I spent a year in a village named Ovar, between Oporto and Aveiro. Although, unlike yourself, I had no camera. I worked in a factory there Alongside the locals. A very interesting culture and people.

I specially liked your video. Found strange a canadian speaking portuguese so well but them i supposed you had stayed in Brazil for some time... I found your somewhat rough manner was completely overshadowed by your interest in people with need and the way you were moved by them was special and i know you were really interested in them. I am sorry if a seem a bit old fashioned ( almost 60 now) but you have a very gentle heart, thank you for the walk in beautiful Lisbon.

I was born in Petrópolis, still live here after 24 years of age. I hate it here. Its a city that doesn't grow nor moves forward. It is still the same as of 30 years ago and it lacks basic infrastructure in many places. It is a very high cost of living city too, which makes it an all rounder bad city to live in. Don't let this video fool you.

Nice video! Not everyday i get to see my hometown on youtube. On the topic of safety some people mentioned to you, most of the crimes and shootings happen on the other side of the river at the start of the video, sometimes gang wars break out and things get bloody, other than that there's not much to do as you mentioned.

He only walked on the main street, near Pinheiro Torres! He didn't even enter the neighborhood. If he enter there with the camera, he would leave without the camera and without clothes. In Europe people dont like to be filmed. Actually, in Portugal its forbiden to film people, even in public places or in coffes like he did. You cannot do that here. Respect our culture. This is not 3rd world Brazil.
