- It was my first time in the city of Vitoria but it didn't all go as smooth as I would have liked it to go.

think this may be my next visit
You know the place is all right when you get to the beach and you can hear Guns and Roses (sweet child of mine) in the background!! 🤟🤟
Yeah it had good vibes there. I went back the next day to take a look and it was pretty busy. You have to get there early otherwise the sun is gone by 2:30 to 3:30pm.
Man... The colors really pop with that camera in the light... 'Magical' ;)
Yeah it's definitely my favorite camera to vlog with. It's going 8 years strong 💪
Espirito Santo was used as a "GREEN FENCE/WALL) during the colonial period of Brazil in a attempt to stop pirates from getting to the gold and diamonds in the Minas Gerais state (bordering to the West) and for most of it`s existence it received very to no incentive to grow (for a short while a royal decree prohibited the development of new roads and or towns/settlements in the area). The peoples of Esprito Santo sometimes are seen as cold to strangers, when in fact we are so used to doing things by ourselves with no outside influence that all most people here want to do is just go about their day. I like to think of Espirito Santo as a New Hampshire kind of state.
Very interesting. Thanks for sharing this info. I could see myself living there.
@@nickmusttravel A lot of people do that after visiting for the first time. There has been a large influx of people from other states moving to Vitória/Greater Vitória. Espírito Santo is the 4 smallest state in Brazil but it has the second largest natural gas reserve in Brazil, second largest producer of coffee in the country (some of the best in the world), second highest HDI (human development index) in Brazil, the second best place to open a business, second longest living population of Brazil, one of the best places to raise a family in Brazil,.... Those who visit are surprised at the quality of life here. It has a LOT of problems, but that seems to be an ever growing problem world wide today.
@@RandomNPC001 I could definitely see in person all those points you mentioned. It really is one of the places that best resembled my home town way back when Toronto used to be a very livable and affordable place to be. Let's hope Vila Velha, Vitoria and all of Espirito Santo does not go down hill.
@@nickmusttravel 🤞🤞
Sorry, I have a tendency to post comments as I watch the videos. There should be a sign telling you the water`s quality at the beaches, since they are tested every week. In the rainy season the quality tends to go down a bit because of all the stuff carried by the rivers from upstream and are deposited at the beaches!!
Yeah I saw the signs. Feel free to write as many comments as you want. There are no rules here 😎
Nice shots
Thanks man! 👍
@@nickmusttravel no problem... u watching that 'wojak' guy... he's doing the 4x a day upload thing.... looks like it games the TH-cam algorithm... thoughts?
@@LedZippo99 Yeah I watch some of his videos because I agree with him on a ton of things. Glad he got 1K recently. I wish I could upload 4 times a day or at least once a day or something would be good lol.
@@nickmusttravel Good example of TH-cam liking regular uploads imo
@@LedZippo99 It could very well be. I will post these last 3 vids I have from my trip much sooner.
Where is Vitoria in relation to Rio?
It's north east of Rio and in fact they are neighboring states.
1 hour flight or 8 hours driving depending of where you in Rio! Funny fact a lot of people from the bordering towns between Rio and Espirito Santo prefer to spend time in the beaches of Espirito Santo over Rio`s!
@@RandomNPC001 Maybe because it is less crowded? The beaches are decent in Espirito Santo. I really enjoyed it there.
@@nickmusttravel Could be, but during summer it gets a little crazy. The city of Guarapari for exemple goes from 150k people to over 1 million during the summer. 🤯
Upside down V
what do you mean your lunch wasn't a healthy meal? lol What is a healthy meal for you? Brazilians eat the most well compared to the rest of the world. Especially the US.
It was ok. I like to eat a lot of salads and Brazilians don't really eat a lot of salad especially in Rio.
