This is Eric Ewazen's dynamic, wonderful "Fantasia for Seven Trumpets," commissioned by the Metropolitan Trumpet Ensemble. This fantastic recording is from the 1999 album “Music for the Soloists of the American Brass Quintet and Friends,” a collaboration recording with some of the best classical trumpeters around the USA.

I played this piece my senior year of high school for State solo and ensemble competition and 12 years later it’s still my favorite trumpet ensemble piece. Absolutely beautiful.
