Wesley, a tip for your auto punch tool. Drill a golf ball the size of the diameter of your punch end and epoxy it on, it's so much easier on the hands for multiple holes. I also use the golf ball trick for files that are missing the handles. Thanks for the videos.
Great project, and very well presented. Been working on a couple of similar ideas, also made of aluminum, for awhile. But have to go back to the drawing board to recreate the effect you obtained by making it with multiple sections of aluminum instead of one. I'm thinking one based on Flash Gordon's Spaceship is going to look very nice in my den. Thank you for jump starting my thinking Process.
that really looked good. It goes from good to great when you no longer recognize the individual materials used but see the final project. All this video needed to be nominated for some great award is a chocolate milkshake. (large).
What awesome gifts and video! Any chance you'll make the drawing/templates available for both? Really enjoy all of your videos, keep the great content coming!
That's really cool! What did you wind up using around the edge of the plywood submarine shape? Some sort of laminate? Or did you just paint it? Next time, you could add some subtle color shifting in your lights if you were to use BlinkyTape from BlinkinLabs.
why did you frost the Magnifying glass when you put a piece of frosted acrylic in there already? not judgemental just wondering..Great work by the way!
Utterly Brilliant build, I have an auto centre punch and I use it a lot, but if I have to do a lot of punching I use a plain one with a hammer, I find it quicker and easier on the hands.
Should 'a been a pink submarine for the girl! But, kidding aside, great piece o' folk art! The only reason I didn't get into the navy back in '64 was the recruiting office was closed for lunch but the Air Force was open... Aim High!
Right? I was going to hook up my wall adapter, but couldn't find the bit that went into the battery compartment. As for sounds, www.freesound.org/ is a great resource. Search for "sonar."
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahohohohahahoho...this is the funniest video I've ever seen. Fabulous sound effects!!!!! Always a Treat, pun intended. Thank you so much for lighting my day. I needed this big time. You're always a joy to watch you work and I've learn so much from you.

Do you know Pocket83?
Watching you hammer those pins in fast forward mode was oddly satisfying.
I'm a tug boat captain, and you just gave me a hell of an idea.
The lights look cool, the frosting was very effective.
Love the project! And then I read the description, and the idea of making a rocketship version is intriguing.
Here's the rocket version:

The speeded up hammering sounded very much like riveting. Another win for sure!
I really enjoy your projects. And especially like that you show your mistakes. Many Makers do not. I like the lessons learned.
This is such a cool project and it turned out great! I love your creativity!

Your editing has been getting better and better, this video was really enjoyable, keep it up!
Thanks! More to come!
Awesome job. I think you should have painted an eye behind that lens on the periscope :)
This is awesome!. I would have loved something like this when my kids were younger.

I just used some light gray melamine edge banding. It blended well with the aluminum. Thanks!
I see no tin cans were harmed in the making of this tin can submarine...🤔
Awesome project!!! keep it coming Sensei!
LOOKS AWESOME. ..VERY COOL.
Even the low view old videos are great! Should keep taking off to 50k, 100k+ I'd say

another level! so clean
Gorgeous!
5:42 faster than the Wandel hammer. Kudos.
That is bloody gorgeous
How did you learn all of this stuff? And who are the 4 people not liking this video???
Utterly Brilliant build,

did you leave the rivets brass or give them a once over with silver spray paint?
Such an outside the box imagination, truly amazing.
Nice !!!👍👍
GREAT JOB ! Neat idea. No talking, so you didn't need SUB titles. Lol⚓
Do you have a template for the sub pieces you can share?
wow! where did you learn to hammer like that in 5:40 man!?!?
he was using an electric hammer. At Harbor Frieght, I think Lol

Sal V.....LOL! Pretty good! Have A Super Week!.....Gus
hahahaha
Lol thought my battery was dying for a sec.
You should have painted it yellow
Need to invest in a quality nuclear-powered camera so you don't run out of charge halfway through.
Where did you get the "pong!" sonar sound?
Right? I was going to hook up my wall adapter, but couldn't find the bit that went into the battery compartment.
As for sounds, www.freesound.org/ is a great resource. Search for "sonar."
Wish it was yellow tho

You're always a joy to watch you work and I've learn so much from you.
Thanks! I'll try to be more consistent with uploads.
It's flat. That was disappointing 😞.
Misleading title. Submarine is neither made of tin or cans. Also is not a functional submarine. Disappoint.
there wasn't used one single tin can? Wtf is up with people and misleading titles!? (frustration emoji)
I never meant literal tin cans. I mean, what kind of clickbait would that be?
Tin can?
No.
That's awesome
