I have a theory. When Steven put himself in a bubble, he tried to prevent his corrupted self into hurting Boyfriend and the others and corrupt them as well. This shows that Steven still has a little control of his body because unlike the others in this mod, his talking is less distorted and more easy to understand. The corruption is aware of this, so it uses Spinel to remind Steven to know his place and keep him in line. In some parts of his song, he sounds like he is laughing and crying in pain at the same time. Perhaps he is… A) Trying to get ahold of his body again but the corruption is preventing him with Spinel. B) He is trying to tell Boyfriend and the others to run away when they still can before Steven has no control of his body anymore.
