I can’t think of a single person that argued Torna was unnecessary. As for Future Connected, I KNEW the Fog King was gonna be relevant eventually. I had faith.
There is a reason i called the video like that. There were so many people saying that's it's the usual cash-grab cut content DLC that doesn't add anything to the main game or anything in general (i know, i wonder how some people are living their lifes lol) There are some Screenshots in the Video "I hate this Generation of Gamers". I remember a few on Nintendo Life that were rather toxic towards any DLC for Xenoblade.
Oh this aged beautifully. Now with xenoblade 3’s dlc showing Future Connected influences, Future Connected was actually important all along, we just didn’t see it yet.
This man at it again with the trailers ! And that music transition at 1:30 was so smooth and perfect, it felt so natural when they blended 👏👏👏 The trailer was very well put together ! Can't wait for 3's DLC
2:20 that transition never gets old. from this happy battle theme to a menacing boss theme with some expertly placed voice lines encapsulating all the right xenoblade elements 10/10
Fun fact: You can turn off the button challenges in the options. It feels weird not to do it during specials during gameplay, but it'll make the screen less cluttered.
I think Torna is mostly useless, I can appreciate the improvements to the gameplay but from a storytelling standpoint there's nothing in Torna that cannot be gleamed from playing base 2, I think base 2 simply spoils too much about Torna to make it truly necessary to play to understand the greater context of the story. With Future Connected it is necessary to play it because it is a sequel so the stuff in it is not in base 1. Future Redeemed works a lot like Torna in that it is a prequel but unlike base 2 base 3 does not spoil Future Redeemed, in fact it is very careful to keep it as separate from the story as possible, making the story of Future Redeemed more intriguing.
I legitimately played Torna from top to bottom(before 2 infact) and it's really not all that when it comes to being important for the storyline-experience. It's still a good game that you should play, but the only time it actually came in to enhance my experience was when Mik went out with a bang.
I think i talked about a bit, or showed multiple comments about people saying exactly that in the "I hate this Generation of Gamers" video. This mentality is unfortunatly not rare. "I've never played the DLC, but i hate them for putting unnecessary extra-story behind even more money to wastefully spend. Gaming Industry is going down" Like ffs man...
With the context of future redeemed, future connected still seems a bit irrelevant, it introduces us to the fog beasts, which are a bi-product of Alpha, who isn't even a thing as it's still in its core crystal at this point, all it really serves is to introduce us to the monado rex+ and give a bit more screen time to Melia, which is nice, but not really needed to understand xenoblade 3 I would go so far as to say that future connected makes future redeemed even more confusing because of the fog beasts, as I've said, in future redeemed it is implied that they are a creation of Alpha to aid him in killing everyone that is not meant to come with him to the new world he wants to create, so why, when Ontos core crystal hasn't even been discovered or used yet, are fog beasts appearing in future connected and why do they want to destroy the world that Alvis (Ontos/Alpha) helped Shulk create, it just doesn't make much sense to me
In Future Redeemed, A says they are created from the black fog which we know in 3 is from the worlds attempting to merge and cancel out. Since they're a byproduct of the merge they had no ties to Alpha until he took control and made them his servants. In Future Connected the Fogbeasts and the rift are early cracks in the world as it attempts to merge with XC2's world.
It seems more like the Black Fog and the Fog monsters aren't really creations of Alpha but rather a reaction of the two worlds' collision, which is why we have the annihilation events which are also triggered by the Ouroboros forms and why Mobiuses cannot see through the Black Fog and also why Alpha can control them. But, I still agree with you that FC isn't really that important in the grand scheme of things unfortunately.
@@mds_main I agree to an extent, the black fog exists after alpha is defeated and it's indeed implied to be a reaction of the two worlds colliding as said by rex and shulk in the ending of FR however, fog beasts in specific are very confusing, because they start appearing after alpha is found, not awoken, but found and cease to exist after they are defeated So the only conclusion I can really come to at this point is that the black fog are a product of the two worlds yearning for each other and the fog beasts are a product of alpha, however, again, this generates the confusion of why fog beasts existed in FC as alpha hadn't been found yet, maybe as a warning that he still exists, as their core crystal was probably already at the beach or something, but it's still a bit confusing and FC just seems to add unnecessary confusion to a very well written story
Believe it or not, but when the DLC for XC3 was announced, i saw quite a few comments saying that the DLC will be another unimportant cashgrab that's way too lewd anyways. If its just 1 person, whatever... but that wasn't a rare comment :/
Im personally not a fan of neither one. Torna is admittedly better than Future Connected but none of them are great standalone experiences on their own imo. Good DLCs for sure. But not even remotely comparable to XC1 and XC2. Some people say BS like 'Torna is better than XC2'...Yeah right :D
well even though it's a nicely done Tailer, this montage changes nothing. You just see stuff happening with no context, which works for advertisement but not really beyond that. though I'm not one of the people who think that those additions are unnecessry, Torna has way better Gameplay and arguably better character focus than Xenoblade2 and Future Connected enables us to explore Bionis' Shoulder, which got cut from Xenoblade1. I'd say as additions they are or should be unnecessary to be able to enjoy the Base Games.
I can’t think of a single person that argued Torna was unnecessary. As for Future Connected, I KNEW the Fog King was gonna be relevant eventually. I had faith.

Amazing work as always. Hoping the story expansion for XC3 has some Torna treatment and is large enough for a physical release too.
That's why i'm currently holding off buying the dlc ^^
Monolith soft said in an interview that they plan to make it as big as Torna
@@Unovachamp Well, that's great news ! I was really hoping for something like Torna, I wonder if we'll also get a physical release for it too
@@elflooffer5196 I hope so as well!
This aged poorly.

Dayum, a compliment from Pyra herself? You make me blush :D
Very well done! This is so cool bro
Edit: that music transition is amazing, it took me a few seconds to realise it changed
Yup, 4 different songs in total :)
Tornas story is so good. On God I wish I could forget everything in every game and replay every Xenoblade game.
OMG LITERALLY THIS MAKES ME WANNA REPLAY THESE Lmfao
those transitions were absolutly beautiful
xc 3 dlc has enormous shoes to fill lmao
Oh absolutely. But i trust Monlith Soft for delivering a great experience :D

I didn't even think of that lol
Should've done that... ^^
Future Connected couldn't be more relevant after that Nintendo Direct 💀
Hell yeah :D
That's why i made something arriving in... around 16h from now.
How did I miss this?! Beautifully done!!!

I really feeling it!
Watching your XC videos makes me want to start all over again ❤ Great work!
This was awesome! I'm so excited for 3's dlc!
This is amazing!!
Glad to hear that! :)
i hope xeno 3 will also get its own dlc story like this two. :)

Sure do
Pretty well done!!!
Thank you, i tried my best!

Torna DLC is amazing oh can't wait for XC3 DLC4 man trailer got me so hype
Maybe you'll get a bit more excited with the Video that'll come out in... around 6h from now :D
@@SparksOpus The actual trailer? really broo thankks
This is definitely how you start getting jobs to do this for up and coming games

Thx for this.
Ofc, it's my pleasure :)

Idk after experiencing the complete trilogy I think i would commit a hate crime if i hear someone say the dlc stories aren't necessary near me irl lol
