7:37 the hip abduction machine already has constant tension (at least the one in the gyms I frequented always do). It's the addition of the hip circle that makes it variable tension. Ignoring hysteresis from the rubber, any force due to an elastic process increases the more you deform the object (it's kind of a generalisation of Hooke's Law) this means that adding a band in that way will put the maximal load close to the point of peak contraction.

I think building glutes also has a lot to do with genetics. I’ve seen girls killing themselves at the gym to build a booty and still have little to no definition or a pan cake ass. Then there are girls who hardly work glutes and have the most muscle mass and definition. Some girls just aren’t as blessed as others! I myself workout 4 days a week and don’t eat meat and have grown my gluts over a few months. It’s a blessing

Ashley Haley I mean you want a little meat on your bones you know, it’s muscle but also fat that makes a bum look good. I think a that constant exercise is burning fat of the booty, so I think just do less and add more weight, idk I’m no expert, just my theory.

I have been putting bricks in a 1 wheeled wheel barrow, & fast walking up & down the hill on the road in front of my house. (1 quarter mile down, 1 quarter mile up) While going up, I focus my attention on my glutes by flexing them with each stride/step I take. This exercise makes them burn like HELL!!! (if you really want to be creative, you can shoulder shrug throughout the entire wheel barrow training process)
Also, I put 25 lbs-45 lbs in a hiking backpack, & fast walk my treadmill at max incline. (setting of 10 degrees) I also focus on flexing my glutes with each stride/step as I go. The burn is real folks!
Jeff is very blessed to have you on his team, Ms Stephanie! Great video.

I get the sense that glute size also has something to do with body fat. If you're naturally petite and lean, your glutes can only grow so big. They can get bigger with muscle development, but the butt people seem to desire in fitness is usually either achieved by surgery, or people naturally storing more body fat in their butt, then building muscle on top of that.

Wow! You really are a scientist at heart! I really appreciate it though because you do all the research and we run with the results. Thanks lady, and keep up the good work!

On your glute bridge you need to make sure the nape of your back starts off flat before you thrust , it hits the glute better :)

I purchased a typical chin/pull up bar that fits in your door jamb for the nordic curls. I just put it lower in the door frame so I can put my feet under. I had to put my squat sponge around the bar too, because it hurts the back of my ankles without the padding. It lets me do it without bugging my wife to hold my feet down though :-)

I wish that at the end she would’ve gave an overview of the ones she thought were the best instead of randomly saying them throughout the video. Great video tho!!! I’ve seen nothing like this before ❤️

Good way to do nordic curls by yourself is to set up a heavy barbell and pin your feet underneath it and use plates to hold it in place. I usually out 100kg on the bar and it doesn't budge st all (I weight 70ishkg)

my hack for the nordic curl is to use a doorway chin up bar. mine is adjustable, you could move it to any height on the door frame. my issue w/ nordic curl is that it hurts my knees so bad that i don't know if 1) whether i am doing them right 2) worth the pain. it takes days to recover.

You’re telling us a slight change of a traditional move could make a huge difference in building up the maximum of our target muscle or rather training different part of my muscle groups.

Great video! That said, you have not known pain unless you've tried Bret's 8-8-8, so 8 single leg, 8 the other leg and 8 regular hip thrusts!

I like heavy kettlebell swings. They always get my glutes firing. I actually prefer them more than hip thrusts because they just feel so right

@@christianman5093 .........you realize your "holiness" rn is sinful in the eyes of God. There is a time and place and ALSO, you're not getting anyone on board with Christianity by coming out the gate like that. But who knows, maybe you aren't a man of Christ. Maybe you are a man for evil and WANT to push people away from Christ. Either way, get it together, my guy.
