28:21-28:53 shivers all over my body! Words can‘t describe the way i love this series. The way how it simply is not „just a cartoon“ or whatsoever. This is a masterpiece that has influenced me in such different ways. I truly appreciate the work each one of these people have put in it and am so happy that michael and bryan have come up with such a unique idea!
It boggles my mind that they were able to come up with the bulk of the story in such a short time period. How they used their influences and made those seem so completely original is amazing. Greatest cartoon ever
I'm so confused why this hasn't gotten WAAAY more views... for as many fans as I know ATLA has accumulated over the years, I really thought this would've hit 100k by now! It's def' a worthwhile 30 minutes for anyone who loves the story/lore/characters as much as I do
I am a big knot of feels right now. God this show. And I feel like this documentary makes me like it even more because I see all the effort, time and heart that was put into Avatar The Last Airbender. Just, bravo, and like all those other fans said, thank you, Bryan and Michael, for creating this jewel!
I love Avatar the last Airbender & the creators They're coming back with the Avatar movie that is coming in 2 years but right now they're still drawing the characters & the scenes for the movie 🎥🍿
This is the 3rd time I'm watching this documentary and it never fails to get me teary-eyed. I've seen the entire Avatar series 3 times. The second season, 4 times. And the 3rd season almost 6 times. I must say that the show never gets old no matter how old you are or how many times you've seen it. To this day, it's still, hands-down, one of the best, if not, the best animated series of all time.
I remember watching the series premiere when I was just a kid; I believe I was 9. I was instantly hooked and just became infatuated with this amazing show and the world it created and all of the mature yet fun themes it had. Other shows in the future may echo the magic it brought, but there will never be a show quite like Avatar.
This seriously make me cry. It's such an amazing show and I love to see how the creators are so invested in the show. Seeing their passion is truly inspiring. They created such amazing characters that we have all grown to love and relate to.
a small part of their convo from the Nick Animation Podcast: Interviewer: Whats your favorite thing about working with the other guy in this room Bryan: I WILL SAY, I MISS WORKING WITH MIKE I'ts 2018 and i'm still crying!!!!
Without a doubt one of the most incredible shows to ever grace the airways. I still go by saying it's my favorite show no matter what. I'm glad everyone that worked on the show put so much effort into it and took it with so much respect and made it the way it turned out. They could've just made some bland cheesy nonsense to sell a toyline but they really made this something so genuine and powerful that it changed people. It did for me and so many others and I thank them for it and for Korra too.
Hard to believe next month will be the 10th anniversary of the pilot airing. Even harder to believe I was in 4th grade when it aired. This show is literally the most well rounded, perfectly executed animated series in my opinion. Can't believe it's already been 6 years since the finale aired!
Great documentary. Avatar is an amazing series for all ages and types of people. The lessons, the drama, the emotion, the characters, the spirits, the wide angle lens. It's all there as an amazing series. Thanks for making this.
Oh my gosh. That was absolutely amazing. To see all of the heart that goes into Avatar just really made me appreciate not just the show but everyone who made it happen... Thanks to all of them, I love Avatar and have met so many other people who love it too... It's just spectacular...
Someone needs to share this with whoever is in charge over the Netflix live adaptation. Especially the part @30:10. Netflix, please let Mike and Bryan have their freedom to make the show they wanted to make!
Inspirational Documentary. I Watched This Last Year And It Inspired Me A Lot More Then Avatar Already Did Because The Goals I Had/ Have. It's Crazy Seeing The Inside Of Art. All The Work And Effort They Put In. It Takes A Lot Of Work Consistency & Patience But When It Comes Natural And It's Something You Love... The Challenge Is Appreciated Because You Get Better With It. They're Authentic. This Video Helped Me Believe What I Dream & Plan For Is Possible. Honestly I Can Go On And On But Words Just Get In The Way Of My Pure Emotion & Expression. You Can Do Whatever You Believe In Your Heart. Balance Is Key, Balance The Physical With The Spiritual😌
I just got through watching all 3 Books for the second time and it's just such a brilliant piece of work. Before the credits finish at the end of Sozin's Comet I was already missing it and wanting to watch it all again. A true masterpiece of fantasy entertainment that I hope will be as timeless and revered in history as The Lord Of The Rings. Amazing concept, beautiful animation, excellent writing in terms of both plot and character, superb performances and incredible music make this a classic.
Re-watching this with the knowledge that Korra is going to be the last animated foray into the Avatar universe for a while, it's interesting to note that the first idea for Aang was in a more science fiction vibe. I would love it for their next project to be a futuristic type show as it would be totally different from Avatar yet could share the same heart at its core. My hope is they get to make an original feature film featuring old school 2D animation though I know that is unlikely since Hollywood studios don't support that kind of animation anymore. If they worked with a Korean or Japanese distributor though, who knows?
This is really fantastic. It really shows how much everyone cared for and even loved the show! The entire process was also very interesting. You got to see how Avatar went from a sort of sci fi show to a show set in the past. Avatar will always remain one of my favorite animated shows of all time.
Wow. Just.. wow. I've never felt any emotion that strong as I felt during the whole montage of scenes from season 3, combined with the breathtaking score..I can't literally express in words what this show means to me, this whole world that these amazing and talented people have created. I get chills throughout this whole video. This was my childhood. I made so many friends over the years from it and now my seven year old sister watches it with me. Hands down my favorite series of all time.
I love this series, and i really have to say, that this gives me hope for my own little creative team. We're young, unorganized and going into completely different directions and overall nonprofessional, but yet, this gives me hope. What a creator has to do,is care about the creation, the others, who do as well, will follow.Commercialising ones work only leads to corruption of the Idea.I am not saying that putting love into ones work makes it automatically good, but without it,it cannot become truly great.
I Will Change The Future With Stories & Bring Light & Insight To My Lost Culture. I Love You Ancestors, Your Will Is With Me & The World Will Know Your Hidden Culture & Truths.
Love & Light. Peace Passion & Balance To My Creators, StoryTellers, Artist, Truth Seekers, FreeThinkers, LightWorkers & Musician. We Will Work Together To Change The World & Give This World High Vibrational Perspectives Plus More. 1Love To The Universe And All Praise To The Most High. 💜Ase⚡Namaste💚
I agree iv'e watched the series of Atla and Lok like three times each i can admit lok kinda got a little boring a some parts but for Atla its really never gets old and it is the best animated series of all time.
All Avatar fans desire to know what happened to Aang and Katarra and the story of the new family they created together, same with Soka and his girlfriend, and if you look on the internet (forums/blogs), you will find millions of Avatar fans begging and pleading about whether Zuko finds his mum.
No it's not. If, by some chance, Aang and Zuko felt that way about each other, there wouldn't be anything wrong with it... unless you're talking about the age gap.
well i was thinking when i grow up i want to be a radiologist but now like since i have these ideas on how to make a series from this kid from the earth kingdom i wanna be an animator so yeah you know because of this series and the legend of korra i want to be a animator
Please speak for yourself, the FIRST season of the Legend of Korra may not have been as good as the ENTIRE season of ATLA, but it was still good. This is one Avatar fan that will never turn her back on something that Bryke makes.
please create seasons and episodes continuing from the story of the last episode of book 3of Avatar the last airbender. Hundreds of my friends and I are really disappointed that book 4 starts from 70 years after book 3!

To the creators and the people who worked on avatar : thank you, you people made my childhood, just thanks :)
"you're just rolling this huge tedious nerdy rock up a hill" LOL
AVATAR IS THE BEST SHOW THAT HAS AND EVER WILL EXIST!!!!!!!
Avatar and Legend of Korra were groundshaking and epic. I hope for more in the future.

So lucky to watched this great show 💛 Where’s my 2020 ATLA squad at?? 🤩
Just finished re watching hehe
17:56 YES. Finally someone who understands me! The old sage archetype is the single best archetype in any story!

the great thing about avatar is that you don't have to be a kid to enjoy it.
This show really has changed my life and the way I view the world. To me this is so much more than a show. I can't even put it into words.
Your words... They embody the feelings of a true Avatar fan. I couldn't have said it better myself.
That part made me so emotional and I don't even know why!
When the guy offered him that cabbage I burst out laughing.

Those Sokka costumes were pretty good
Avatar It's just bad ass!
Wow this is amazing! they are amazing! can´t wait for their next project!
this just makes me happy
But the absolute best part about this, is that it's not over yet! There's still 3 more seasons! Then after that we can panic...
I agree iv'e watched the series of Atla and Lok like three times each i can admit lok kinda got a little boring a some parts but for Atla its really never gets old and it is the best animated series of all time.
Oh, I also loved watching Brian get beat up by Sifu Kisu, haha :)
that last episode...gosh..i almost died
hOLY they put so much research into this.
28:18 the goosebumps, dear Lord the goosebumps!
Read the Promise comic series and the Search (the last part of which isn't out yet). They are the continuation of Aang's story.
This is amazing
22:39
MY CABBAGES!!!
28:17 - OH MY GOSH, THAT SOUNDTRACK.
22:40 the cabbage merchant 🤣
Can anyone tell me what the piece of music is from 28:20 onward?
All Avatar fans desire to know what happened to Aang and Katarra and the story of the new family they created together, same with Soka and his girlfriend, and if you look on the internet (forums/blogs), you will find millions of Avatar fans begging and pleading about whether Zuko finds his mum.
I really want to meet mike and bryan............
they seem like really cool humble guys
No it's not. If, by some chance, Aang and Zuko felt that way about each other, there wouldn't be anything wrong with it...
unless you're talking about the age gap.
what is the name of the tittle of the piano song in 21:56?
21:56 wtf??? This song is from Attraction park in the Netherlands where I come from. De Efteling haha.
No. De Efteling copied that song as well haha
Yo even Eric Forman loves Avatar 23:55 😂
Please tell me when will season 5 legend of Korra
Mike and Bryan said book 4 was their last. Unfortunately, it's likely book 5 will never see the light of day. But you never no what might happen.
So Sokka's blade teacher is real person.
Can anyone tell me the music around 9:00 ?
OKE ANY DUTCH PEOPLE HERE? DID YOU HEAR THE EFTELING MUSIC?! OMG NOSTALGIA!! :O 21:55 damn!!! I feel old.. :O
well i was thinking when i grow up i want to be a radiologist but now like since i have these ideas on how to make a series from this kid from the earth kingdom i wanna be an animator so yeah you know because of this series and the legend of korra i want to be a animator
At 10:25, is that an orb next to Bryan's head?
Dude looks like Michael Boulton
Awsome Video! :D
13:27 o.o he got some speed
Please speak for yourself, the FIRST season of the Legend of Korra may not have been as good as the ENTIRE season of ATLA, but it was still good. This is one Avatar fan that will never turn her back on something that Bryke makes.
Legend of Korra be like : whattt??? 24:40
I would to make a joke about the dislikes, but there's no one, so that says a lot about these two people
What's the music playing when they are showing clips from the finale?
I wish they took korra script and put it in avatar, hey its just a opinion =))
ANDREA ROMANO????? O.o
NOOOO WAAAY O.o
Thats why the voice actors were so damn great.
who is the voice actor at 21:19? which character did he play? I need to know because of reasons :>
A quick look through all voice actors seems to suggest Jack DeSena, or Sokka!
please create seasons and episodes continuing from the story of the last episode of book 3of Avatar the last airbender. Hundreds of my friends and I are really disappointed that book 4 starts from 70 years after book 3!
Oddly enough there is an Aang/Zuko pairing.
also, I like how they were worried about the fighting being inappropriate for a kid's show and now the show features suicide lol. what happened?
what commercial is this music in? 29:04
State Farm. The Chris Paul twins. Stephen Curry was in it too. That's all I remember.
oh shit you're right, thanks man
I SAW MUGEN IN THERE OFFICE!!!
Are we not gonna talk about @21:44?
