploaded so they could watch.
Very cool! I’ve been thinking about getting one
It’s a pretty cool system.
Hey Nick, if there's a rod in the back facing rod holder, does it interfer with &/or create wear/friction on the anchor line?
We’ve never had that issue in the past. It is possible though.
Do you have to replace the rod holder though? Or can I just install it on the exciting track to avoid any drilling??
You can install it on a track as well.
Damnit Nick !!! I thought I was done buying shit for my 120 lmfao~
It’s not possible lol
Same I've wanted the anchor wizard and actually said I'll wait for Nick to make a kit
So I have one. Seems like a bad idea on the salt water. If you can get it up fast enough you could roll over.
Mine came with my old town predator. But I’ve never used it.
I would like to hear what people think about it. Should I use it or sell it 😂
Buddy I recently purchased the kit for without risers and have found out I need risers to help with my back issues, what do I need to do without buying another setup for a seat with risers? Thanks in advance 🤘🏽
I would love to see a bow mounted anchor/wizard setup for my Hobie Lynx.
We will see what we can do.
@@NavarreKayakFishing now if you could convince the fishing kayak manufacturers to make a standard mounting point both on bow and stern for a miniature deckhand Milwaukee M18 battery powered anchor deployment rig with remote control from the cockpit, that would be tits!!!
What’s your turnaround time in shipping? I’m in Texas . Thanks in advance 🤘🏽
Everything is shipping within 24 hours right now. It will take 3-4 days to get to you.
@@NavarreKayakFishing your prompt response is appreciated 🤘🏽
Nick what if i have the high profile anchor wizard on a 106 powered by minn kota ? Asking specifically for the rear mount not the front mount ….i do not have seat risers on my 106MK
Thanks brother
How do you deal with the clusters of weeds that accumulate on the anchor
Everyone’s going to use a different anchor, fish in a different location, and have a different solution. First step is to simply avoid dropping it into large clusters of weeds.
Do you by chance sell just the front adapter plate with riser and hardware for the Sportsman 120PDL? I already have the Navarre t-track rear plate that holds the anchor wizard and my 360 light/flag pole
Send me an email and we will get a solution worked out.
@@NavarreKayakFishing thanks 👍
@@NavarreKayakFishing got the parts in the mail today and rigged it all up. Awesome product man and thanks for helping me out 🤙
@vibinwithlou8261 thanks for ordering.
Hey nick, I have a sportsman 120 pdl and I'm looking to get a anchor wizard. However, I don't want to get rid of my front rod holder as I use it A LOT. Got any solutions for that?
Good info!
But dang. Why do you use the drill like that 😂
Like what?
Is there an alternative mounting location? I really don’t want to lose my forward facing rod holder. Thanks
I was thinking the exact same thing, that's definitely my most useful rod holder right there
Hey Nick, I'm currently using an anchor trolley for my anchor. It helps keeping me positioned in a certain direction. If I buy the anchor wizard and mount it on the bow or the stern, how does this affect boat position? negative or positive
Thanks
Tommy, it will either allow you to point directly into the current or directly down current. Not as many options as the trolley.
I want a mount so that I don't have to give up my forward facing rod holder
That forward facing rod holder isn’t exactly in the best location depending on what notch your seat is locked into.
Same here, the forward-facing rod holder works really well for me.
BUT I'm thinking I might instead install the Navarre handle mount replacement, and mount a rod holder onto that and have it act as the forward-facing rod holder for when I'm changing lures.
I did a DIY for the Anchor Wizard crank on my 106PDL using a couple GT-175 Gen II tracks placed (sorta) side-by-side, but space is limited and the crank sits at an awkward angle.
Just a thought.
I’ll make a video showing how I normally store a forward facing rod as well. Everyone does it a bit different.
I use that rod holder all the time.
Some do, some don’t. It gets in my way personally.
How long is the rope on the Anchor Wizard?
45’
Hi what is that plate call before you mount your anchor on.
So just one screw goes into the kayak, and it goes in the hole that's already there?
Three screws go into the kayak into the holes that already exist.
@@NavarreKayakFishing Awesome, thanks!
For sure going to buy from your site, I've seen too many videos of people using your stuff not to lol
Thanks, Drew. Let me know if you have any questions.
The anchor wizard needs more line capacity and front mount would be the way to go
Front mount is in work. Rear mount was requested a ton and everyone has a different use.
I bought the kit for the 106mk and it did not come with the plate for the rear. Only the front piece?
The shallow water anchor screws are already straight on the 106MK. The rear plate in this video straightens the system out. Your kit doesn’t include the rear plate - it’s not needed. That’s why it’s cheaper than the other kits.
@@NavarreKayakFishingok thank you. Just making sure I wasn’t missing something.
Is that the low profile or regular sized anchor wizard?
It’s the low profile version.
What size are the machine screws that bolt the plate down?
1/4-20.
How about one for the big water132
It’s in work.
@@NavarreKayakFishing thanks Nic!!
Will this work on the MK106?
👀
This version will not but it’s in work.
This version will not but it’s in work.
its possible to install in in the front of the boat?
That’s in work.
I'll buy that mount as well. Since the back is easy on and off
I take that this doesnt work for the big water 132?
This one doesn’t but we will make it happen.
When you do please please send that video out or put me on the email list for new products. Ive been looking into this system for a little while and it looks like a christmas for myself will happen
Will do.
Can u just put this on a track?
You can mount it on the track but the line will run into the steering assembly.
@@NavarreKayakFishing have u ever tried the yak gadget side winder? debating on what i should get. was thinking of running something with no chute straight to an anchor trolley.
Will this work on the MK106?
This version will not. A version is in work.
