I love that some of Steven’s songs resemble his actual songs from the movie. You can hear Change in Save the Day, both Change and Happily Ever After in Glitched Gem, and then you hear Change again in The Change. Pretty sick!

He’s saying “I don’t get it” you can hear it in the movie when Spinel is holding him over the edge of the injector and he tells his speech
in the song first song hes still fighting the corruption but in the second song the corruption takes over..
Don't get me wrong, the mod is really good, just sad that steven has no transformation when he says this isn't a game.... all the other times it was shocking that he transformed and it was really cool.

The way some of these characters act (Steven's normal voice partially coming through in The Change, Finn's up and left sprites looking less aggressive, Jake's last note in Brotherly Bond having a green outline) makes me wonder if maybe at least some of the toons are still there, aware of what's happening and trying to fight the corruption unsuccessfully. Tough to imagine a worse kind of hell.

Fun fact:
The health drain in Overworked was so strong that Mordecai's losing icon is unused
Another thing: As shown in TOPGameplay's gameplay in OVERWORKED, if you do FC the song, you could see Mordecai's losing icon for a SPLIT-SECOND at one part (the losing icon is the same as his regular icon but more glitched and has colored X eyes)
I like the newer character designs for Finn and Jake.
For Finn, it almost seems like he's trying to fight off (and maybe resist?) the corruption that's plaguing him. (Left and up sprites.) Then in the next moment, it depicts (in my opinion) how even one of the mightiest heroes in Ooo can give in to this corruption. (Right and down sprites.)
That's probably the reason why I like the "Lost Legend" song so much. It really gives off the feeling of genuine danger.
As for Jake...
He looks and feels like an actual Menace. Like, any notion of who he previously was, is gone. And what we're left with is the potent husk of a being shrouded head to toe in bloodlust. This thought is thanks to the left sprite, mixed with the screaming, and maybe even the funny dead sliver reference. However, the down sprite takes away from that feeling a little ngl.
But on a more sober note, I get the appeal of the previous designs. There were more in character. But that's kind of the reason why the newer sprites suit them best. These designs show all that's left of the heroes and legends we once looked up to. Now, senseless creatures hellbent on aiding the spread of the corruption and perhaps taking a life or two along the way. (Fair warning, I'm not totally sure how this "virus" and/or "corruption" thing works. So, if the infected actually are aware to some extent of what they've become and are doing. Then my last sentence about "mindless creatures" holds no water, lol. Nonetheless, I stand by what I said. These designs work best, in my opinion.)

I'm my opinion the Jake animation is the only thing I didn't like because there is less movement like the previous one, in the real show he moves like a rubber band, but this one doesn't feel the same because it was more creepy but didn't focus on the body movements. I think they should just keep the creepy face and add more body movement.

With how dangerous these things are, I like to think BF has some sort of power that *forces* anyone he wants to battle him as his form of combat if it isn't voluntary. And their ability to sing really comes from their base strength rather than their actual ability to sing. Or it could be both. I dunno, better than thinking people just sing randomly I guess
Gf used her powers to make a (force field) that will protect him from the corruption unless he loses a rap battle but the corruption is very smart so they try to beat survivor bf and fail

Interesting that the only song in which BF is put into Losing State(his icon changes) is Blueballed. Every other Glitched Character gets close to it, but never quite reaches it unlike Glitched BF who routinely puts BF into a Losing State
Edit: I saw somewhere that a popular theory in this thread of the game is that Our BF has some sort of barrier placed on him by GF before she goes missing and it's *that* that's preventing the other Glitched Toons from actually forcing a Loss on BF. Given what little we know of the Glitch, it's probably possible that through BF's encounters with the other Toons, it's managed to cobble together this malformed BF that's actually able to circumvent that barrier and force a Loss
On the first steven song, You see a little glimpse of it
I mean, it literally looks like BF nearly puts BF at 0 health at worst, which'd make perfect sense since you could argue BFs do that to their enemies as they rap, and YOUR BF is able to do it back to them due to also being a BF.
It does make sense. Because you're fighting a BF, who has the ability to do that to their opponent. But you're also a BF, so you can do it back to them.

How Boyfriend works is that you have to beat him in a rap battle and no disturbance should or can be made.
I think what I like the most is that Finn and Steven appear to be actively fighting back AGAINST the corruption. Finns swinging is random and without coherent rhythm, and Steven's shield is still out, with both occasionally seeming to try and form coherent sentences, with Finn perpetually stuck in catching bodies, whilst Steven says proper words.
Jake's also trying. Spinel...I dunno about her.
The fact that finn says quite in no hero sends chills down my spine, because it still makes you think that they are still somewhat themselves
Its also a reference to the original Pibby video that sparked all this. In it Pibby goes thru Adventure time and learns the word quiet with Finn and Jake.
Overworked is underrated in my opinion. Everyone is talking about Steven and Jake and the others. Mordecai literally SLAPS

Fun fact: Finn was actually extremely close to beating his corruption

Look at his notes in corrupted hero then in together forever, his notes are coloured in together forever, whereas in corrupted hero they aren’t, the only reason the fnf corrupted characters have coloured is because that’s where they came from, other than Finn in together forever and Steven in his first song, no other cartoon character has coloured notes

It manages to create this weird otherworldly vibe no other song in the mod can replicate and it really gives you that feeling of something good turned bad, like a feeling of *r e p e n t a n c e* almost.
Plus they included the triple-trouble "omph yeah ah-ha!" bf does at the end of certain turns and it really just helps fuel the thought that you're being attacked by the same little guy you were playing as in all those other mods

Fun fact: Finn's voice actor grew with the character and his voice changed by the end of the series. In this mod, corrupted Finn In the first couple of songs is season 1 Finn. Meaning still high tone of voice. By the last couple songs, his voice gets deeper the more you play, just like the Finn in Adventure time.
Steven's corruption was amazing, I'm scared to think of how the "She's Gone" quote would work if you got rid of Spinel and he changed phases

I like to think that when the lights go out and they start talking is when they're trying to fight off the glitch the most, since it is almost there in every song. It's like they're still there and actively trying to fight it, but for some reason it's not working.. I also think the morbidness in me sees the "Great minds..." is the beginning of a convo Jake and Finn were having, and "Listen up! You better stop doggin around! You're gonna mess up goliad!" is when the glitch started attacking in the form of one of the people of Ooo.

IMO it's the glitch trying to take over. Sudden black screens and palette changes are usual in glitched games

Together Forever is honestly my favourite by far in the songs. It's so intense and definitely fits the final song theme for their week, Damn amazing job on this mod! I didn't even know this was the demo till I finished it that alone speaks for quality if this mod

I have a theory. The bf we started off the pibby mod with, got over confident and wind up getting himself corrupted. And since he has the ability to travel to different universes [Since the glitch can use the ability of whoever is consumed by it] he traveled to his world and corrupted [Again] his friends in that world. Pibby was lucky enough to get away in time before bf attack her. He has the ability to rap anyone, and the opponent can not escape until they win.

I feel like the real Steven is inside the corrupted Steven and that he’s calling and saying actual words like “this isnt a game” and the corruption mimicked the words he said which is really creepy.
True... Maybe he was refusing to lose but everyone else didn't and fought back when it was too late.

So the "Story" as I see it:
The Glitch starts by infecting one person and spreading from there. In Beach City it's Steven, which is why his level is the tide closing in but mostly fine. Steven's already resisting because of his gem's healing, but eventually Spinel comes and complete's steven's corruption, leading to them both tag-teaming BF. It's hard but eventually the glitch is stopped in Beach City with only a couple of casualties.
Next is another CN world, where they seem to catch it just after infecting Mordecai. He's stopped quickly now that BF has an idea of how to handle it. No other casualties.
He heads home only to find it in ruin. Skid and Pump are both infected, along with Pico. But that's weird since they should be able to also fight it off. That's when the Glitch BF puppet shows up, explaining how they were corrupted: they thought it was him and let their guard down.
They regroup and head to OOO, only to find it completely overrun by the glitch. The two heros have already fallen to it, and as he's taking on an even fiercer duo that are actually used to fighting as a team, he gets confronted by the source of the corruption and the reason why the world fell: Princess Bubblegum. She's the most corrupted so far, with an entire arm seeming to be nothing but the glitch. And since she has one of the power gems, it's hard to activate items like the enchiridion. She's dealt with, but in true heroic fashion Finn and Jake are unwilling to give up and come after BF in a series of relentless encounters. By this point the glitch has completely snuffed out what's left of either of them, leaving behind a pair of particularly powerful puppets.

You do realize the gun in Pico’s song is full of the corruption so if BF grabbed it after the song then he’d be corrupted.

I dont know if it's just from the fact the glitching could be effected by finn and Jake's bond of being considered brothers but it's obvious that even when finn loses Jake tends to help out and they both work together gives the slight feeling that this corruption takes traits of those 2

We fight Steven first. I forgot the gems accompanying Steven, was it, Pearl, Amethyst, and Garnet. So i think Amthyst, being the most careless, accidently gets corrupted. Pearl notices too late, and also gets infected. Garnet, Steven and Spinel were fighting off the corruption but Spinel fell and Steven was protecting Garnet and also fell due to being tired, hence most of the characters having the tired stance. Eventually everyone got corrupted but steven was just recently corrupted ,so we was trying to fight back. Now after we encounter Mordecai, also being careless gets corrupted, and he is standing straight, so he didnt fight back because he was probably caught off guard. Then we travel to the Main FNF universe. We are a sort of Pico BF, so we could hold back, but the FNF main got corrupted, hence why we see skid n pump, pico, and Main BF. After that we find Finn and Jake, which held up a good fight, but eventually fell. You saw how Finn's stance and Jakes stance was, Finn fought until he was out of strength, and Jake fought until he fell to his knees. Also we meet PB, who apparently was hold a blaster which got engulfed in the corruption. Thats basically the plotline, hope they add corrupted shaggy or corrupted bubbles into the mod

I at least like to make up my own kind of lore, like Why is there a corrupted bf or where's GF or why is there two BF. It's kinda fun making theories about this kind of stuff, y'know

i like how in Steven's week to my knowledge doesn't have any reference to garnet, you can see amethyst's whip, pearl's spear and the sword but no reference garnet's gauntlets. Her enhanced perception probably let her see this coming or was able to help her avoid the corruption enough to escape

I honestly just saw any character that's corrupted as dead
the thing is,no hero wasn't even a song,it was a bunch of garbled screams.
Ironically enough I too really liked no-hero, yeah, it probably sounded like shit, I kinda felt that too but not as much. It's also fun to play both sides in my spare time because I love breaking my fingers.

What I would see if the glitch encountered the corruption has 2 outcomes
1 the corruption is somewhat immune to the glitch’s control, they are still glitched, but are still under the corruption s control.
2 The glitch uses the corruption as a booster, the corruption has been seen in animations to make one stronger, so it would either use them as a boost by corrupting all of the other glitches, as a easy way to spread the glitch, or as a boost to there numbers.

Tbh, this mod is really good.
It has really good songs, my personal favourite song of this mod is "overworked", the rythim of that song is cool and kinda hyped up, and i LOVE mordecai's voice on his song, he sounds really good.
One thing i would really like to see in this mod again is the transformation on the song "The change" when steven says "This isn't a GAME!" .
But overall this mod is AMAZING!
Together Forever, Corrupted Hero and Glitched Gem are my favorites.

I enjoyed this massive collaboration and I've enjoyed seeing your shit for a little while now man. I will say I did enjoy the other sprites for fin and Jake but that's just because it's what I was used too, both are fine. Keep up the good shit man.

Um your somewhat correct the bf we play as in this mod is also from this mod called Friday night shootin it's a mod that has certain characters for newgrounds (mostly characters from the pico school series) you play as pico in that mod and bf is basically in gfs role so yeah
