    Thanks for the video. I was looking for a decent explanation on how my vacuum advance works and how to test it, this was the perfect video to get a run down.

    I've always heard it be called a vacuum advance diaphragm. But im a rookie from the Mopar world. Nice vid,cheers mate 👍

    No Mighty Vacc Needed!
    Step one: Start Engine
    Step Two: Pull Off Advance Hose
    Step Three: With Your Mouth, Make The Advance Kick In, then let come back to idle
    You should see a change in the way your engine runs, you can hold pressure on it too this way way really set it to the way your needs are. Good luck!

    Thanks man! I’ve been banging my head against the wall trying to find this lean stumble & acts like a vacuum leak I’m gonna pick up that vacuum tool and test it out! Thanks again bud

    My truck has an old distributor in it and recently when I start to floor it it will do good for a few seconds then starts to die and if you hold on the gas it will backfire that sound like the canister?

    I was told you could suck on the hose and see if it works, idk if that’s true BUT I’d be curious to try

    Always wondered how the timing advance worked. Could you do a video on the timing advance on an idi diesel? For example how does it work, and what might be some symptoms that its not working.

    How do I connect it to the carburetor?? I carbed my fox do I just connect a like to one of the empty plugged ports on the carb??

    so is it possible that if a guy was running a large cam that made low vacuum he could get into trouble with this set up?

      Well sort of it would make it difficult to dial in initial timing on the low side as that is where the lack of vacuum becomes an issue when running a cam with a large amount of cam overlap however total timing would stay the same on the top end as cam overlap becomes less of an issue in producing vacuum at higher rpms

    I’ve had this misfire all summer, been throwing parts at this 85 cj like a fool. Went and bought a vacuum tester put it on the distributor vacuum and sure enough, not holding pressure. Think I found my misfire. Makes sense because it misfires in 3rd and fourth gear.

    Sos basically if I just jam it to advanced and make it stay there, it would have no low end all top end. Lol. My engine has no power after 3800 so I'm thinking that doesn't work.

    I thought you said on FB you weren’t coming back to TH-cam????? I get the 60 4x4 videos, but this a actual how-to? Don’t get me wrong I loved and miss your videos, but I know you had some turmoil personally cause of TH-cam, and what made you suddenly stop.
    From the sound of it at the beginning of the video, are you trying to comeback??? What gives......
